BEST BETS: 35 - 64 / $117.92 (-$10.08)
BEST BET: CHASE H HANOVER (8th)
SPOT PLAY: SHIPMASTER (1st)
Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(5) SHIPMASTER raced very well last week to rally for third and that race seems to prove this 4YO belongs with these. (1) OURMATEMENKO N debuts for the MacKenzie barn which has been pretty live here recently. (3) PAXAMILLION steps up looking for three straight for the Bongiorno barn; who's driving still up in the air as Bartlett was injured in an accident the other night.

Race 2: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) WHATS STANLEY GOT A steps up in class here (as most of them do) into NW20000 and this veteran has been very good recently. Looking at a smooth trip from the rail. (3) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A has a win and a close loss in his last two and he was odds-on in those affairs; he's got a post edge on other potential leavers and will offer a much better price. (4) FINVARRA A was overdue for a win and picked it up last week; will try to repeat that effort.
Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) NANDOLO N was a non-factor last week against better but now with the class relief this classy 12YO is one of the standouts. Fresh set of hands as Kelly gets the call. (4) TWIN B POWERBALL drops and draws an improved post in his second start off the bench. (7) FEDERER was facing much better when last at Yonkers but burned money in his last two; adds Lasix.
Race 4: Invitational Pace
(6) SWEET BEACH LIFE was gifted the win last week when nobody to his inside left the gate but don't take anything away from him as the Alexander trainee has been razor sharp. He's versatile too, as the win two back proved. (5) MOSSDALE BEN N was inexplicably taken off the gate and chose to trail, therefore having zero chance in last week's Invite. How about he actually leaves the gate tonight? (4) SOHO FIRESTONE A goes second-time Lasix for the Dilloian Jr. barn.
Race 5: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(2) I'M TALKIN HUNGRY has won his last two on the engine, first at Philly and last week at Yonkers; Stratton sticks and he's in a live spot to garner the hat trick. (3) SOUTHBEACH HANOVER debuts for the Cory Stratton barn via claim and he's won his last two at this level. (4) BLACK HAWK JOE A has been pretty good in all recent.
Race 6: NW11541 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) LITTLE LOUIE A was scratched sick out of his North American debut but the Bongiorno trainee since added Lasix and qualified fine. Import has the look of a major player regardless of who's driving. (7) HEMSWORTH N is the classiest of these and deserves consideration despite the poor post. (5) HEZA RISK TAKER A closed with a rush last week and was a winner the last time Holland drove.
Race 7: NW21480 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) UDDERLY SWEET A stepped up to this level and rated the pace but was no match for the winner; recent import moves back to the rail and gets another chance. (2) FORCE FULL A has looked great in his two local races for the Height barn after arriving from Australia; steps up again for his third start yet should be a major player. (4) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH has been a non-factor in four starts after returning to the races and I suppose he'll eventually be unleashed.

Race 8: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) CHASE H HANOVER has a world of speed and moves all the way back inside after finishing second in a 1:50 3/5 mile. Holland gets the catch drive and will be looking to head down the road. (5) VERDUN did exactly what was expected of him last week as he took advantage of a softer spot and wired the field. Lachance trainee will be back in chase mode tonight. (8) STERLING CHOICE is a legit talent but this is obviously a tough spot. Again, double-check who's driving.
Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) ALWAYS A THRILL was an easy winner at odds-on when last at this level and he's likely to see a better trip than he did in his last local try. (1) PLAY ACTION PASS now makes his second Yonkers start after the Burke barn shipped him in from Indiana and I'll look for him to be more of a pace factor tonight. (2) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N just missed in a solid eight-hole try last week and with his back class the step up in condition here shouldn't be a problem.
