BEST BETS: 29 - 50 / $94.12 (-$5.88)
BEST BET: SWEET BEACH LIFE (8th)
SPOT PLAY: RESILIENT N (6th)
Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(1) LYRICAL GENIUS A was reclaimed out of his last race by the Dilloian Jr. barn and he was a winner in his last two at this level for these connections. Bartlett is back driving and he lands the rail in a controlling position as the deserving favorite. (4) BETTOR BY SEASIDE won his last two versus $40K claimers, stepped up last week, drew the eight hole and that was that. He's back in the right spot. (7) OURMATEMENKO N has consistent quick last quarters and rallied well for second last start.

Race 2: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) ALTA CLASSIC A has won his last two at the $30K claiming level and after a start versus better last out where he ended up fourth the Laterza trainee is back where he's a proven winner. (1) PEACE OUT POSSE had little to offer when up at $40's off the Stratton reclaim; he too drops back to where he does the most damage. (3) EVER HOPING A picked up a small piece from the eight hole first out for Dilloian Jr., now gets post improvement and gets Bartlett.
Race 3: NW7556 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) JON I LOVE DAT has loads of speed but can be erratic and often has trouble finishing; 4YO ships down to Yonkers, moves to the Blackler barn and picks up Bartlett. Does he stop again or does he break out with a monster effort? It will cost you a short price to find out. (1) MUSIC HALL drops from $50K claimers and was a winner when last at this level; logical. (5) OPTICAL ILLUSION N has woken up in his last two and starts working his way back up the class ladder.
Race 4: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(2) BRUTALLYHANDSOME A's trip obviously didn't work out last week when dropped back to the level of the claim but he's proven with this type and will likely offer the best price of the main contenders in here. (1) BET ON BIG JOE went a solid effort in defeat first out off the Laterza claim; picks up Holland tonight, who has options now starting from the rail. (4) HIMSELF N blew away a softer field last week and despite getting Bartlett in the bike he may be relegated to an off-the-pace trip this time.
Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) AMERITRIC had progressively been getting sharper and sharper and it culminated with him setting a life mark with that latest win; Height trainee does face better now and loses Bartlett but he draws the rail and should be in line for a live trip. (2) THE IDEAL DANCER A turned things around in his last couple of starts with a win and a second; Lachance trainee was eligible at time of entry so he doesn't have to double-jump in class. (4) LYONS FRANKY J arrives from Canada and joins the Engblom barn and the 4YO comes off a sharp winning qualifier at Philly. He's got a lot to prove class-wise.
Race 6: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) RESILIENT N was in a tough spot to make his North American debut but he finished with plenty of pace in a last quarter timed in :26 2/5. I'm thinking he'll take plenty of money and has live ones to his inside but I can't go against him. (3) ESCAPE TO AMERICA saw his winning streak snapped when he was chasing a very well-rated pace; Daguet trainee is still sharp and must be included. (1) MY ULTIMATE BYRON A was in too tough last week and is now back where he fits better.
Race 7: 3-6YO Open Pace
(2) VERDUN is back inside and that's where he always does the most damage; Lachance student is as consistent as they come and with any check in here he goes over $100K for the season. (3) CAPTAIN MOORE A hasn't put in a poor effort since the Borgata series and he's capable of winning from anywhere; dangerous. (6) EVILEYE FLEEGLE is two-for-two since Burke took over and he gets a big test for class here; will be a big price and offers value underneath.

Race 8: Invitational Pace
(2) SWEET BEACH LIFE is so sharp right now he's impossible to ignore. Alexander trainee took last week off after beating Mossdale Ben N in the Invite on June 22 and he gets the best of the "2 thru 6" draw. (6) DANDY IDEAL is back at Yonkers after that recent 1:48 3/5 win at Pocono; 4YO has the speed to overcome the draw. (3) CATALPA RESCUE A is also razor-sharp and was an upset Invite winner two back.
Race 9: $15,000 Claiming Pace
This dreary field is a combined 5 for 134 this year and nobody has much current form. (5) CRUNCH HANOVER makes his second local start for a new barn after picking up a small share upon arrival from Canada. I'm thinking maybe he can be a little closer to the action up front tonight. He is a $300K earner so there is some class to work with. (1) LETSMAKELOTSAMONEY made the lead from the eight hole before tiring last start; moves all the way to the rail and recent efforts were competitive. (6) CYRUS N has been burning plenty of money recently and figures to be an honest price tonight; Marohn's driving for Pete Tritton.
