MEET STATS: 197 - 544 / $1,116.60 (+$28.60)

Best Bet: YANKEE BOOTS (6th)
Spot Play: IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N (5th)
Race 1: $25,000 Claiming Pace
(1) ROUGH ODDS was toiling in Ohio, came out east to join the 'Gareth Dowse' barn and has jogged in four straight. He stays at the same level as last week's win and figures to take another at a short price. (3) CHANGE STRIDE N drops back to $25's, gets post relief and looks like a major player here. (2) KINGSTONS BAD BOY goes for another new barn tonight and he figures to be close up throughout from this spot.

Race 2: $25,000 Claiming Pace
(5) MARTY MONKHOUSER A drops back to the level of his last win, which was three back going first out for Jenn Bongiorno. Veteran is a threat to take these wire-to-wire. (1) TALK SHOW raced pretty well first start off the $30K Devita claim, so why is he in for $25K tonight? Assuming there's nothing wrong here he should go well from this spot. (4) REAL LUCKY N added Lasix off the Gillis claim last week but never got involved. This is a more realistic spot and he should be a good price.
Race 3: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(4) RECORD YEAR didn't fire last out when uncovered into a well-rated pace but he's had his moments here in prior starts this season versus similar and he faces no standouts here. (1) BIG SIR invades from Harrington where he's been doing some good things recently and he draws the innermost post. (6) RHP arrives from Northfield as one of a bunch of veterans that Ron Burke bought off of Kash; this guy has always had good gate speed.
Race 4: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) NVESTMENT BLUECHIP went off 98/1 and 122/1 in his last two starts but may be the favorite here as he faces softer and moves all the way inside; three back he a was a good second with Kakaley driving. (5) NOCTURNAL BLUECHIP converted last week in a soft spot and he should be a player again tonight. (3) OUR MAX PHACTOR N failed at odds-on three back and showed little in his latest two starts but the Harris trainee should be better than what he's been showing.
Race 5: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(1) IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N was left alone on the front end last out and easily wired $30K claimers; he was taken out of that race by Devita and bumps up in class but should be a major threat to repeat. (2) LYONS WILLIAM faltered badly two back then bounced right back with Marohn driving and scored at over 8/1; overall he's been a great claim and should come out of this race with another big piece. (7) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN can never be fully ignored because he's always a speed threat.
Race 6: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) YANKEE BOOTS is fresh stock from the Jenn Bongiorno barn arriving from Northfield with a $50K price tag. He's got a 1:49 3/5 mark this season over the half. (4) SOHO LEVIATHAN A was a good second in his debut for Devita off the claim. (7) REVELRY never got involved last week and he's drawn outside again; he can add value underneath if Stratton can get him in play.
Race 7: Open Handicap Pace
(3) SHADOW CAT has worked his way all the way up to the Open ranks and he's proven he belongs here; he gets needed post relief tonight and for whatever reason Dave Miller is listed to drive. I guess that's only a bonus if he shows up. (5) RAUKAPUKA RULER N was nipped last week in an improved try and the Pete Tritton trainee remains a speed threat. (7) LEONIDAS A returns locally (now in the Jeff Gregory barn, not sure why) but there's no cakewalks to the lead tonight from his post seven draw.
Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY was a winner from a similar spot four back and he's had a few sneaky-good efforts here at good prices this year. (3) LEVINE seems to be right there every start for the Zeron-owned gelding and tonight should be no different. (1) AIR FORCE HANOVER is probably best a level or two down but he does land a good inside post.
Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts
(1) OSTRO HANOVER drops in class again but more importantly moves all the way inside which arguably makes him the one to beat. (3) SEMI TOUGH had his moments in the Borgata and will have more to offer in his second return start. (2) MICKY GEE N obviously has the talent but faces an uncertain trip here; will he be grinding into a rated pace?
Race 10: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) LYONS KING has picked up his game since moving to the Jenn Bongiorno barn and he returns locally into a very live spot. (1) CAN B PERFECT got that long-awaited win last out after knocking on the door for some time and he draws best again looking to repeat. (3) MAC’S JACKPOT is still somehow shutout on the season but that win will come soon.
Race 11: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) TIGER BARON gives up a little to others here in the class department but there's no disputing how sharp he is; he can convert here with a good trip. (1) JACK’S LEGEND N is the one to beat but will offer little value. (2) KINNDER JACKSON has been rock-solid in his last two beating lesser.
Race 12: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) BILL HALEY N took plenty of money last start but ended up failing to fire off cover. He does move in a few spots and should be set up closer to the front. (3) KERFORD ROAD A drops a notch off a good runner-up effort last week and he should go well here. (5) SPEED MAN N is an inconsistent sort but he can easily beat these with one of his better efforts.
