Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(2) BLUEBIRD RECON has outraced his odds in his last three races, hitting the board in all three at monster odds. Speed, inside post, smallish field and lack of any standout in here makes the veteran worth a play. (3) FLOW WITH JOE was a solid second last week, though he lost to a horse that was an 0-fer. He steps back up a notch to a level he's not been successful at but from this spot he figures to be right there. (1) GINGER TREE PETE is back in for a tag and gets Bartlett to drive; obvious contender.

Race 2: 3-5YO $50,000/$75,000 Claiming Pace
(4) RJ SPORTS IMAGE put in his usual quality front-end effort but was collared by a good 4YO from the Alexander barn. Engblom trainee drops in for a tag and may be able to sneak away on the lead. (3) STRIKING IMPACT was hung to dry at odds-on last week but his prior two were blowouts. He'll be tough here. (5) STELLAR YANKEE has certainly been stellar over his last five for the Cory Stratton barn; he'll be coming from last but only has a few to pass.

Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) MOTIVE HANOVER was a winner over at Pocono in his first start after the two-month break in action and the Bongiorno trainee finds a very good spot to make his Yonkers return. (6) REIGNING DEO finished willingly in his return start and he was facing better than these when we saw him earlier in the year; aggressive try coming? (2) YO A J was in a bit tough in his last couple facing much more seasoned foes, though his final-quarter action was decent. 4YO figures to be sitting close to the pace.
Race 4: 3-5YO $50,000 Claiming Pace
(2) IMMA BE is a neck shy of a four-race win streak since joining the Berkeley barn and he should be able to rate comfortably on the front end as the chalk. (6) SHAKESPEARE is back in the Daguet barn and he looks like the main threat despite drawing the outside post, as he's the only other one in here that's proven at this level. (3) UMBERTO hasn't threatened for the win in quite some time but he should be good for a share.
Race 5: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) IGNATUS A was a strong winner last week with Stratton in his local return and he gets the call to take another despite the rise in class. (1) SAVE ME A DANCE draws the rail, returns to Bartlett and is an obvious contender. (3) WALKINSHAW N hits the board with regularity and the veteran always gives an honest effort.
Race 6: NW11321 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) NONE BETTOR A cruised on the front end last week at Pocono yet he still qualifies for one of the lowest levels he's seen here in ages. Classmaster figures to head to the lead and should be difficult to catch. (1) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N fits perfectly with these but the Bongiorno trainee was recently an injured scratch so proceed with caution. (2) B LIKE CRUISER raced much better last start and Stratton drives again. Expect him to get away cleanly close to the front.
Race 7: NW20901 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) VIVA LAS VEGAS N quietly races well every week and tonight from the inside post Lachance can save ground close to the front and may be freshest late at a price. (4) NANDOLO N is clearly the one to beat and will be heavily favored but he's disappointed in the past, including two back when he missed a nose at odds-on. (1) OZONE BLUE CHIP raced evenly from the pocket last start and he figures to be on the front or just in behind again.
Race 8: Open Handicap Pace; 1-4, 5-8 drawn
(5) PLEASELETMEKNOW beat up on age-restricted foes in his last couple and the 4YO is currently sharp enough that from this decent midpack starting spot Kakaley can be aggressive and hit the front. (7) ANOTHRMASTRPIECE N is also razor-sharp and speed is his game; Bartlett will be firing. (1) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK steps back up to the Open ranks off a going-away win and he does seem capable with these but needs a perfect trip.

Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) JUDDY DOUGLAS A left town and pummeled cheaper at Pocono; he returns with perhaps renewed confidence and he meets a beatable field. (5) THE REGULATOR drops back to a winning level and Bartlett will be sending the Engblom trainee. (1) CAVIART SARGENT steps up a notch off a couple of decent on-the-board finishes and he can hit the ticket again with a smooth trip.
Race 10: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) ALOTBETTOR N doesn't seem to be a flashy winning machine but he's quietly taken four of his last six and after being in a tough spot last week he drops back down a notch and moves inside. Veteran deserves top billing. (3) BRACKLEY BEACH had been knocking on the door for some time and he finally got his first win this year. Can he now make it two straight? Quite possible. (1) DON DOMINGO N has been a bit shaky since returning from the layoff but he needed last week's race and he's loaded with back class.
Race 11: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) POINTOMYGRANSON meets a competitive field but deserves the top spot based on his speed, form and decent post. Kakaley sticks with him over an Alexander trainee. (5) NOME HANOVER had been coming up a bit short in most of his recent starts but if Joe B can get him off the gate in good order he could find a live stalking trip. (7) SAILBOAT HANOVER may have been rated in the top spot if not for the poor post; does help the price however.
