MEET STATS: 209 - 646 / $1,066.90 (-$225.10) BEST BETS: 33 - 59 / $136.30 (+$18.30) Best Bet: MOTIVE HANOVER (4th) Spot Play: BECKHAMS Z TAM ( 5th) Race 1: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (6) VIRGIN STORM hasn't been a prolific winner over the last couple of seasons but he was a close second versus similar two back (at odds-on) and does fit well at this level; he figures to be a reasonable price as well. (4) STANFORD COURT had been invisible through a nearly two-month stretch but woke up last week on the class drop. DiDomenico trainee gets more class relief and Bongiorno figures to have him in play. (2) BETTER UP seemed well-meant last out and held gamely for a board spot; early speed from an improved post makes him a player. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (7) CHASE H HANOVER goes for four straight (with his fourth different driver) and as one of the top 3-year-olds from a season ago he is transitioning well with these tough, more experienced rivals. This is a solid field he meets here but if he can clear the lead can he be run down? (2) PYRO drops from the Open level and is always a big player with this type, especially from a good post. (1) TRACEUR HANOVER paced a huge back half to beat lesser last week and the Burke charge draws best on the class hike. Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) RAUKAPUKA RULER N was just short from the pocket last week in a solid try and the Peter Tritton trainee is getting closer and closer to that elusive win; let's hope tonight's the night. (3) SHADOW CAT has quietly been racing very well and he should be a big player here from the improved post. (1) ROCKAPELO gets major class and post relief but don't take too short of a price as he's burned money here in the past. Race 4: $75,000 Claiming Pace (6) MOTIVE HANOVER went a big effort in defeat two back so it was no surprise to see him win his next race out; Jenn Bongiorno trainee has firmly established himself at this level and looms the one to beat. (1) CHANGE STRIDE N finds himself back in claimers after taking two straight from off the pace versus softer; inside draw should help with a live trip. (3) EXPLOIT gets needed post relief as he enters for a tag and two back he missed a nose in a :27 flat final quarter. Race 5: $50,000 Claiming Pace (4) BECKHAMS Z TAM was a good second at the $75K level first off the claim then had legit excuses in his last two; veteran pacer drops back down a notch and should offer value in this very competitive event. (6) BALLARAT BOOMERANG debuts for Dowse off the claim which means he gets leading driver Bartlett in the bike and he's going for two straight. (7) ELWELL has had a great season with $126K banked already and would be rated higher if not for the post. Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) CONBOYVILLE has blossomed as a 6-year-old and despite having just one win on the season it was a career-best effort; last week he was third best to a very heavy favorite and he could go well here at a decent price. (6) PACE N PRIDE N closed with plenty of pace in that strange race last week and the start prior he missed a nose from the pocket; contender. (5) FORTIFY didn't do much in Canada the last few starts but the Takter trainee was a winner at Philly the start prior. Race 7: Winners over $30,000 LT Pace (3) PAT STANLEY N was put on the front end last week and faltered late; veteran has proven to be more effective when chasing and he figures to have a live target from this spot. (5) BEE TWO BEE put it all together last start with a big speed effort; Kakaley drives the Burke trainee tonight looking to repeat. (1) WALKINSHAW N was too far back last week but closed a ton to get up for third; Hudson trainee needs a trip but is sharp. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 8: Open Handicap Pace (5) PRICELESS BEACH has been a class act since arriving at Yonkers and has yet to put in a poor effort. Obviously he had no chance last week but the midpack post tonight gives Kakaley some options and the Bako trainee will be a good price. (4) FUNATTHEBEACH N was also caught too far back in last week's Open, which was dominated on the front end. Clearly this guy needs no introduction. (8) LEONIDAS A released Tattoo Artist last week then came a head shy of running that one down. With early speed now in his arsenal expect Siegelman to be forwardly placed off the gate. Race 9: $75,000 Claiming Pace (5) DELIGHTFUL TERROR was very game in defeat last week as he could not get past a stubborn Keystone Phoenix but was safely clear of the rest. Gillis trainee can certainly build off that effort. (4) HEISMAN PLAYER has been a consistent player at this level most of the year and obviously looms large from this spot. (8) KEYSTONE PHOENIX can blast off the gate so clearing the field into the first turn won't be an impossible task.
