Race 1: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace

(1) ON DAYBOO finished with pace after a soft trip but with the rail and Joe B. back aboard I expect a more aggressive try, in line with his prior starts. (5) SURFSIDE BEACH has been a rent-a-horse recently and stays at the same level off last week's nose defeat. (4) LAZ should be a late player with a reasonable setup.

Race 2: $50,000 Claiming Pace

(1) TUFFENUFTOWEARPINK is going well now and he enters another new barn via claim; connections step him up a notch but he faces no standouts at this level and is likely the one to catch from the rail. (4) HOPNROLL HEAVEN was unable to get the job done last week when dropped in class and two back at this level he was beaten by double digits (though the winner did go in 50 flat). Time-wise he's a player here. (6) CENTURY ENDEAVOR has been good since moving to the Cory Stratton barn.

Race 3: $30,000 Claiming Pace

(5) OZONE BLUE CHIP was right there in three starts following the Bucci claim so it wasn't a big surprise to see this veteran get it done last week; I'll give him the call to repeat. (2) SMOKIN BY N couldn't last the duration in his first start off the Dilloian claim and ended up third to the top choice; Kakaley gets the drive tonight from a good post. (6) MAJOR DESIRE goes for three in a row but drawing outside most of his competition may complicate things.

Race 4: 3-5YO Open Pace

(4) VENTURESOME ARDEN N just missed as the choice in last Monday's invite and in theory this is a slightly easier group. Import hinted at his real talent in the Borgata series and from this post Stratton has options. (5) ALL CLASS was used pretty hard in his local return and now Bartlett gets the call on this Engblom 4YO. He's definitely going forward off the gate. (2) PLEASELETMEKNOW picked up the off-the-pace win last week and the former Messenger champ is easily capable of repeating.

Race 5: NW11221 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) FAMILY RECIPE is just 1 for 15 on the season but he drops back to a level where he's most effective and he can take these a long way on the lead. (3) HAZEVILLE steps up again looking for a third consecutive win and Holland stays aboard. (2) TWIN B DELUXE took a big drop in class for last week's race but he could not last; he steps up a notch and should be competitive from this inside post.

Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) ROLLING WITH SAM grinded into a soft pace from a similar spot last out and could not get by; Adamczyk trainee figures to be close to the speed again and is capable of rolling late. (3) DEETZY had no chance his last two when up in class and drawn outside; classy veteran finished second his prior four starts. (4) ALL ALONE deserves respect as always from these connections.

Race 7: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) FUNATTHEBEACH N finished with plenty of pace from too far back last start but the versatile veteran lands an improved post and can get it done with any reasonable trip. (5) ROCKNROLL RUNA A took advantage of a winning spot last week and he's more than capable of holding his own against better. (1) HIMSELF N gets tested for class but he's been very sharp.

Race 8: Invitational Pace

(8) ENERGETIC HANOVER has four wins and three seconds with almost $100K banked through seven starts since hitting town and he deserves massive amounts of respect despite his outside assignment. (5) HELLABALOU is back locally after a two-stop stakes tour (winning the Camluck at Western Fair and a no-chance trip in the Battle of Lake Erie at Northfield) and he lands midpack but does have speed to his inside. (3) HEMSWORTH N was a pocket-pulling winner in last week's invite; Siegelman is back with the drive.

Race 9: NW20006 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) SUMOMENTSOMWHERE A hasn't won in a while but this just feels like a great spot to succeed; won't be much of a price, however. (1) JAHAN HANOVER is back to Bartlett and is in line for a live trip. (8) WHATS STANLEY GOT A was 15 cents on the dollar in last week's win but now up a notch in class from the eight hole with the trainer Cory Stratton driving he'll be closer to 50/1; talent-wise he fits right in and maybe he can sneak in for 3rd or 4th.

Race 10: NW5271 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) RACING RAMPAGE had solid 2 and 3YO campaigns in Ohio and now the connections send him out east to land in the Alexander barn; upgrade here in the sulky as well with Kakaley. (2) BROOKDALE MIKI was 0 for 17 up in Canada this year but he's sent down to the live Bako barn and should be competitive with these. (3) HUNTING ZONE looks currently best of the locals.
