2026 MEET STATS: 122 - 356 / $688.79 (-$23.21) BEST BETS: 23 - 36 / $74.26 (+$2.26) BEST BET: COALFORD TOPGUY GB (3rd) SPOT PLAY: MATAI PHIL N (9th) Race 1: $15,000 Claiming Pace (5) CHECKONWILLIAM GB finds himself in another new barn and stays at the level he's most productive at. On paper there's not much speed to his inside so maybe catch-driver Brennan can hustle him from the gate. (1) DIAMONDBEACH was overmatched recently at The Meadowlands so he comes back locally and finds a soft spot. (6) HANK THE HUNK finished well last week in that race that favored closers but that's two consecutive live starts; sharp sort could rally for a share again. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace (1) LYRICAL GENIUS A was collared late in a good speed try when bumped back up in class off the Dilloian Jr. reclaim and the veteran import finds another controlling spot tonight. If he's allowed to rate he can wire these. (4) OURMATEMENKO N had solid speed at both ends last week when he beat $30's and he looks sharp enough to handle the bump in price. (6) OVERTHINKING gets Kelly in the bike for the absent Bartlett and the Engblom trainee just missed last out. Gelding has been solid in his last few and will be a price. Race 3: NW10971 in last 5 starts Pace (2) COALFORD TOPGUY GB could not overcome the tough trip from the seven hole last week but he's back inside where he had previously won two straight. Kelly catch drives for the leading trainer on a horse who's done nothing wrong since arriving. (3) HAMMERING HANK woke up in his last two when significantly dropped in class; sharp sort is making his way back up the ladder. (6) ROLLING WITH SAM hasn't been a factor in his last few but he shifts back from $40K claimers to this conditioned class; maybe he can land a piece at a price. Race 4: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace Not entirely sure what to make of (2) KEVIN KLINE N as the recent import was a non-factor at Philly in his first two tries but the Lachance trainee faces a softer field as he ships in to Yonkers. What I am pretty sure of is that he shouldn't be 15/1 on the ML. (4) SAMHARA N was second best in a fast mile when dropped in class last week and he should be a major player here. (1) RYDINGTOTHEWIRE steps up another notch despite not winning in his last couple and from the rail in this short field Lauren Tritton should be cutting the mile or right in behind. Race 5: $50,000 Claiming Pace (3) SINBAD N has been razor sharp winning his last two after returning from The Meadowlands and I'm on board again despite facing tougher. (5) MANFERNO was relegated to the back in his last start after being forwardly placed in his prior three starts when returning from Delaware. Buter is back driving and he was in the bike for his two recent wins. (4) BE DAZZLED LOU A may be the speed of the speed with Bongiorno; needs a little more late. Race 6: NW7651 in last 5 starts Pace (2) GDS THUNDER GB was sharp earlier in the season and hasn't been bad recently but has certainly tailed off a bit. Regular driver Siegelman figures to be more aggressive tonight and I'd like to see him on the lead. The veteran is sandwiched between a couple of interesting rivals, with (1) ALL ALONE getting massive post relief after three straight brutal draws, and the returning (3) NANDOLO N to his outside, who needs no introduction to any Yonkers followers over the last five years or so. We know what that classmaster is still capable of. Race 7: Invitational Pace (5) ITS A ME MARIO had come back very sharp for his 6YO campaign and even had a win and a second through early rounds of the Borgata but he's been MIA the last couple of weeks and chose to qualify instead (and won). Since it's too late for the series final he finds a field where the Tritton trainee can do serious damage. (2) WHATS STANLEY GOT A took a ride to Plainridge last week and flew home to just miss. Trainer Cory Stratton was in the bike, now brother Jordan returns and he's been an Open-type in the past. (4) COPPERFIELD was an easy winner in his last local try for the top Engblom barn. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) QUOTE ME NOT N was just shy in his last two efforts and now from the rail catch driver Kelly can take the initiative from the outset. (3) EVER M won three straight in $25K claimers and was taken out of his last start. Steps up a notch now for the Height barn looking for the grand slam. (5) ALTA CLASSIC A was able to make the front last start where he likes it but he also fails to finish most of those races. Maybe Holland can work out a pocket ride instead and look to get lucky. Race 9: NW16551 in last 5 starts Pace (8) MATAI PHIL N draws a brutal post but he's been very sharp for an extended period of time. Driver Brent Holland likes to be aggressive and can he possibly generate enough early speed from this guy? If he can improve position then watch out! (4) ALWAYS A THRILL faces much softer (aside from the top choice) and this is close to a perfect spot to pick up a win. (1) SIX DEGREES drops a class and moves back inside.
