Race 1: $25,000 Claiming Pace

(3) FOX VALLEY INFERNO woke up in a big way in his last two starts when dropped in class and he faces a field with many question marks here as he moves back into claimers. Gelding should be in line for a close-up trip. (4) MAJOR CROCKER A raced reasonably well in his first start off the bench and he can show more tonight. (1) CHANGE STRIDE N was taken for $25K out of last week's start despite being 0 for the year.

Race 2: $40,000-$50,000 Claiming Handicap Pace

(1) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN did a good job keeping up with a blazing frontrunner last week and was clearly second best. Veteran should be controlling the action here and can take these wire-to-wire. (3) ROCK ON LINE came out of the same race as the top choice and he was gapping badly throughout but did finish with some interest; Stratton's back driving. (2) LACHIE MAGUIRE N had trouble reaching last out but he will be much closer to the front tonight.

Race 3: $25,000-$30,000 Claiming Handicap Pace

(6) TWIN B SPEEDO has had a series of tough trips but he gets Brennan back in the bike coming off the Burke reclaim and I don't think it would be a surprise if he turned things around. (5) CRUZING HILL was at the back most of the way last week as they duked it out up front and he made one big run to sweep them all; that's three big efforts since moving to the Jenn Bongiorno barn and he obviously looms large here. (8) ROCK THE NITE faced pressure every step of the way last week in his debut for the Devita barn and he still almost won; he obviously faces an uncertain trip from the eight hole but he's too sharp to completely ignore.

Race 4: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) SOME WARATAH A already has a Winners-over and an Open win to his credit since arriving from Down Under and he returns to Yonkers off a series of strong efforts; Tyler Buter picks up the catch-drive tonight. (2) JUSTASEC N was a good second recently at The Meadowlands in 1:45 3/5, and that was just his second U.S. start. (5) LETS HAVE ANOTHER went a punishing mile when shipped north to join the Peter Tritton barn but he faces better here.

Race 5: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) TYGA HANOVER had a halfway-decent showing in the Borgata series and was a good second to a classy winner last week at Philly; Harris barn has been going pretty well recently. (5) BRONX SEELSTER has missed over a month but should be ready to go coming off that qualifier. (1) I'M SOME GRADUATE is more than proven with this type but that wasn't the most inspiring qualifier over at The Meadowlands. Hard to imagine a Burke trainee that's not ready for action, however.

Race 6: Winners over $20,000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) SHERIFF N went from the Borgata to a soft NW15000 and took care of business as expected; bump up in class shouldn't be a problem for this Peter Tritton trainee. (1) MOONSHINE KISSES has two wins, three seconds and a third in his last six starts. Consistent sort has good early speed and draws best. (3) ALBERGO HANOVER was a sharp winner in his last two facing high-end claimers; Burke trainee will probably be laying just off the pace and should be fresh late.

Race 7: Open Handicap Pace

(3) ROLLWITHPAPAJOE basically toured the track last week from the eight hole but prior to that wasted race the Jenn Bongiorno trainee had been razor sharp and the move back inside will help immensely. (1) MICKY GEE N earns a trip back up to the Open ranks and he gets a generous rail assignment; we all know what he's capable of when he's on the top of his game. (8) RAUKAPUKA RULER N never had an anxious moment as last week's wire-to-wire Open winner. Obviously he's got no shot coming from last so we'll see if Stratton can hustle him out of the gate.

Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) HEISMAN PLAYER has just been going evenly of late but he faces much softer here and seems to have little excuse. (5) TIN ROOF RAIDER A was a well-driven off-the-pace winner in his local return; will we see some speed from this guy tonight? (1) TIGER BARON had little chance from post eight last out but he finished fine with a :27 4/5 final quarter; clearly the move from eight hole to the rail makes him a contender.

Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) CAVAIRT LUCA is no longer the top-notch pacer who grinded his way to a million dollars but the Burke trainee is still plenty competitive with this type, especially from an inside post. (3) CAN B PERFECT saved ground and was second best to the sharp front-running winner last week; prior to that he had a series of excuses with tough trips. Smooth sailing can land him a big share. (5) BLANK STARE is an interesting four-year-old shipping in off two rugged trips to begin his season. We'll see how he fits in here class-wise.

Race 10: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) WALKINSHAW N raced decently in his last two but the outside posts were too much to overcome; three back from an inside spot he put in a big effort only to get run over by a sharp Speed Man N. It feels like this race goes through him. (3) TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY was a big upset winner two back and he raced well last week at Tioga; he can add some value to the exotics. (5) FINE DIAMOND was a 1:51 4/5 winner two back; that's more than fast enough to beat these.
