2026 MEET STATS: 82 - 230 / $451.69 (-$8.31) BEST BETS: 15 - 23 / $47.78 (+$1.78) BEST BET: SHINE A LIGHT (3rd) SPOT PLAY: AYE AYE CAPTAIN N (2nd) Race 1: NW15551 in last 5 starts Pace (2) WHATS STANLEY GOT A doesn't always seem to win when expected like two back when he faltered at 4/5 but with the move back inside and post edge on his main competition I'll give him a shot. (4) VANDERBILT N returns to Yonkers and just missed from a similar spot in his last local start. (5) ROCKET CITY A is another fresh face arriving from Australia, this one for the Lachance barn. That qualifier was very good. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2 (3) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N paced a big back half in round one and almost pulled off the upset, and he's got a number of big off-the-pace efforts over the last few months. Similar effort here can get it done. (1) HOWLENTHEHILLS figures to have benefitted from last week's race, his first since last October. Alexander trainee is likely to take control from the outset. (5) SOHO FIRESTONE A just got up late after sitting the pocket last week. He started from the rail in that race and now moves out to post five, so logic would dictate that the trip may be tougher tonight. Race 3: $15,000 Claiming Pace (4) SHINE A LIGHT goes for five straight overall (and seven straight at this $15K claiming level) and he's done it for multiple barns. Deserving favorite again. (1) SMOOTH LOU has also raced well for multiple barns and poses the main threat to the top choice. (3) LONG SHOT BUCKETS was a 32/1 winner last out with Bongiorno on the catch drive, and he's in the bike again. Race 4: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2 (4) MOSSDALE BEN N has added a new weapon to the arsenal - early speed. That new dimension makes this talented import even more dangerous. He may be relegated to coming from off the pace tonight but the value may be there as second or third choice. (3) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR won at odds-on right off the bench and looks to go two-for-two in the series. (1) CELTIC SPIRIT N didn't have the easiest trip in his debut for the Bongiorno barn but it should be a different story tonight starting from the rail. Race 5: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) CURLY JAMES A was forced to come from off the pace last start and he raced decently from there but just couldn't reach. Three back he was able to clear the front from the outside post so I'm hopeful he can do so tonight. (4) COPPERFIELD could not polish it off last start as he was run down by #7 in here but he deserves another strong look in here. (1) TENZING BROMAC N was 3 for 5 up at Saratoga this year and raced okay in his Yonkers return; rail draw makes him a player. Race 6: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2 (4) REDWOOD HANOVER most likely will have to work harder than he did in round one when he walked to the half but he was strong from there to win his 2026 debut and he may be even better tonight. (1) SHERLOCK N finished right there at a big price last week and I think he's close to proving he belongs with the upper echelon of pacers. (6) CAPTAIN ALBANO didn't deliver at very short odds in his first race of the year and now he starts from the outermost post. Clearly the talent is there but I have mixed feelings about tonight. Race 7: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2 (3) CHASE H HANOVER was a game winner in his Yonkers return and the veteran speedster will be on or right behind the lead again. Could offer a touch of value with #2 getting a ton of attention. Besides that one I'm not sure anyone else can step up to defeat the Stratton trainee. (2) DONEGAL LUTHER N has done nothing wrong in his two North American starts and does have a slight tactical edge on his main rival. (5) TWISTED DESTINY makes just his second start as a 4YO and one could argue that the Chris Ryder trainee will be tighter tonight. Race 8: $50,000 Claiming Pace (4) BE DAZZLED LOU A saw his three-race winning streak snapped last week when bumped up to $50K claimers, after Bongiorno dipped in for just $20K back in February. Gelding moves in a couple of spots and could be more involved in the early stages. His main competition is likely to come from the two inside rivals, (1) BRUTALLYHANDSOME A, who finished well for second in his debut at this level, and (2) KOPI LUWAK, the Burke trainee who is reunited with Gingras and they teamed up to win back on February 5th. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: $40,000 Claiming Pace This looks like an evenly-matched field of veteran gelding claimers. (3) ALL ALONE is back in for a tag and gets Gingras in the bike again after they teamed up to finish a good second last week to a dropping rival. Reasonable starting post. (2) LUCAPELO A has been a model of consistency recently and just picked up his first seasonal win; also draws well. (7) LYONS BENJAMIN is a major speed threat even from the outside post as he drops back to a more reasonable level, and (8) LYRICAL GENIUS A also has speed and has been sharp. I can see either or both of them trying to fire off the gate without a ton of speed to their inside. Race 10: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) BOILING OAR sailed down the road for the win in his debut for new connections. Faces better but draws best and will likely be looking to control the action again. (2) SOHO DOW JONES A drops to the lowest level he's seen in ages and he gets Bartlett in the bike; deserving favorite. (6) FRISCO BAY N makes his first start after moving to the Bongiorno barn and was an easy winner in that recent Meadowlands qualifier.
