MEET STATS: 87 - 282 / $427.20 (-$136.80) BEST BETS: 16 - 26 / $56.90 (+$4.90) Best Bet: LEONIDAS A (3rd) Spot Play: BEE TWO BEE (6th) Race 1: Borgata Pacing Series Open FFA Pacers Leg #3 (3) CHASE H HANOVER was a good second to This Is The Plan in the first leg of the Borgata, his 4-year-old debut, then was lost at the back of the pack last week. From this improved post he'll be much more involved in the action and should loom large late. (2) AMERICAN HISTORY went on a big speed mission last week but could not last. I'm just not convinced he can pull it off, especially at a short price. (5) SEMI TOUGH seems to have issues getting into gear, and he often gets moving too late. Gingras gets the drive tonight and maybe that helps his cause. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $75,000 Claiming Pace (3) RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN N has been rock-solid in his last two races at this level and Bartlett figures to be sending this veteran import to the front. (1) MACH DORO A upset from off the pace last start and the versatile gelding could be looking at a perfect stalking trip behind the top one. (5) BELTANE A bumped up to this level off the Chris Height claim and overcame the eight hole with a vicious late rally; can he pull it off again? [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Borgata Pacing Series Open FFA Pacers Leg #3 (5) LEONIDAS A missed out on an opportunity to race last week when he was late for Lasix so the connections may be extra motivated to get the job done tonight; talented pacer clearly deserves top billing. (3) IM SIR BLAKE A has quietly raced very well in the first two legs of the series and the Erv Miller trainee lands in a pretty good spot here. (4) COVERED BRIDGE disappointed last week when trying to gain into the free-wheeling frontrunner; Burke trainee was a solid second in round one. Race 4: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) RED RIGHT HAND has been unable to seal the deal in his last two at the Open level but the drop in class combined with the better draw should get this talented four-year-old back on track. (3) ALL HANDS ON DECK has also been racing well recently without a win to show for it and the Jenn Bongiorno trainee also finds a better spot. (2) BRAEVIEW BONDI A drops out of the Borgata and figures to offer a nice price. With a smooth trip he can land a piece. Race 5: $50,000 Claiming Pace - $10K Gtd. Pick-5 Pool (1) KINNDER JACKSON has been in raging form over his last few starts and he stays at a winning level while drawing best off the Dowse reclaim. There's plenty of talent in here but they will all be chasing. (3) BLACK CHEVRON N was a good second in his local return and he can be there again with a good trip. (8) VENIER HANOVER is up in class again going for six straight but he is stuck in the dreaded post eight. He'll be a healthy price trying to come from off the pace. Race 6: Borgata Pacing Series Open FFA Pacers Leg #3 (4) BEE TWO BEE has raced pretty well in the first two legs of the series, picking up small shares and valuable points. Tonight he lands in a spot where he figures to be aggressively handled. (1) BELMONT MAJOR N went off a big price last week but finished with solid late pace; now he moves inside and figures to be much more involved. (2) PAT STANLEY N has been racing great for Cory Stratton and he should land another nice piece here. Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (7) DANCIN DRAGON returns locally at a reduced level than he's used to facing and he does have early speed at his disposal; Bartlett drives again and he can go with these at a price if he can get involved. (2) SPRINGSTEEN is one that will definitely be more involved tonight and the erratic veteran is always capable. (3) TWIN B TUFFENUFF went through the motions from the eight hole in his last start but did beat cheaper (at 1/9) the start prior. Race 8: Borgata Pacing Series Open FFA Pacers Leg #3 (2) THIS IS THE PLAN faltered on the front end last week with seemingly no excuse but I'll assume that was just a fluke (they can't win every week, can they?) and give him another chance, assuming he isn't too short of a price. (1) TATTOO ARTIST figures to be aggressively handled from the outset. Will Dunn be intent on cutting this mile? (3) WESTERN JOE picks up Tetrick tonight and should be within striking distance from this spot; we all saw how good he was two back when he grinded his way to victory. Race 9: Borgata Pacing Series Open FFA Pacers Leg #3 (5) NANDOLO N has looked super in his 2022 return and he's capable of overcoming any trip that comes his way. He figures to give up a tactical edge to rival Jack's Legend N but I think he's good enough to reach for his third straight score. (3) JACK'S LEGEND N got lost at the back in round one but showed what he's capable of last week; big threat to repeat. (1) ELVER HANOVER disappointed last week after a solid getaway to set up a pocket trip but he was done at three-quarters. He likely saves ground tonight looking to finish up strong. Dowse trainee lands the rail with this open draw and Bartlett will take full advantage. (2) MOVIN' ON UP was stuck with the seven hole last week upon arrival from Dover and watched from the back as the leader cut a :58 4/5 half. Major post relief gets him more involved. (4) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE surged late and almost got there last start; Todd McCarthy drives again and he may be looking at a similar trip. Race 11: $50,000 Claiming Pace (5) ROBBIE BURNS N has been knocking on the door for some time now and he draws midpack in this wide-open claiming event; looks like a good spot to show some early speed. I think (1) LACHIE MAGUIRE N would be better suited a level or two down but he did pick up the pieces to be second best last out. (6) WESTERN HILL just missed last start but he hasn't had the best getaways in his last couple and now he moves outside. Race 12: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (1) STANFORD COURT went a long trip in his local debut but surprisingly he kept chugging and was moving well coming to the wire. Talented Ohio-bred should be controlling the action tonight. (3) STARK HANOVER did nothing in five starts for Forte but he was reclaimed by Cory Stratton; watch out! (5) TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY was a winner up at Saratoga in his seasonal debut and he's beaten better than these in the past. [DRF HARNESS: Follow me on Twitter! @drfharnessmatt]
