2026 MEET STATS: 82 - 230 / $451.69 (-$8.31) BEST BETS: 15 - 23 / $47.78 (+$1.78) BEST BET: MOSSDALE BEN N (6th) SPOT PLAY: JOEMIKIYOURSOFINE (9th) Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace (4) HAMMERING HANK finally lands a reasonable post after a string of bad draws where he certainly didn't race poorly and I expect Holland to take advantage of the situation and get aggressive. (3) LUCAPELO A debuts for new connections off last week's claim and goes for three straight at this level. (8) BE DAZZLED LOU A has been an awesome claim for the Bongiorno barn and he was the favorite last week in $50K claimers despite being taken for $20K. Drops a notch and needs a strong start for his best chance. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $50,000 Claiming Pace (7) ALL ALONE gets a new driver as Bartlett picks up the assignment; obviously the post is a major concern but he's raced well to hit the board in his last two and we'll see if he can get more involved in the early going. (2) GDS THUNDER GB was hung to dry last week and that was his fourth consecutive off-the-board finish but the connections keep him at the same claiming level; good draw and he may be the one to catch. (1) SHIPMASTER arrives from Delaware and joins the Alexander barn; hard to gauge where this 4YO will fit. Race 3: NW8251 in last 5 starts Pace (7) MANFERNO has completely turned things around since returning to Yonkers and he gets to stay at the same level as last week's win; I'm sticking with the veteran again despite the outermost post. (2) THE IDEAL DANCER A finished fast last start to make it close and he drops with a better post; major player.  (4) SOUTHWIND PETYR debuts for new connections off the claim and if he maintains his current form he'll be a threat. Race 4: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #3 (5) CHASE H HANOVER put in a rugged effort last week when parked the mile and didn't tire that badly; if the veteran can make the front or tuck in second or third it sets him up nicely to convert at a price. (1) REDWOOD HANOVER could not make it home at odds-on after rating kindly in leg two but that was one of the best pacers in the world who picked him off; moves back to the rail where he cruised in the opening round. (4) CELTIC SPIRIT N has a fifth and a third so far since arriving from Northfield; still looking to prove he belongs with these. Race 5: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #3 (3) SOHO FIRESTONE A dug in when it counted last week to prevail and he's perfect through two legs of the Borgata; he understandably loses Bartlett to #2 so Gingras picks up the drive and will almost definitely offer the better price of the top contenders. (2) COACHES CORNER missed the second round of the series after not being in a winning spot in leg one; Engblom millionaire adds Lasix for his second start of the season, has a post edge on his main rivals and has some catching up to do in the points department. (4) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N paced a big third quarter when uncovered last week and was outfinished; he's a bonafide closer who can get there if allowed to make one late rush. Race 6: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #3 (3) MOSSDALE BEN N has a major post edge on what can be considered his two main rivals in here and with this prior champ's newfound versatility he should have the tactical edge. (6) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR looks to stay perfect through the series and he's got the proven speed to improve position in the early stages. (7) CAPTAIN ALBANO kicked it into midseason form with last week's win but he may be away last in here and left with too much to do. Race 7: $30,000 Claiming Pace (5) LYRICAL GENIUS A took a couple of shots up in class off the Adamczyk claim but now he drops back to the level he's most effective at; midpack post gives new driver Gingras a legit chance to make the front. (1) OVERTHINKING was a winner for these connections two back and has an obvious chance from the rail. (7) TRENDY TEEN recently stepped up to this level and was a well-rated winner; goes for three straight overall but moving outside means he'll have to work harder. Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace Can we expect (4) ROCKET CITY A to launch in his second start for Lachance after arriving from Australia? This definitely feels like a winning spot against a field with so-so form. (5) DIEGO N returns locally after a couple of wasted efforts at Pocono and it wasn't that long ago thay he beat optional $75K claimers. (3) ODDS ON CAPITALISM has raced well in his last three at Saratoga and returns to Yonkers in the Engblom barn, and picks up Bartlett. Probably overbet as a result. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) JOEMIKIYOURSOFINE finished third in his last two races from outside posts and generally has raced very well this season. Kelly returns to the bike and he's primed for a live stalking trip. (4) TYPHOON BANNER N has sharp early speed which always works in his favor; steps up a notch after winning three of four. (5) ROCKSTAR ARTIST A could have more to offer making his third start after arriving from Down Under. Race 10: $15,000 Claiming Pace (5) SHINE A LIGHT has won an impressive five in a row and has been great for multiple barns; veteran stays at the $15K claiming level in return to Lance Hudson and Bartlett drives again. (2) LONG SHOT BUCKETS has a win and a second in his last two as a longshot; should be right there again for a share. (1) HEAVE AWAY is also a logical one to be sitting up close behind the favorite.
