Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(6) MACH DORO A was a decent second in his first try off the bench and he was claimed out of that race by the sharp Engblom barn. Step up in class likely won't be a problem as he's proven with this type (and better). (4) OURRHYTHMNBLUES N gave a good accounting of himself in his debut with claimers and he figures to be rolling to the front again. (3) SHERIFF N also steps up a notch coming off a race where he was able to kick in enough for the heater.

Race 2: Open Handicap Pace
(5) PYRO has now taken four straight as he's worked his way up the ladder to the watered-down Open level. Previously mentioned streaky vet lands outside in this abbreviated field but I'm staying on board again. (1) MOONSHINE KISSES was a nice pocket-sitting winner last week and he does his best work from just off the pace. Does Brennan have him on the front end from this spot, however? (3) ROCKNROLL RUNA A missed a neck in his local debut and finds a similar spot tonight.

Race 3: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2
(4) NONE BETTOR A was a bit short from the pocket last week but I won't hold that against him as it was his first start of the season and the top ones came from off the pace. Kakaley can have a quick lead tonight and then have options depending on how close (6) LOCHINVAR ART A is. The latter is now a perfect 4-for-4 for Team Tritton but two of those wins were after walking to the half. Can that happen tonight? (3) BEE TWO BEE gets needed post relief which gives the Burke trainee a legit chance at posting a mild upset.
Race 4: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(4) THRASHER had no chance from the eight hole last week but did finish well; start prior he scored off live cover at a big price and Dube may be able to work out a similar trip here. Garcia-Herrera trainee has proven that he belongs with this type. (3) BALLARAT BOOMERANG was a game runner-up in his first off the DiDomenico claim and Brennan figures to be heading to the front. (2) CAPTIVATE HANOVER was knocking on the door and picked up the win last week, now he faces better on the bump up in claiming price. Chance for a board spot with a good trip.
Race 5: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2 - $10K Gtd. Pick 5 Pool
(4) JIMMY FREIGHT certainly raced well enough to win in round one but came up a touch shy. Millionaire can get it done tonight, but won't offer a ton of value. (3) AMERICAN DEALER N finished with pace at a big price last week after saving ground and he figures to be more involved from the improved post. (1) SEMI TOUGH can be a bit inconsistent at times but he's much better than he showed last week. Burke trainee lands the rail looking for improvement, which can happen if not used too hard early.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SOUTHWIND SANDOR dropped a notch in class for his last race and responded with a solid effort for second. Stratton drives again with some tactical options from this post. (2) PEACE OUT POSSE went off the favorite last start despite moving up and moving outside and he was never a serious player. Expect the Bongiorno trainee to be much more involved from this spot. (6) COPPER TEEN makes his first start in over three months but he did qualify twice and showed good progression. Connections can never be counted out.
Race 7: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2
In case you forgot, (3) LEONIDAS A reminded you that he is in fact a legit Borgata player again and he rewarded his faithful with a $23 mutuel. With a post edge on many of the main contenders he's more than capable of wheeling back for another win. (5) IDEALSOMEMAGIC A may be the world's most improved horse with his 6 for 8 record this year, starting in the basement and culminating with last week's Borgata win. Cory Stratton trainee has also shown versatility and must be used here under all circumstances. (6) HELLABALOU shows a ton of "1's" in his lines and he didn't disappoint last week by going wire to wire. Move outside figures to make things a bit more difficult.
Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) BRACKLEY BEACH drops out of claimers back to this NW7500 level, where he just missed three back. Overall the veteran has been in good shape and gets the call departing from the rail. (4) TIGER BARON has been overdue for a long time and did get closer to a win last week; Brennan picks up the drive with Bongiorno listed on his sister's horse (#8). (2) BLUEBIRD RECON also drops looking to awaken; Bartlett is back driving with Boyd on #1 and he will be close to the pace throughout.
Race 9: MGM Borgata Pacing Series Leg #2
(7) THIS IS THE PLAN lands outside again but faces a seemingly softer Borgata split than he saw last week. We know this classy veteran who is closing in on $3 million can blast from the gate. (5) TATTOO ARTIST went from first to worst as the heavy favorite in his seasonal debut; there's nowhere to go but up as the Ryder trainee looks for improvement. (3) PRICELESS BEACH was a solid second last week and is a logical contender here with Dave Miller driving again.
Race 10: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) CERTIFIABLE hasn't been able to win in his last three but he's been legitimately good in those races, and there's no shame in getting nipped by Moonshine Kisses like he did last week. Gelding figures to be the controlling speed again tonight. (4) SPEED MAN N steps up off a loss but the price goes way up now on this legit top-level pacer; he may be coming off the pace here with #1 and #3 to his inside. (3) OZONE BLUE CHIP is back in for a tag after tiring in last week's Open. A pocket ride is the likely trip again.

Race 11: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN is still winless on the year but has hit the ticket in 6 of 7 races; he goes for new connections now off the claim and returns to Bartlett. (2) ROLLING WITH SAM finally put it all together last start but has missed a couple of weeks since then; we'll see if the Alexander trainee can take another. (3) CAVIART SARGENT bumps up again looking for three straight.
Race 12: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(1) GOTHIC ROCK was surprisingly live two back when McCarthy hopped aboard then he tired on the rim last week chasing the well-rated pace. Talented driver hangs around for the catch drive in the finale and figures to be overlooked in the wagering. (8) SHARK PLAY cruised in his first start off the Per Engblom claim and Bartlett figures to be blasting from the eight hole. (5) ROBBIE BURNS N has been pretty good for this barn and he steps up again here but could be sharp enough to land a nice share.
