2026 MEET STATS: 30 - 100 / $149.26 (-$50.74) BEST BETS: 6 - 10 / $17.42 (-$2.58) BEST BET: PINNY TIGER A (8th) SPOT PLAY: IMTHEBLACKFLASH N (9th) Race 1: $30,000 Claiming Pace (5) WALKINSHAW N is still a highly productive 14YO who was recently reclaimed by prior connections, and before last week's cancellation Bartlett had stuck with him despite other good options, and he drives again tonight. (3) SOUTHWIND PETYR is back on the inner half of the gate and won from a similar spot two back. (1) ITALIAN LAD N is a speed presence from the rail. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) PRIMARY COLORS makes what I believe to be his half-mile debut in his 126th start and he's been a solid player since arriving from Ohio for the Engblom barn. Since the connections seem to feel he'll be okay on the smaller oval then I'll commit to him as the likely chalk. (7) LITTLE WILLY shipped down to Yonkers for his last start and was claimed for $30K. He'll be a price for new connections and we'll see if he gets involved. (2) THE BIGBOSS A drops a notch in class and draws an improved post. Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace I was giving (3) SINBAD N one more try last week so I'll stick with him hoping he shows more in his third start since arriving back at Yonkers. He drops a class but has to contend with the rail starting (1) THE GREEK FREAK, who has been facing much better recently and is a deserving favorite. (2) AMMO changed tactics last start and rallied from off the pace for Burke; looks to repeat facing better. Race 4: 3-YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (5) LYONS BENJAMIN was hammered down last start and delivered on the front end; chance to repeat from a similar spot. (3) WHY TOMORROW RAY has raced well in most starts since the Laterza claim but has failed to secure a win. He won't be far off the front. (4) PERFECT PROMISES make an uncharacteristic break last out but was a winner two back in his debut for the DiDomenico barn. He'll benefit from a fast pace. Race 5: NW12501 in last 5 starts Pace (5) ALL ALONE hasn't raced since last November but he was a well-rated winner in his qualifier for a new barn and maybe he's ready to steal one against a camera-shy field. Gelding has been competitive with better than these in the past. (1) JABBAR has raced very well in his last three and should be a major player from this inside post. (2) OPTICAL ILLUSION N is also returning from some time on the shelf and is likely ready to compete off that recent qualifier. Race 6: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) HIMSELF N steps up in class off a loss but this doesn't seem to be the strongest field of NW20000 types; Bartlett is back driving and he won with the veteran two back. (2) WHATS STANLEY GOT A gave way badly on the front end last out but he's likely to be in a stalking spot tonight which can help him turn things around. (1) MAC'S MARVEL just missed when dropped back to this level and he's another who will be stalking and looking to fly late. Race 7: NW32276 in last 5 starts Pace (1) VICIOUS was claimed for $75K out of his last start and does have a winning history here. Maybe new barn/new driver/rail draw can shake him up a bit. (5) ALL CLASS folded on the front end last out but Bartlett sticks with the Engblom trainee and he deserves to be considered. (8) DIEGO N has been a speed and winning machine and despite winning out of the eight hole at this level Bartlett opts off for #5; Gingras drives. Race 8: Invitational Pace (2) PINNY TIGER A was second in his North American debut but since then he's been a killer with seven wins and one loss by a scant head. Import faces a solid field but draws well in this non-handicapped event and is the one to beat. (5) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH has been rock-solid in beating lesser in his last two as he inches towards a million earned lifetime and he seems sharp enough to compete here. (6) MOSSDALE BEN N is a certified closer and he'll benefit most if there's a fast pace up front. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) IMTHEBLACKFLASH N is one of multiple Down Under invaders for these connections that have made a big impact over the last year or so. This gelding returns from a forgettable race at The Meadowlands but was second and a close fourth in his last two local tries. (2) AARDIES FLASH N steps up looking to win again and is clearly the one to catch for the top trainer/driver. (8) MATAI PHIL N has absolutely exploded home in his last two but he's stuck all the way outside again; he figures to be motoring late. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (4) WINDSUN RICKY took advantage of a drop to the bottom level to pick up a win and he's got plenty of back class to step back up and repeat; Holland returns.(3) SAMHARA N finished with pace last start after finishing third in his prior two; Hudson trainee drops back down a notch and can stay close. (2) BOILING OAR exits claimers into this seemingly softer conditioned field but he is just 2 for his last 35 at Yonkers and will be a short price.
