2025 MEET STATS: 54 - 179 / $342.70 (-$15.30) BEST BETS: 8 - 17 / $24.40 (-$9.60) BEST BET: TWO FACED (1st) SPOT PLAY: COLD CREEK FELIPE (10th) Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace (1) TWO FACED was second best to a sharp winner in a fast time last week, his first start for Bako off the claim. Landing the rail here he's tough to look past in the opener. (4) TUFFENUFTOWEARPINK tired in his last two but he draws a slightly better post, one where Holland may leave the gate looking for the trip behind the favorite. (5) IDRAINTHESWAMP A had been racing well in $50K claimers prior to his last start where he never got close in a fast mile. DiDomenico trainee drops to the $40's looking to show more. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $50,000 Claiming Pace (7) BB LUCKY BOY has really turned things around since returning to Yonkers and he's now ambitiously placed in a $50K claimer looking to keep it rolling. A repeat of those last two races will be more than enough to handle these. (2) PEACE OUT POSSE debuts for the Stratton barn off last week's claim and he figures to be sitting just off the pace where he seems to do his best running. (5) QUALITY BUD is clearly feeling good again and Bartlett picks up the drive tonight as he drops back in for a tag. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: $30,000 Claiming Pace (5) REAL PEACE is back to a regular racing routine after just four starts in all of 2024 and the Engblom trainee looks to be steadily rounding into top form. Should be a fair price from this midpack post. (1) TWIG hasn't shown it in a while but he does have early speed and a good post to utilize it. Camera-shy type has just three wins over the last two seasons but a baker's dozen of second-place finishes. (3) FLIP MY CHIP tried new tactics last start and rallied to win from off the pace. Interesting to see what Holland does tonight because I'm sure it will look really tempting to head to the front from this spot. Race 4: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) HAZEVILLE added Lasix last week but it didn't matter as he was in a different zip code throughout from the eight hole in a 1:51 mile. Tonight he drops in class and moves all the way in to the rail. (4) HUNTING ZONE returns to Yonkers for the Cullipher barn and was a winner here the last time Bartlett drove. (7) MAC'S MARVEL is razor-sharp but probably has too far to come tonight; maybe he can rally for a piece, however. Race 5: NW15001 in last 5 starts Pace (1) LYRICAL GENIUS A stepped up in class last week and sailed down the road from the rail. Stratton trainee does face significantly better but draws best again and maybe lightning can strike twice (actually three times). (5) SOHO DOW JONES A has raced well in two U.S. starts but as also burned money as he finished second both times. Dilloian import has Bartlett again and will be a player. (4) ROCKNROLL RUNA A is still looking to get underway this year after his magical 2024 season. Stalbaum trainee has the catch driving Matt Athearn in the bike again. Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) COVERED BRIDGE had a tough go of it in his last two from post seven but the move inside should be enough to get this classy veteran back in the winner's circle. (4) WATTSUP SUNSHINE A also gets much-needed post relief and also drops back down a notch in class. (1) GINGRAS BEACH has Gingras in the bike again and could hang on for a share. Race 7: Invitational Pace It only took four starts for the import (2) MOSSDALE BEN N to make it to the top class, and he gets to draw for an inside post. Trainer Peter Tritton may have another really good one on his hands. (7) TYPHOON BANNER N makes the second start of his 2025 campaign and I wonder if we're going to see more early speed from this guy as he tunes up for stakes action. (6) NANDOLO N is firing on all cylinders as he's a neck shy of five wins in a row. He's never been known for blazing early speed however so this post may make things tough. Race 8: 3-6YO Open Pace (2) VERDUN figured to take all the money last start and he failed to come through with the win. Lachance trainee will offer more value tonight as he faces what collectively feels like an easier field with a couple of rivals making their first starts of the season. (4) AARDIES FLASH N was the Invite winner two back then had too far to come next out. He's one of the main players here. (1) BINGE ON YANKEE was able to drop in class last week and rolled down the road in 1:51 1/5. Gillis trainee lands the rail looking to repeat. Race 9: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) RHYDS SUPERFLY GB breezed through the NW conditioned ranks with five straight wins where nobody came close; he's technically up in class here though racing for the same money, but doesn't catch the strongest field. Wins again as heavy chalk. (1) PATRONUS STAR N is an interesting shipper for the Cullipher barn and we'll see how he fits here. (4) WINDSUN RICKY dropped and popped (thru a DH) last week; draws another reasonable post and can land a piece [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) COLD CREEK FELIPE scored first time off the claim and while he steps up again in class he meets a field where nobody has won over their last two starts. Maybe Marohn can take these the distance. (5) TWIGGS PUB just missed last out and hails from top connections. (2) HIGH ON ROCKNROLL faltered on the front end last start but overall he's been decent recently and he draws well again. Race 11: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) DUNKIN' has three seconds in as many starts this year but it's only a matter of time before he breaks through with a win; new driver tonight with Brennan and he can go on or off the pace (assuming he minds his manners). (4) ALWAYS A THRILL blew away the field last week and now gets more of a class test looking for four straight. (2) WHATS STANLEY GOT A has tailed off recently but there's proven talent here; Stratton is back driving for his brother.
