Yonkers: Analysis for Monday 2/14

MEET STATS: 23 - 101 / $124.50 (-$77.50)
BEST BETS: 3 - 9 / $9.60 (-$8.40)
Best Bet: ROBBIE BURNS N (1st)
Spot Play: CASUAL COOL (4th)
Race 1: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(1) ROBBIE BURNS N was a live player recently up at the $75K claiming level but he now drops in price for the fourth consecutive start trying to find the winning spot; Dowse trainee will be looking to take this field down the road. (4) SOHO WALLSTREET A is back in for a tag after three solid efforts facing conditioned types; recent move to the Quevedo barn has really woken this veteran up. (5) IT'SGOODTOBEDAKING is back at the level where he does his best work.

Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(1) ROCK N TONY went off at big prices in his last two but that was mainly due to his poor posts against rivals such as the streaking Magritte. Ruiz trainee moves all the way inside now with a legit shot to take this. (2) GINGER TREE PETE has been sharp for an extended period of time now and he debuts for Bako off the claim while drawing well; obvious contender. (4) CINNAMACK has yet to win at this level but has come away with a nice check practically every start; good one to use underneath.

Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) HERRICKROOSEVELT N isn't the most consistent pacer out there but he's raced well the last two times that Zeron drove and the veteran import can trip out from this spot. (3) TELL THEM LOU recently graduated from the age-restricted conditions but he never got involved last week from the outside post. Laterza trainee should be a live player here with the move inside. (6) ALWAYS AND AGAIN seemed to be in a bit too tough in his last few at The Meadowlands and he may appreciate the venue change.
Race 4: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) CASUAL COOL had good pace at both ends of his mile in his local return and he faces similar here from a good post. (1) IM SIR BLAKE A is up in class off a sharp win and the combo of Erv and Marcus Miller has been red-hot of late. (4) SONNY WEAVER N rallied for about a sixteenth of a mile last week then flattened; Cullipher trainee does move in a few slots.
Race 5: $75,000 Claiming Pace
(2) LYONS KING drops from the top claiming level and is now priced at $75K for Jenn Bongiorno and brother Joe is back driving. He should have more to offer making his third seasonal start. (3) I'M SOME GRADUATE tripped out to win two back and finished with a steady rally last start; Burke-trained veteran can be a part of this from an improved post. (7) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE is a great fit with this type but may have trouble getting involved from the outside post; use underneath.
Race 6: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(4) SWEET N FAST N was a bit disappointing last start when he was no match at all for the winning Elwell; Bako trainee drops in class tonight and tries Brennan. I'll give him another chance. (5) MAGRITTE is on a ridiculous winning streak and he'll look to tack on another now coming out of the Bongiorno barn. He's bound to lose eventually, no? (1) MARK WITHA K was solid in defeat last week.
Race 7: $100,000 Claiming Pace
(2) SAN DOMINO A gave it a shot in the Open off the Burke claim but could not make an impact from the outside post despite trying to leave. He's back in for tag and moves back inside. One of many possibilities here in this competitive event. (1) ALEX TYE has been good to me (and his connections) recently and he goes for his fourth win already this year, but he loses his regular driver (Stratton isn't programmed tonight). (4) JOESSTAR OF MIA A keeps Bartlett for Dowse and we'll see how aggressive he is off the gate with the speed inside of him.
Race 8: Open Handicap Pace
(8) LEONIDAS A made me feel foolish last week when I opted off him from post eight and he cruised once again once driving on to the front. I think the same tactics will work again and give him his fourth straight win. (3) PYRO is inconsistent but he can go with these at his best and he'll be a nice price. (4) SAVE ME A DANCE ended up in a three hole last week and didn't threaten from there; he seems capable of stepping it back up a notch.
Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) ROCK CANDY was second best to the streaking Red Right Hand last start and a similar effort can get it done here. (6) OUR CORELLI N has taken two straight since the Bongiorno claim and the step up in class shouldn't be a problem. (1) BETTING EXCHANGE is feeling good again and can land a share from the rail.
Race 10: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(3) SULLIVAN was a good second in his initial try for these connections and he meets nothing special bumping up a notch in class; Bartlett drives again. (2) AVATAR J usually races well from inside posts regardless of what class he's in; he can work out a nice trip. (5) FOX VALLEY INFERNO moves to another new barn but his last two have been disappointing; hard to take a short price on him.

Race 11: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) VELOCITY KOMODO has rallied well in all of his recent races and he lands his best post since moving to his current barn; he's certainly the most logical in here but he's no lock. (6) REGAL SON hasn't been worse than third over his last eight races and he goes for a second straight win tonight. (4) KINNDER JACKSON was a clear third last week with Dowse driving, could mimic that result with a smooth trip.
Race 12: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MAYHEM HANOVER ships from The Meadowlands for Cullipher coming off an aggressive front-end try and solid effort the start prior. It's been a long time since he's been on a half mile track but if that doesn't present a problem he'll cruise here. (2) RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN N was a winner at this level two back, then was stuck in the seven hole. Move back inside makes him a legit threat. (1) FLYING FINN N hasn't done much for these connections in three starts off the $50K claim but he does drop and drew best.
