Race 1: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace

(2) JB GRAM has been a dominating figure at this age-conditioned claiming level and the connections stick him back where he can win. (3) TWO FACED had the early speed last week to set up the pocket ride behind the top one but he’s also capable from coming from a bit further behind; Gingras drives again. (4) SIP OF BOURBON has hit the board in all five starts since arriving locally.

Race 2: NW10061 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) WINDSUN RICKY takes a needed drop in class and lands a better post; these are the types of scenarios where Holland likes to be aggressive and take charge. (5) JUST ENUFF STUFF was claimed a couple of months back for $40K so class-wise he should stack up nicely with these; though last week was dull prior efforts were encouraging. (7) TRANSPARENCY battled gamely last out and was second best; move to an outside post may limit his chances but he can still be considered at a price.

Race 3: MGM Grand Prix Invitational Pacing Series Leg #3

(3) ITS A ME MARIO returns to this series on the strength of back-to-back wins with Lauren Tritton driving and she’s in the bike again; gelding will never be too far back in this abbreviated field. (1) TYPHOON BANNER N just missed two back in round-two action after cutting the mile and he’ll likely be on the front again. (4) BLUE HUNT burned money his last two, will be a price tonight.

Race 4: MGM Grand Prix Invitational Pacing Series Leg #3

(3) ADAM TWELVE was used hard battling last out and can be excused for tiring. Practically all prior starts he’s been right there (with four wins as well) and the Engblom trainee looms large here. (2) SEVEN COLORS has raced well in all recent stakes engagements but doesn’t have a win to show for it and he’ll be a short price here. (6) CHASE H HANOVER lands the outermost post but he’s got proven early speed so it may not matter.

Race 5: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(6) LEONIDAS A seems to have lost the winning vibe as he’s just 2 for 25 this year but most of his efforts from this former stakes champ have been legit. Class drop hopefully gets him over the top. (2) CYRUS N was a good second two back at 51/1 then won as the favorite last week at 6/5. Bartlett drives again stepping back up a notch and he’s a player here. (4) BURNHAM BOY N has raced evenly in his two starts after the layoff and maybe it’s time to get more aggressive.

Race 6: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(7) MUSIC HALL hits town from the Meadowlands on the strength of two straight dominating wins; what he may lack in class he makes up for in form. (1) MIND HUNTER was collared last start in $50’s and now drops to the $40K level, has also missed some time; I’ll use caution at 8/5 ML. (3) CENTURY ENDEAVOR has a win and a close second in his last couple for Stratton and Stratton.

Race 7: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) HUMBLE A could not have looked more impressive since arriving from Down-Under and he’s done it in a variety of ways throughout the six straight wins; in theory he gets to drop in class under the AE condition and has 1/9 written all over him. (5) BINGE ON YANKEE followed the top one to be second best again last start; Stratton is back in the bike. (6) SEMI TOUGH was treated rudely when parked in last; class-wise he rules these.

Race 8: MGM Grand Prix Invitational Pacing Series Leg #3

(5) COACHES CORNER is close to wrapping up just a magnificent 4-year-old season as he inches towards $600K in 2024; Engblom trainee can do it from on or off the pace. (2) ROCKNROLL RUNA A has been all over the place this year as a fringe stakes player and he lands the best post he’s seen in some time. (1) VERDUN missed a couple of weeks with a sick scratch then finished willingly last out in a good tightening effort. He’s been super for the Lachance barn.

Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) ROCKIN JUKEBOX has a win and second in his last two, both races finishing in :27 and change; Gingras picks up the drive tonight on the Bongiorno trainee and can take advantage of the good draw. Speaking of good draws, (1) THE IDEAL DANCER A lands the rail as he bumps in class again going for three straight wins. (6) BACKSTREET SHADOW is one of the most accomplished ones in here but he failed to make a serious impact last week when finishing third. Would be no surprise to see him take this, however.

Race 10: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(3) THE BIRD DANCE N drops a level in price, gets needed post relief and switches to Kakaley. That trifecta of positives may be enough to get him over the top. (6) LYRICAL GENIUS has raced well in all recent versus similar and usually offers value. (2) AROUND MIDNIGHT was stuck outside his last two and failed to get involved; prior races before that he had been a major player.

Race 11: $30,000 Claiming Pace

(2) MAXIMUS RED drops from $40’s to $30’s despite winning for the higher tag just two starts back. Veteran is clearly the one to beat but gets just a timid call from me in the finale. (1) MEMPHISTENNESSEE N has done nothing wrong in his last couple with a win and a second; major player from the rail. (6) IM A POWERPLAY A closed from nowhere to be a third last start with Napolitano driving and he’s in the bike again.
