MEET STATS: 208 - 656 / $1,268.00 (-$44.00)
BEST BETS: 38 - 68 / $134.20 (-$1.80)
SPOT PLAYS: 12 - 68 / $89.10 (-$46.90)
BEST BET - SO MANY ROADS (6th)
SPOT PLAY - MATT MAJOR (1st)
Race 1 - 12500CLM Pace
(5) MATT MAJOR shows a goose egg in the win column for the year in the last month of 2020 but races for a driver/trainer tandem I have a lot of respect for and did recently score back-to-back runner-up efforts. (3) TWIN B IMPRESSIVE woke up with an improved performance last Monday and gets another inside post to start from to perhaps work out a similar trip. (1) GIAS BOY ships down from Plainridge after two straight second-place finishes, with the last one coming against similar types to these.

Race 2 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot
(6) LIVING PROOF I AM remains at the bottom level here and meets up with what looks to be a more wide-open group after running into well-meant foes in Zooming and Muscle Ave in his last two tries. (1) MASSIVE OPULENCE topped the NW3000L5 class two back at Pocono, which is the corresponding class to this one over there. Jim Taggart Jr. has driven him several times lately and gets another shot tonight with Brennan not here. (5) ALWAYS A GOOD TIME broke behind the gate when favored in a NW5000L5 contest, so he'll probably get some attention. Bartlett gets the call on the DiDomenico trainee.

Race 3 - NW2/25000LT Pace
(5) PLAY THERAPY is just one-for-28 lifetime but hooks up with a bunch here who also struggle to find the winner's circle and races for trainer Chris Height, who has been sending out some live horses. (1) ROLL WITH DOM failed a couple times when bet down in October, but qualified well on 11-27, and any repeat of that mile might be good enough here. (2) BOLT OF LUCK has post two for the third straight time and did manage to hit the board on the 16th of November.
Race 4 - NW5000L5 Pace
(3) DREAM OF LUCK will be another Height trainee I'll use tonight. He finally gets an inside post this time and did gain positions in the final quarter in this class three back. (8) CAPTAIN CASH was a good second a week ago when Horsing Around went a big mile to hold him off. Mark MacDonald calls the shots tonight from the outside draw. (6) KEY ADVISOR finished third in a NW7500L5 race when last at Yonkers on November 20 and had no chance last time out from post eight at Freehold.
Race 5 - NW4/50000LT Pace
(7) CAPTIVATE HANOVER made the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Series final back in October, then broke stride after being bet down in his debut for Hudson locally. I expect some tinkering has been done, and the qualifier at Monticello appears useful enough to have him ready. (3) FLYING FINN N just missed by a nostril in his first start for Devita on 11-23 and looks like the probable favorite since he already owns a win at the level. (2) SUMTHINBOUTIM turned his form around majorly last time out at Harrah's Philadelphia, closing in 27 seconds for a win. He returns north tonight and picks up Joe Bongiorno's driving services.
Race 6 - NW6/75000LT Pace
(3) SO MANY ROADS ended up second last Monday after hitting the lead from first-up in the lane. That was another quality performance, and I'll put him on top. (6) SPORTS OBSESSION finished third in a NW6 race here back on the 16th of November and closed well in his most recent mile at the Meadowlands. (4) CALIBER roared home at The Big M to win in their NW4 class in his second start for trainer Williams Hernandez. Kakaley drove this horse on occasion when he was in the Ron Burke barn, and he has shown more early speed in the past.
Race 7 - NW5000L5 Pace
(4) LISBURN scored in his second start for trainer Chris Temming down at Harrah's Philadelphia. Temming hands the lines over to Brent Holland after driving him himself in that victory, and this horse has raced at Yonkers before. (2) RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN N lands at the bottom level tonight after a third-place finish against NW7500L5's on 11-27 and is probably the one to beat. (3) KJ LEO came in fourth in the same contest that Runrunjimmydunn N exits and is another one working his way down the class ladder.

Race 8 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace
(2) CAVIART SKYLER didn't miss the board in four attempts against NW7500L5's back in October, including a victory in his last attempt at the level on 10-30. (5) PACING MAJOR N has both class and post relief going for him tonight and showed the ability to finish third against NW20000L5's on the 17th of October. (3) THREE WAYS N scored in impressive fashion over NW5000L5's on 11-23. He had Pat Lachance to pilot him that time and switches back to owner Jeff Dauplaise on this occasion.
Race 9 - NW8/100000LT / NW6/75000LT Drawn Inside Pace
(1) LEVINE prevailed from the pole position last time he had it on 11-9 and was a good third in subsequent efforts from the six-hole. (7) DOJEA GIZMO jogged over NW8's last Monday as Burke shipped him in from Indiana. Dube gets a chance with him tonight with Brennan absent. (5) CAN B PERFECT owns two straight victories for the Holland/Stafford duo and looks usable again here.
Race 10 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Pace
(2) BANK SEA invades from the Meadowlands in sharp form for trainer Juan Cano. Bank Sea owns prior victories at Yonkers, and is one of just two horses Todd McCarthy is driving on the card, perhaps signaling confidence in his chances. (4) BETTOR THAN SPRING drops down a notch and moves in from the eight-hole to post four tonight. He was also Brent Holland's choice. (6) BLATANTLY BEST was rejected by Holland but picks up Bartlett instead and did make up ground in the final quarter on 11-28.
