(4) REGAL SON was a well-meant winner in both of his 2022 starts for the hot Dowse barn and while he meets some legit talent here he's sharp enough to grab another. (3) TONY TOO TALL was in a tough spot last week, rallied a bit then flattened; he drops and moves inside. (2) MAGRITTE is up in class for his new barn off the $30K claim and he's going for six straight overall.

Race 2: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) KASEY JOHN A raced very well three and four back then got stuck with tough outside posts in his two 2022 efforts; veteran gets key post relief tonight which should give him a legit chance. (4) FOX VALLEY INFERNO was a lame scratch to end last season but has come back with two second-place finishes; player. (5) BEVANS CULLEN N was a good second last week to the strong front-running winner and he was claimed back by Cory Stratton.

Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) GLENGARRY KNIGHT N was a total non-factor in his last three but that was from outside posts facing tougher competition; drop in class and move all the way inside makes the Chris Height trainee a major player. (3) HERRICKROOSEVELT N reverted to bad habits last start when he broke in the first turn; he's a contender with this type if he minds his manners. (5) RED RIGHT HAND won his way out of the age-restricted ranks and the Takter trainee now meets more seasoned foes; he's clearly talented enough to win this but doesn't seem worth the likely short price.
Race 4: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(5) KINNDER JACKSON has been racing well for an extended period of time as a perfect fit at this $50K claiming level; he now debuts for Dowse off the claim, retains Bartlett and is expected to he hustled from the gate. (3) VELOCITY KOMODO was much better in his second 2022 start, as were many of the other Ruiz trainees. (4) HEISMAN PLAYER charged home to just miss last week.
Race 5: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(3) WESTERN HILL was well-bet and well-meant last week and he delivered with a solid score; Stratton trainee can repeat here. (5) GINGER TREE PETE was aggressively handled from the eight hole first off the Alexander claim; gelding should be a live player again. (1) EDDARD HANOVER got going a bit too late last week but did rally for second.
Race 6: $75,000 Claiming Pace
(1) SWEET N FAST came ready to play last week despite being off over a month; he loses Kakaley to the streaking Elwell but he picks up Gingras while drawing best. (4) ELWELL steps up again after being unpressured last week taking his third straight. (3) FLYING FINN N had no chance from the eight hole last out; he also steps up after being taken by the Chris Height barn.
Race 7: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(6) THISJETSABOOKIN was a bit short making his seasonal debut after being off a month but he's back in on a regular weekly rotation and improvement can be expected. (1) IN SPADES also didn't fire his best shot last week but should be tighter this time around. (3) LETTUCERIPRITA A was clicking nicely for his prior barn (DiDomenico/Cad Gregory) and now he goes for Gillis off the claim but he does tend to be erratic sometimes.
Race 8: $100,000 Claiming Pace
(4) SAN DOMINO A was a solid two-move winner in his local return; Harris trainee can make the lead tonight and take these a long way. (1) SOHO LENNON A was a pocket-sitting winner from a similar spot three back and this ultra-classy veteran always performes well when drawn inside. (3) WALKINSHAW N gapped midpack unable to gain last week but prior to that he was an uncovered winner at this level; he should be close up throughout and can land a share.
Race 9: Open Pace
(1) LEONIDAS A qualified efficiently for his return to the races and he lands the rail in this open draw. He's got more than enough talent to beat these but I suspect he won't offer much value. (5) SEMI TOUGH made a nice brush into contention last week then sustained it well to beat a bit lesser; sharp form by this Burke trainee can carry over to the upper class. (4) FUNATTHEBEACH N successfully dropped and popped after being off some time and he's also back at the top level; logical contender here.

Race 10: NW31675 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) JOESSTAR OF MIA A drops out of the $100K claimers into this conditioned event after never getting involved last out from the eight hole; Dowse trainee figures to revert to speed tactics from this spot. (7) NO LOU ZING was pretty game for second last week making multiple moves; outside post may present a problem but should make his price halfway decent. (1) DIAMOND BEACH was a steady performer last out to be second best and he'll make his presence felt from the rail tonight.
Race 11: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) SHOREVIEW took a bit of a shuffle in his seasonal debut and had no real chance but he did pick up some pieces; he draws well again and figures to be on the lead or in the pocket picking up Brennan. (4) LATE MAIL N was noticeably short in his first start after missing time; Gillis trainee drops in class and in theory should be tighter now. (3) SWAGASAURUSREX picks up a check every week for low-profile connections and he was a winner last out versus a notch lower; he can add some value to the ticket.
