2025 MEET STATS: 391 - 1272 / $2,243.82 (-$300.18) BEST BETS: 65 - 123 / $209.96 (-$36.04) BEST BET: THENU CAMEALONG A (5th) SPOT PLAY: BLUE LOU (9th) Race 1: $15,000 Claiming Pace (4) WELL THAT'S MARKY had been dull since the claim by these connections but they dropped him to $15's and he cruised; right back at the winning level. (2) CHECKONWILLIAM GB went well for his new connections off the claim when placed first and he's the main threat. (7) IM A POWERPLAY A has been very consistent for multiple barns but has had problems with outside posts; using underneath. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) SOUTHWIND PETYR came close to coming through for me again last week so while he won't offer anywhere near that price I'll give him the chance to get it done. (4) WALKINSHAW N didn't respond up in class for his new connections so they drop him right back to a competitive level, and he's got Bartlett again. (5) JUST ENUFF STUFF was reclaimed again by the Forte barn and he's got two wins, a second and a third in his last four races for these connections. Race 3: $40,000 Claiming Pace (2) SPEAKER OF PEACE is by no means a lock as he looks for his second straight but that was a nice wakeup call last week and he's in a similar spot tonight. (4) ITALIAN LAD N closed well last out and now lands an improved post; I would expect him to be leaving the gate. (1) CUT N RUN N has just been going evenly for these connections but he's got the rail again and picks up Gingras. Race 4: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (6) HAMMERING HANK has been right at home at this level for Burke and that's where he stays; he was able to overcome a two-move effort last week so the post hopefully doesn't present a problem. (1) HARD TO CATCH returns to Yonkers now with the rail after being saddled with post eight in last local start; Bartlett is in the bike tonight making him a major threat. (2) WHY TOMORROW RAY fits here and is usually aggressively handled when drawn inside; Holland drives again. Race 5: NW20531 in last 5 starts Pace (2) THENU CAMEALONG A makes his second North American start for Blackler/Bartlett and he moves in a couple of slots on the gate. I suspect he'll be very live on the board and on the track. (6) IMA PERFECT CHOICE is a 3YO who returns from Hoosier after having limited success in minor stakes. Rejoins the Alexander barn, is reunited with Kakaley and note he was a winner in that last Yonkers start. (1) NANDOLO N exits the Grand Prix series into a more comfortable spot. Classy vet knows what he's doing. Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace Very evenly-matched field. (3) SIX DEGREES gave way under pressure last week when trying to wire the field but he's probably better suited for stalking from just in behind, which could very well be the case tonight. (1) HIMSELF N takes a needed drop in class and is the one to catch. (5) ROCK THE BELLES also drops down and was a winner when last at this level. Driver Kelly has a couple of options from this midpack post. Race 7: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) MULLINAX is back at Yonkers off a nice win recently at Philly and despite that score he's able to race at a level lower than he's accustomed to here. Gets Bartlett back and can head to the front. (1) RACING RAMPAGE is extremely obvious here as he lands his first inside post in a while and raced well for second last week facing better. (6) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE was a winner in his Yonkers return but faces a much tougher task tonight; use the veteran underneath. Race 8: NW35501 in last 5 starts Pace (4) JUMPINGJACKMAC N has been razor sharp and doesn't face the toughest of fields here on the class hike; Yannick sticks going for three straight. (5) LOU HILL acclimated pretty well with that aggressive try upon arrival; has missed a couple of weeks though. (3) MIKI SHAN N was scratched sick last week in the Grand Prix but is right back in and will certainly appreciate the class relief. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) BLUE LOU has been solid in two tries since joining the Alexander barn and though he faces better here from an outer post that should make his price honest. (5) VEGAS STRIP N wasn't ready to withstand pressure in his North American debut; perhaps he tries off the pace tonight. (3) SUGAR MAN is a 3YO with stakes experience who has done very well for these connections in overnights the last two at The Meadowlands; we'll see how that transfers to the smaller track. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (5) SANTANA HANOVER faces much softer than he's been accustomed to and picking up Bartlett the Bongiorno trainee should get it done. (4) YOROKIBI N rarely wins but often provides value underneath, like he's done in his last two races. (6) NIGHT HAWK is second time on the drop to this level and he lands in another unfortunate spot.
