MEET STATS: 391 - 1107 / $1,936.70 (-$277.30)

Best Bet: NONE BETTOR A (8th)
Spot Play: CAPTAIN SLEAZE (4th)
Race 1: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) SETH HANOVER left well and secured a nice pocket ride last week and was close at the wire; Devita trainee is a solid fit at this level and can take this if he gets on or near the lead without too much trouble. (5) ESCAPETOTHEBEACH came out of the same race as #6 but never got involved from the outside post. From this spot Bartlett will be moving forward early. (1) L DEES JACK LOPEZ beat this type last start and gets a free ride at this level with the NW9 races lifetime condition. Can he hold off the early speed in here to secure position?

Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(2) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN moves inside off a no-chance effort and he gets Bartlett back in the bike. We know the veteran will be close-up throughout and is worth a try if he's close to his 9/2 listed odds. (6) MACH DORO A woke up with last week's drop in class and he should be a part of this despite drawing outside. (4) LONG WEEKEND A drops a notch from 50's to 40's, draws a bit better and Buter did win with him three back against lesser.

Race 3: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE has dominated in two straight and while he's up in class he's sharp enough to take another; Bartlett drives again. (4) THE WILD CARD has been coming up a bit short in his last few but he's been in with tougher than he sees tonight; Burke trainee is a major player. (1) JUSTA LITTLE BIT A is the latest Down-Under invader and he has a solid record this year. I maybe would have liked to see him qualify again before entering the pari-mutuel wars. Watch the board.
Race 4: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) CAPTAIN SLEAZE may have something to prove facing more seasoned rivals but that was a nice win last start at Pocono and he draws well here while picking up the aggressive Holland. (1) LEVINE finally gets an inside post; we'll see if that's enough to get him over the hump. (6) ALTA BLUES A jogged in his last two; this is a much tougher spot but maybe he's sharp enough to get a piece.
Race 5: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) MIKEY CAMDEN has been competitive in his recent races at the $75K claiming level but he takes an important drop to the 50's tonight and he was a winner when last in this class. (1) PURPLE POET jogged in his local debut and he logically bumps up in class looking to take another. (5) CAVIART SARGENT bumped to this level last week and the four-year-old passed the test with a solid runner-up effort. With a good trip he can be there.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) ROCK CANDY raced evenly last week in a needed start after being on the bench for a couple of months. Bartlett sticks with him over the classy #4 and this gelding seems ready to step up his game. (4) SOHO LENNON A just missed from the pocket last out as he's working himself back into shape; Kakaley takes over the drive. (1) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK has been a bit inconsistent since returning but he does move all the way inside; Schnittker trainee clearly has the talent.
Race 7: $75,000 Claiming Pace
(2) BARBADOS did not fire in his return start but in his defense they walked to the half so closing was going to be tough. He draws an improved post here and figures to be a major player. (3) DON DOMINGO N goes back to the Devita barn off the claim and this classy veteran was a winner five back for this outfit. (1) WHITECOOKIE faltered at odds-on two back then was stuck outside last week. Burke trainee may be the controlling speed from the rail.

Race 8: Open Handicap Pace
(5) NONE BETTOR A makes his first start since his Aria Invitational triumph on International Trot day. Veteran always goes well but has really stepped it up after moving to the Alexander barn. He deserves top billing here. (1) OAKWOODNITTOWNIT IR takes an ambitious step up to the top level but he's been razor sharp and may be able to sit a live trip from his rail assignment. (6) COVERED BRIDGE came up just short to Leonidas A last start; clearly he fits here but the post is tough.
Race 9: $40,000 Claiming Pace
Tough race here, with barn changes on the main contenders. I'll stab with (6) TIN ROOF RAIDER A at 12/1 on the morning line. Erv Miller trainee gets a check every week with these and was a nice closing second last out. (2) GINGER TREE PETE has been going well recently for the Blumenfeld barn and was a winner two back from a similar spot. (5) CHANGE STRIDE N moves to the Bongiorno barn via claim and he's been right there in his last three; consistent veteran figures to maintain his form for these connections.
