Race 1:$30,000 Claiming Pace
(7) DESIRE'S CAPTAIN was better last start when dropped into $30K claimers and he may have found a home at this level; he needs some help from this outside post to get it done but the price should be solid. (6) IN SPADES went wire to wire easily off the Dowse claim and can repeat if ready off the down time. (3) THISJETSABOOKIN has been razor-sharp at this level for the Strattons.

Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(4) WESTERN HILL had no realistic chance from the eight hole last week; veteran will be more involved with the move inside. (8) ROBBIE BURNS N left well from the outside in his seasonal debut but was shuffled and tired. He drops in class again looking to bounce back. (5) MELODIES MAJOR was a solid second to the sharp Elwell last week.

Race 3: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(7) TONY TOO TALL rallied nicely from off the pace last out at The Big M and we've seen him fire from the outside in the past; hopefully he can improve position at the start to give him his best chance. (1) KINNDER JACKSON just missed from a similar spot twice in December. (3) WATERWAY was used in the early stages last week and wilted; off the pace tonight?
Race 4: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) NO LOU ZING basically toured the track last week from the eight hole in the paceless Open; expect much more involvement tonight. (5) SEMI TOUGH also failed to get involved coming out of the same race as the top one; threat. (1) PATRIKTHEPIRANHA A was a winner when last seen here.
Race 5: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(4) OZONE BLUE CHIP put in a good effort in defeat last week after being off over a month and now he moves to the Bako barn off the claim. (1) FOX VALLEY INFERNO was also good last start, finishing second to the streaking Magritte; looms large from the rail. (2) MARTY MONKHOUSER A makes his 13-year-old debut and it seems he's got something left in the tank.
Race 6: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(2) AMERICAN BOY N went down stubbornly after a hard uncovered bid last week and the classy veteran should be in line for a live trip from this spot. (5) ELWELL has been razor sharp, and he moves to a new barn (Alexander) and bumps up in class. He's always been a quality horse. (3) MIGHTY SANTANA N returns locally and is back in for a tag; he should be able to land a share.
Race 7: $75,000 Claiming Pace
(4) BLACK CHEVRON N has been a consistent presence for an extended period of time and he lands a decent enough post for his local return facing a wide-open group; one of many in here with a legit chance. (1) ALEX TYE parlayed a perfect trip into an upset win last out; speed from the inside makes him a major player. (5) WEONA SIZZLER A drops in price after a less-than-inspiring effort last week.
Race 8: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) DEAN B HANOVER has missed a month of action as others in here are back on a regular schedule but the Gillis trainee was successful transitioning to face more seasoned horses and he inherits the rail with the early scratch of #1. (3) DIAMONDBEACH was right there finishing third in the Open two back. (5) BRAEVIEW BONDI A gets some post relief and can be more involved.
Race 9: $100,000 Claiming Pace
(2) FOREVER FAV came up a little short in his seasonal debut but he draws well here and deserves another chance with Kakaley picking up the drive. (3) WHITECOOKIE passed a few last week from the eight hole and is logical with the post relief. (5) SAN DOMINO A returns locally after two solid efforts in defeat across the river.
Race 10: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BENHOPE RULZ N gets Bartlett back in the bike for his local return and I would expect him to be aggressively handled. (2) PATRIOT NATION picked off a few last week at a big price and now moves inside. (1) GRIFFON HANOVER just missed from a similar spot four back.

Race 11: $75,000 Claiming Pace
(1) WAR N MUNN hasn't done a whole lot wrong in his five starts at this level and he should be in line for a nice trip tonight. (4) SWEET N FAST N was claimed in October for $23K and has proven to be a player at this $75K level; only concern is the month off. (6) EPIC ACE kept up well last week; with a smooth trip he could hit the ticket at a big price.
Race 12: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(3) AMERICAN WIGGLE closed mildly last week in his 2022 debut for Burke and now he moves inside a few slots which promises to keep him much closer to the action. (2) REGAL SON took all the money last start and he delivered the goods; obvious threat to win again. (4) EDDARD HANOVER debuts for the Bako barn off the claim, could improve.
