2025 MEET STATS: 328 - 1079 / $1,801.48 (-$356.52) BEST BETS: 55 - 105 / $177.42 (-$32.58) BEST BET: WARRIOR FOR TRUTH (2nd) SPOT PLAY: TRENDY TEEN (7th) Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace (4) PYRO has proven to fit and be capable facing this type and always offers value. Tactical speed can set him up with a trip. (2) SLING SHOCK was in too tough last week and didn't fire as the chalk; back to the level of his two recent dominating wins and is a deserving favorite. (1) ULYSSES needs to step it up to be considered on the win end but he's got the rail and the leading driver. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) WARRIOR FOR TRUTH has been sharp for an extended period of time and for multiple barns. He's listed as 3/5 on the ML for a reason and will be tough to beat. (3) ALWAYSCUTTINSCHOOL had too far to come last week, most prior efforts at this level have been good. Is there an outside longshot in here looking to leave and maybe get a pocket trip? Maybe #5 or #6. (5) SURFSIDE BEACH has flashed early speed on occasion. Race 3: NW30051 in last 5 starts Pace (6) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR blasted from the 10 hole in the BC final and eventually tired in that 1:46 2/5 mile. He's back in with overnight foes for the first time in months and the outside post hopefully doesn't slow him down at all. (4) AMERICAN DEALER N has been a favorite of mine and at 3 for 26 kind of sums up how my year is going. That said he's got too much class to ignore. (2) ALWAYS A THRILL always finishes close when drawn inside. Race 4: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) FAMILY RECIPE makes his second start off the bench and though he hasn't been a prolific winner over the last couple of years he's got plenty of back class and faces a suspect field. Can he go wire to wire? (3) SAVE ME A DANCE just missed at this level two back and switches to Bartlett. (4) TWIN B DELUXE is just not sharp now, but he's far and away the most accomplished in here this year. Race 5: $30,000 Claiming Pace (1) DONTBOTHERMENONE N ships down from upstate NY for the Madden Oaks connections and maybe he'll appreciate a few weeks off and the change in scenery. Rail draw and leading driver doesn't hurt. (4) DEETZY is back in for a tag and he can still bring it as he winds down his 13YO season. Veteran could be first to the front. (5) MAXIMUS RED A has been first or second in his last six races. Race 6: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (2) BB LUCKY BOY ships back to Yonkers, where he's got two wins in five tries on the season. Capone trainee was razor-sharp last out at Vernon drawing off in 1:50 1/5. (1) JUST ENUFF STUFF was forced uncovered into an accelerated pace last week, his first off the Forte claim. He figures to be on the lead or the pocket this time. (3) MOOD CONTROL brushed wide and crushed in his debut at this level. Can he follow up that effort or does he bounce? Race 7: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace (5) TRENDY TEEN has been a solid and consistent presence all season at this level and he just needs a bit quicker pace to close into. If they can go quicker than a :57 snoozefest to the half he can reach. (1) DANCIN SANCHO missed a nose and a neck in his last two tries after dropping in for this $60K price for the Alexander barn. Logic dictates he's a major player from the rail. (7) TYPHOON BANNER N returns locally for the Bongiorno barn and he needs to fire from the gate for his best chance. Race 8: Invitational Pace Some new faces invited to this intimate gathering but it's hard not to like the local presence of (1) VERDUN from the rail. Has this guy put in a single bad effort since being claimed by Lachance? He can overcome any sort of trip. (5) SPRING INHIS STEP A arrives for the Cullipher barn with major speed in his arsenal. Last time on a half was in the Gerrity at Saratoga and can be excused for finishing last as he was hung to dry. (2) REDWOOD HANOVER was favored last week at Mohawk facing some really strong rivals and he was used before flattening. Safe to say this is a better spot for the Engblom trainee. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) SILKY CHOICE is a 3YO who has acclimated nicely to life facing more seasoned overnight foes and last out he was a good second to the 1/5 winner. No such foe in here and hopefully he can leave the gate like last time. (5) HIMSELF N has been underachieving lately but this is a much easier spot; big chance. (2) CAMARA MOMENT is just 1 for 16 at Yonkers over the last two seasons; hard to like on top unless he projects to be a much higher price than his ML indicates. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (4) DEUCE HANOVER is just 2 for 21 for a barn that has been struggling to find wins but he's in a softer spot and maybe the fresh set of hands with Dube picking up the drive can help his chances. (2) EUPHORIA N is always a factor when drawn inside and he fits with these. (6) CUPID SHUFFLE has only one seasonal win but it was a 1:50 4/5 score a few back at Philly and the Burke trainee has Bartlett listed tonight for his local return.
