Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(2) DARK ENERGY N went wire-to-wire first off the Garcia-Herrera claim and he draws well here in a field with no real standouts; veteran seems capable of repeating. (4) AMERICAN WIGGLE lands a better spot tonight after a series of outside posts and the Burke trainee figures to be more involved. (1) BLUEBIRD RECON returns to Renaud off the claim, draws the rail and importantly keeps Stratton.

Race 2: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) FLYING FINN N was a decent second last week after leaving well to secure a pocket trip; Jenn Bongiorno trainee should be well placed again. (2) MICKY GEE N closed with plenty last start but it's been a long time between wins and he'll be a short price. (1) MINNIE VINNIE finished well for a board spot last out and now moves back inside.

Race 3: $75,000 Claiming Pace

(1) ALEX TYE was a winner from a similar spot last week and while he'll be the default short-priced favorite I'm not particularly fond of anyone else in here. (7) ALWAYS AND AGAIN seems capable but is stuck outside again; maybe Stratton tries getting him in play this week. (4) SHNEONUCRZYDIAMND A was extremely disappointing last week; he's better than that.

Race 4: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) ARTIE'S IDEAL gets some class relief from the last time we saw him here and he was an off-the-pace winner at this level five back; price should be decent. (1) PYRO gave it an aggressive try last week but faltered; gelding is always a threat when he's in the mood. (6) WESTERN FAME came up dull in last week's Open which was timed in 1:51 1/5; veteran should appreciate the class relief.

Race 5: $75,000 Claiming Pace

(3) DELIGHTFUL TERROR has taken two straight in solid fashion since the $50K claim by Burke and he's in a live spot to make it a hat-trick. (7) JOESSTAR OF MIA A was unable to overcome making a second move last start and faded to sixth; he drops in price tonight and figures to be leaving hard. (2) MACH DORO A disappointed last week, snapping his three-race winning streak.

Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(5) MIKE’S Z TAM crushed a softer field last out at Philly and he's generally accustomed to facing better than these; Lachance trainee has a legit shot here. (4) NVESTMENT BLUECHIP added early speed to his arsenal when he wired NW7500's from the eight hole; he faces better tonight but a repeat of that effort could get it done. (2) BENHOPE RULZ N is feeling good again and he goes for three straight.

Race 7: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(6) ELWELL drew off easily from a pocket trip last week and while traditionally he's needed an inside post to perform his best I think he's too sharp to ignore. (3) GHOST DANCE has been pretty sharp for an extended period of time and only needs a smooth trip to be right there at the wire. (2) THISJETSABOOKIN is up in class for the Stratton brothers after going coast-to-coast first off the claim.

Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) DON DOMINGO N was a stubborn front-end winner last start and while he bumps back up in class he meets a pretty soft NW15000 field and the versatile veteran seems capable of repeating. (1) GENIUS MAN has hit the board in three of his last four and he may well be the controlling speed. (8) YANKEE ROLLER A faces better now from a horrible post but he's sharp and may be able to sneak into the number at a big price.

Race 9: Open Handicap Pace

Bit of a different look in tonight's feature. (4) LEONIDAS A is back from Rosecroft where he had no real chance in the Potomac, which went in 1:48. He's been solid in all prior starts and lands a good starting post. (1) SHANWAY N bumps up to the top level but he's looked super since arriving in the U.S. and he was assigned the pole position. (5) MOONSHINE KISSES is back at Yonkers and has been streaking out of town.

Race 10: $100,000 Claiming Pace

(2) WHITECOOKIE gave it a rugged try last week but was outbattled by (8) TELLITSABB, who took his fourth straight, including his last two at this $100K level. With that rival stuck in post eight the Burke trainee deserves the nod. (1) GLENGARRY KNIGHT N hiked to this level last start and paced evenly for a small share. From the rail he can save ground and emerge with a piece.

Race 11: $50,000 Claiming Pace

(3) BELTANE A came up dull on the rim last out after taking two straight off the Bako claim. Gelding drops to the $50K level which should help him resume winning ways. (6) BENJI’S BEST doesn't start from the most advantageous post but he's raced well to hit the board in his last two. (4) SOHO LEVIATHAN N bounced back nicely from that break in stride two starts back when he dropped and popped last week.

Race 12: $30,000 Claiming Pace

(3) WESTERN HILL got hung to dry last out when going for two straight front-end scores. He should be able to make the front tonight. (1) OZONE BLUE CHIP usually gives a good accounting of himself from inside posts. (6) BEVANS CULLEN N has won four of five and he goes for his fourth different trainer over that stretch; sharp sort must be included.
