MEET STATS: 373 - 1113 / $1,991.60 (-$234.40) BEST BETS: 52 - 104 / $161.40 (-$46.60) Best Bet: UPTOWN FUNK (6th) Spot Play: BENJI'S BEST (5th) Race 1: $40,000 Claiming Pace (5) FOX VALLEY INFERNO has taken three straight for three different trainers as he moves up the class ladder. Overall the veteran is having a tremendous season with over $100K banked compared to just $27K last year. (1) BRACKLEY BEACH was a nice pocket-sitting winner off the Jenn Bongiorno claim then he got stuck in the eight hole. Move back inside makes him an obvious contender. (2) SOHO LEVIATHAN A broke after leaving last out and now he drops in class looking to regain his top form. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $75,000 Claiming Pace (2) SWEET N FAST N was claimed for $23K three back at Pocono by hot trainer Jared Bako and he quickly won three straight moving up the class ladder. Sharp sort can take another. (6) AMERICAN BOY N has found the fountain of youth over the last few months and he closed well from too far back last week. (3) SHNEONUCRZYDIAMND A is in for a tag tonight off last week's sharp win and the Garcia-Herrera barn has been hot. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: NW33975 in last 5 starts Pace (5) FUNKNWAFFLES has morphed into a solid, competitive high-conditioned overnight pacer at age seven. Millionaire is back at the right level and can ride a live trip to victory. (3) ROCK CANDY unwound late in his last two and flew home; he faces an uncertain trip tonight (uncovered?) but he has to be respected. (2) CAVIART LUCA is back in with tougher after regaining confidence and top form against a bit lesser in his last two. Race 4: $75,000 Claiming Pace (6) MACH DORO A is razor-sharp now and even showed versatility last week by coming from off the pace. As mentioned, this barn is hot. (4) BARBADOS hasn't done a thing wrong in ages; obvious contender. (1) ALEX TYE gets another crack from the rail and he can trip out to land a share. Race 5: $50,000 Claiming Pace (3) BENJI'S BEST didn't have the easiest of trips in his last two after being claimed by the Alexander barn, but he still came home in sub-28. He seems due for some better racing luck from this spot. (8) TONY TOO TALL set sail to the front in his last two from outside posts, why not again off the Gillis claim? (5) HEISMAN PLAYER is much-improved since moving to the Bako barn. Race 6: $75,000 Claiming Pace (4) UPTOWN FUNK continues to race well in practically every start and the gelding finds a relatively soft field of $75K claimers. (8) LOU'S SWEETREVENGE transitioned to the open claimers seamlessly by winning first out for Devita; outside post obviously presents a major problem but he should offer good value. (3) FOREVER FAV has been right there in his last three. Race 7: $100,000 Claiming Pace (3) TELLITSABB took a few starts to get rolling after shipping in but now he's taken three straight, including last week at this top claiming level; he won't offer much of a price but certainly merits the most respect. (5) SOHO LENNON A gets some post relief and this could be a spot to try firing from the gate. (6) WHITECOOKIE has proven he can go with this type; if #5 doesn't leave maybe Brennan takes a shot. Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) CAN B PERFECT threw in a bit of a clunker last week but he's right back in to go and seems capable of turning things around. (1) GRIFFON HANOVER rallied crisply last out and just missed at a price; he faces only slightly better here and does draw best. (5) MINNIE VINNIE was no match for the top ones last week but the Iowa invader has shown ability. Race 9: Open Handicap Pace (7) TATTOO ARTIST resumed winning ways with authority last week and he'll be looking to fire down the road again. (1) WESTERN FAME is back up at the top level after being taken back for $100K by Renaud; inside post assignment is fairly generous. (6) FUNATTHEBEACH N has been a major money-making machine since entering the Gillis barn. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 10: $40,000 Claiming Pace (4) ELWELL missed a bit of time with a sick scratch then was entered lower than the level of the recent claim by Dowse but he raced pretty well for a board spot; veteran can top these with a smooth trip. (1) LATE MAIL has improved in his last two for Gillis and he must be considered here from the rail slot. (3) PEPPER GUY has always seemed like a bit of an underachiever but he does get a bit of class and post relief and wouldn't be a surprise if he snuck onto the ticket. Race 11: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) I'M SOME GRADUATE lands another poor post tonight but he's facing softer and the Burke-trained veteran can beat these with some racing luck. (4) TOOKADIVEOFFDIPPER has disappointed since moving to the Alagna barn but it's really hard not to consider him from this spot. He could have the top in two steps and prove hard to catch. (5) FLYING FINN N never got involved last week, that shouldn't be the case tonight. Race 12: $30,000 Claiming Pace (5) VENIER HANOVER gets some post relief after a string of seven and eight holes, and last start he did finish belatedly for a small check. Gelding figures to be more involved here. (7) MARINER SEELSTER flashed good speed to hit the lead from the seven hole last out and he held for the mild upset; can he do it again? (4) TOLLY HO debuts for Jenn Bongiorno off the claim and he figures to show some improvement. [DRF HARNESS: Follow me on Twitter! @drfharnessmatt]
