Race 1: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(5) SOUTHWIND PETYR was no match for #1 last week and now Bartlett isn't in the bike but this gelding has back class and has looked much better recently. I'll give him a try at a price. (1) SAMHARA N brushed and crushed last out for Napolitano/Hudson and will be favored to make it three straight. (2) KINGSVILLE hasn't won in quite some time but he should be situated somewhere in the top flight of horses and can land a piece.

Race 2: 3-5 YO $30,000 Claiming Pace

(1) LOUS THE ATTITUDE has certainly found a home at this claiming level and gets top call going for three straight and four of five. (5) CAPTAIN T HANOVER is the other speedy and sharp entrant in here and these two figure to line up in an old-school half-mile race. Only question is who will cut the mile? (4) ALABAMAJAMMA rallied well from a three hole last start and can land another piece tonight.

Race 3: $30,000 Claiming Pace

(3) TWIG raced well for these connections in his first start off the reclaim but has been a non-factor since. Gelding drops back down to the $30K level and gets Holland back in the bike, and he's driven this guy aggressively in the past; 15/1 ML. (5) CAROLINA BEACH has raced well for the Devita barn and is in with a big chance here. (6) THEFLYINGROCK has a win and a second in his last two but they were from inside posts. Now in post six I'm not sure Bartlett can get him near the front.

Race 4: $50,000 Claiming Pace

(6) MIND HUNTER got nipped in the late stages last week after setting a hot clip, ending his winning streak. Chance to get a much better price tonight than we're accustomed to seeing. (2) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N tripped out to win that event over the top one and drawing well again makes him a logical contender again. (1) TASTE OF HONEY has been stuck in the seven hole in his last two races after dropping in for a tag but now with the move all the way inside we should expect more involvement from this Burke trainee.

Race 5: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(7) SONNY WEAVER N has been showing much more energy recently and gets to face a bit softer here; veteran has the speed to hopefully overcome the post. (2) ULTIMAROCA steps up a notch looking to repeat and he's got plenty of back class. (8) HAZEVILLE was a bit overmatched the last time we saw him at Yonkers so obviously the class relief helps. The eight hole doesn't, however.

Race 6: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) LEONIDAS A grabbed that long-awaited win last out, now it's time to score again. (3) COVERED BRIDGE should appreciate some class relief. (2) ROCK DIAMONDS N took some time off after his ridiculous win streak was snapped. Is the Bongiorno trainee ready for action again? Kakaley drives tonight.

Race 7: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) WATTSUP SUNSHINE A went a big mile in defeat last week, his second time with Lasix added. Vallee trainee has Holland driving again and moves back inside. (5) BIG GULP broke last week and was a non-factor; Engblom trainee plunges in class looking to awaken. (3) PURPLE POET was supposed to win when dropped to the basement. Let's see if he can string a few together.

Race 8: Invitational Pace

(2) HIMSELF N is in the midst of an insane form spree and now he moves back inside by virtue of winning the 2 thru 8 draw. He faces legit competition but deserves top billing. (5) COACHES CORNER has had a fantastic season and it's not over yet as he returns to the overnight wars; he's a must-use. (4) PLEASELETMEKNOW took a shot in the Breeders Crown elim after winning the Dayton Derby consolation; Alexander trainee was a winner when last in the Invite.

Race 9: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(6) OZONE BLUE CHIP hasn't won in five starts since being reclaimed by the Adamczyk barn but he's closed well in his last few and we know he can leave the gate as well; worth a try at what should be an honest price. (3) MAXIMUS RED A has been speedy and consistent for the Bongiorno barn and he's logical; Marohn has the catch drive. (4) BAD BOY TOO just missed when bumped to this $40K level for Laterza; he's another speed threat in the finale.
