2025 MEET STATS: 308 - 1027 / $1,701.88 (-$352.12) BEST BETS: 54 - 101 / $174.44 (-$27.56) BEST BET: JUMPINGJACKMAC N (7th) SPOT PLAY: ROYAL DESIRE (6th) Race 1: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (7) WARRIOR FOR TRUTH was reclaimed by the Dilloian Jr. barn and jogged for these connections two back. Post complicates matters but if he makes the lead he'll be tough to catch. (5) DONTLIKEITLEAVE has not been responding at the $40K claiming level so he drops in class looking to awaken. Worth a look at a price. (4) ALWAYSCUTTINSCHOOL was an easy winner two back and closed well from too far back last start. Devita trainee is in good shape. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace (6) VICIOUS is drawn outside again because he's in for the higher tag but that didn't stop him last week as he fired to the front and was a well-rated winner from there. Perhaps more of the same here. (2) SLING SHOCK brushed and crushed in two straight since being claimed by these connections and deserves a crack at taking on better. (1) DANCIN SANCHO missed a nose from a similar spot last week, his debut in claimers. Race 3: $30,000 Claiming Pace (5) ROCKIN N TALKIN is the sharp horse moving up to face a field of mostly rivals in poor form cycles. Let's look for three straight. (1) HEAVEN ON HIGH N offered nothing last week but was claimed again and looks to bounce back for new connections. (4) AMERICAGREATAGAIN has shown zilch in three local starts but he does draw an improved post and picks up the leading driver. Race 4: NW34801 in last 5 starts Pace (5) DUNKIN' is more than capable of beating these, especially if he makes the front. Depends if he's in the mood, I guess. He'll be a fair price. (3) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N was a winner two back from a similar spot. (1) HOWLENTHEHILLS moves from the worst post to the best post and he's got the early speed to secure position and work out a live trip. Race 5: $40,000 Claiming Pace - $10K GTD Pick 5 (8) MUSIC HALL is as good as any of these $40K claimers but may be overlooked due to the brutal post, but he's performed well for multiple barns and has the proven early speed to get into play; new driver in Stratton for his new barn. (2) CUT N RUN N won easily on the front end last week and is a very logical favorite as he goes for the repeat. (1) SHAKESPEARE is going well now and a similar effort to his last puts him right there. Race 6: NW10410 in last 5 starts Pace (2) ROYAL DESIRE has been in a bit tough over his last few starts but note the last time he was at this NW10000 base level he jogged on the front end. I think new driver Brennan will have him in play early. (5) SANTANA HANOVER gets considerable class relief in his local return and the Bongiorno trainee does have three local wins this season. (1) CHURCHVIREFRANKL IR finished close last week after dropping and he's another very logical one in here, especially from the outside post. Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) JUMPINGJACKMAC N is 0 for 10 since arriving but he's hit the board in seven of those tries and this looks like the best spot the import has seen; time to win. (3) KINGSVILLE moves back to the inner half of the gate, where he's always involved. (6) NANDOLO N has won two straight and stepping up to this class isn't a problem, but the outside post may be. His general lack of early speed sometimes puts this 11YO millionaire behind the eight ball. Race 8: Invitational Pace I guess some invitations were lost in the mail, but we still have a solid six pack of horses. (3) DESPERATE MAN is back after taking a little time off after his performance in the Aria. Alexander trainee is a proven stakes-caliber horse and should use his good draw here (3 thru 6) to his advantage. (5) JAMAICAN ROCK A tired in his last couple but he's reunited with Bartlett and won the last four times he drove. (4) WHATS STANLEY GOT A has quietly made his way back to the top level and won his last, but that was three weeks ago. Likely saves ground here and will look to rally late. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) CURLY JAMES A is more fresh stock from Australia and he was a nice earner Down Under. Debuts for the Engblom barn off a winning qualifier and picks up Bartlett. (3) WINDSUN RICKY dropped and popped last week and will probably be sent to the early lead again. (5) THIS IS THE PLAN is easy to root for, even if the results are no longer there. He moves in a couple of posts and can be considered. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (2) PRINTVILLE hasn't seen an inside post in nearly two months and he was a winner that evening. Is the good draw enough to get the Stratton trainee over the hump? Maybe. (3) SMIFFY'S TERROR N drops in his second start back from vacation and he probably is the one to beat, but it's been a while since he's won a race and he won't offer much value here. (6) THE MIKI TAKER A took no money in his debut for the Tritton barn and toured the track from the eight hole. This is a better spot and these imports always deserve consideration.
