Race 1: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) TOLLY HO rallied crisply from off the pace in his last two and he's in a prime spot to double up despite the slight bump in class and loss of Brennan (to a Burke trainee). (4) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN finally lands a better spot after a series of outside draws and Bartlett should be heading to the front. (6) MARINER SEELSTER goes for another new barn tonight (Travis Alexander) and he's proven himself recently at this level.

Race 2: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) ESCAPETOTHEBEACH gets needed class relief tonight as he finds a pretty soft edition of NW15000 and he does home some early speed to help overcome the post. (1) GENIUS MAN technically double-bumps off a loss but he was motoring late in that race and this barn has been going well. (5) FLYINGEVENBETTOR N is long overdue for his first seasonal victory and he can kick home with a good setup.

Race 3: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(4) BELTANE A recently put in back-to-back solid efforts at this level so it was no surprise to see him get claimed last week; he gets Bartlett in the bike for the Bako barn, which has certainly made a splash here. (1) WHITE HAIR ROCKS is 0 for 34 on the season but has earned over $50K by virtue of his 13 on-the-board finishes; he moves all the way inside and picks up Brennan. (5) REAL LUCKY N has seemed to tail off a bit recently and probably needs a drop in class; I'll still use him underneath, however.
Race 4: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(2) MARTY MONKHOUSER A held all off but one last week, and that was a rail-skimming longshot; classy veteran draws well and can take control early here. (1) TREASURE MACH hasn't been bad but hasn't been great in three starts off the Jenn Bongiorno claim; he's in line here for a live trip. (5) GHOST DANCE bumped to this level off the claim and tired after an aggressive uncovered bid; Dexter Dunn picks up the catch drive again.
Race 5: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) WHITECOOKIE arrives from Northfield where had some tough trips recently at their top level; 4-year-old is tagged at the $50K level and we know Burke is great at shuffling around his stock and getting them properly classified. (3) UPTOWN FUNK drops back to the $50K level where he's been most successful. (6) CHANGE STRIDE N went wire-to-wire off the Bako claim making it three straight on the front end; veteran is an obvious player.
Race 6: $75,000 Claiming Pace
(5) MACH DORO A tried it from off the pace last start and did not gain into a stepped-up back half. He drops in for a tag tonight and has been going as fast or faster than most of these recently. (7) ROBBIE BURNS N has plenty of early speed and it would be no surprise to see Holland blasting from the gate. (4) BEACH BOOGIE has two recent wins at this level and overall four wins in his last seven starts.
Race 7: Open Handicap Pace
(8) TATTOO ARTIST shipped in last week and blasted down the road in track record-equaling time; connections dropped him right back in knowing that they would be assigned the outside post so I'll assume a similar effort is coming tonight. (3) NONE BETTOR A tired on the front in his last two starts but maybe sitting a pocket ride (like in the Quillen) can reverse his fortunes. (4) FUNATTHEBEACH N has been rock-solid in all starts since the Gillis claim.
Race 8: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) AFLAME HANOVER has been a little flat in his last couple but he gets a nice driver change to Dexter Dunn tonight and should be a decent price. (1) PYRO isn't always the most consistent horse out there but he has won nine times this season (including last start) and he's the most accomplished of these (2) IDEAL JIMMY figures to sit a close-up stalking trip and he can be a part of this.
Race 9: $100,000 Claiming Pace
(1) JOESSTAR OF MIA A went down the road at odds-on last start and he'll be heavily favored to do so again; Dowse trainee is clearly the one to catch. (2) SOHO LENNON A gets much-needed post relief and will obviously be more involved. (5) BUY IN debuts for the Burke barn off what looks like a private sale and he does have a couple of recent seconds when DiDomenico had him.

Race 10: WO30000 in last 5 starts Handicap Pace
(4) ROCK THE DEVIL has been solid recently and could have a three-race winning streak with some better luck; Dunn gets the catch drive and he should offer the better price of the main contenders. (3) BETTOR MEMORIES is going very well now for Burke and he must be included. (2) GRAY DRAGON has flashed early speed in his last few tries and he has a very good post to work with tonight.
Race 11: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) PERFECTLY CLOSE gets important class and post relief tonight which makes him the clear-cut choice in here. (4) KINNDER JACKSON offered up good early speed last time and now gets Brennan to drive. (7) HIGHLAND TARTAN has been facing much better recently but he draws poorly and is coming off a sick scratch.
Race 12: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) SOMEBADDUDE joins the Jenn Bongiorno barn for his local return and he has had some success here in the past; top billing. (1) DIAMONDBEACH is one of many Bucci trainees that's going well now and he must be considered. (3) PERSIMMON A was second best from a similar spot two back and he had no realistic chance last start; he can land a share here.
