2025 MEET STATS: 308 - 1027 / $1,701.88 (-$352.12) BEST BETS: 54 - 101 / $174.44 (-$27.56) BEST BET: RENALDO N (2nd) SPOT PLAY: VICIOUS (6th) Race 1: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) SMIFFYS TERROR N took a few months off and returned fresh with a sharp qualifier so I'm thinking he'll be ready for action right away. (2) NANDOLO N continues to perform and always gives an honest effort; 11YO steps up a notch looking to repeat and the good draw makes that entirely possible. (1) TWIN B DELUXE takes a needed drop in class and also moves all the way inside; he should be a pace factor here. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) RENALDO N is a perfect 4 for 4 since arriving in the U.S. for the Shane Tritton barn and though he graduated out of the NW lifetime restricted classes and has to face more seasoned rivals he seems more than ready to handle it, especially leaving from the rail. Bartlett picks up the drive. (6) SILKY CHOICE is a 3YO with just 19 lifetime starts but he's quickly made the transition to facing older foes and has excelled from on or off the pace. (4) PEACE OUT POSSE was no match with optional $60K claimers but he was a winner when last at this NW15000 level. Race 3: $40,000 Claiming Pace (4) SPEAKER OF PEACE enters another new barn via claim and is proven at this level. Post relief after being parked from the eight hole last week should lead to a much better trip. (3) CUT N RUN N has raced well in all recent and he lands his best post in some time. He deserves to be favored but will likely be overbet with Bartlett on the return drive. (1) WALKINSHAW N is still a legit presence at 13 years old and the move inside ensures a close-up trip. Race 4: 3-6YO Open Pace (1) ENDOFSTORY wired a similar field four back then was hampered by a lack of early speed in his subsequent three tries. Dilloian Jr. trainee moves looms large moving to the rail tonight. (2) CATALBA RESCUE A faltered at 1/9 odds last out ending his four-race winning streak upon arrival from Australia. Blackler trainee is obviously very talented and we'll see if he can bounce back. (6) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N will probably have too much ground to cover to make him a threat for the top spot but he should rally for a piece. Race 5: NW10501 in last 5 starts Pace (3) CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR is sitting at just two wins in 29 tries this season but he drops to a softer spot tonight and draws better. Lachance figures to be laying just off the speed in third or fourth and has plenty of sub :28 last quarters recently. (6) SEASIDEESCAPE is a fresh face into the Engblom barn coming from Ohio and he's probably ready for action off that local qualifier. (2) LUCAPELO A returns to action off a winning Pocono qualifier showing no ill-effects from that poor effort three weeks back. Race 6: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace (6) VICIOUS gets Bartlett back in the sulky and he's got three wins and a close second the last four times he drove; Bongiorno trainee figures to be sprinting to the lead. (1) TRENDY TEEN has been a solid earner for these connections after being claimed for $60K back at the end of July. He's almost made back the purchase price already. (2) MANFERNO was a winner at this level two back at a $22 mutuel. He'll be shorter tonight and can win with a perfect trip. Race 7: 3-6YO Open Pace All of these horses are capable of winning this on any given week. With that said (3) VERDUN brings 100% every week and anytime he's middle of the gate on in he's an especially big threat. There's speed to his outside which could soften up his rivals and he can come storming late at an honest price. (1) ALWAYS A THRILL missed a head and a neck in his last two and should be right there again. (5) SOHO FIRESTONE A pulled up in the Aria but aside from that he's been great. Race 8: NW30061 in last 5 starts Pace (3) TENZING BROMAC N ships in for the Cushing barn and they enlist Bartlett to drive; good enough for me. (1) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A is a legit Open-type pacer who takes a needed drop in class tonight and draws the rail. Very dangerous. (4) AMERICAN DEALER N finally got a win last week and will be a big price if he repeats. He can save ground and land a share. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW7681 in last 5 starts Pace (5) WASA HEAT SEEKER N came from off the pace to score versus one notch lesser last out and he's the only one in here with a win over the last five weeks. There could be a live trip in his future from this midpack post. (1) WINDSUN RICKY N takes a needed drop in class and he's got controlling speed from the rail. (7) THIS IS THE PLAN seems to be winding things down after an amazing career. Mile times and last quarters over his last three races are more than competitive. Race 10: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (4) GOLIATH HANOVER isn't that far removed from a win versus $40K claimers so the Burke trainee should appreciate the dip in class. This is a good spot for Buter to try leaving the gate. (2) WHY TOMORROW RAY is back at the level he's most successful at and he gets a notable driver change from Tyler Miller to Bartlett. (6) WARRIOR FOR TRUTH enters yet another new barn via claim and he's going for four straight wins.
