(8) CERTIFIABLE wired most of these from the seven hole last week and I can't find anyone who I think can step up and beat him. As long as the Engblom trainee isn't totally abused going to the front he should repeat. (2) HE'S SPECIAL went evenly to finish third on the DiDomenico reclaim and he did win for these connections three back. Similar trip looms tonight but maybe he can have a bit more to offer. (1) FULSOME is a good speedster who will be part of the early action. He was a pocket-sitting second to the top choice last start.

Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(5) TYGA HANOVER finds himself back in for tag as the chronically underachieving veteran tries to find the right classification. He picks up Bartlett and I'll take a stab. (1) ONTO EL DORADO N was stuck outside in his first two starts for this barn. Move inside should make him a contender. (4) WON LAST FEELING has outraced his odds in last two. Value is gone but he does have a legit chance.

Race 3: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) THRASHER takes an ambitious step back up to the $50K claiming level after regaining his form at the lower-conditioned levels and he has been competitive with this type in the past. (1) ROCKIN JUKEBOX was in tough spots his last couple but he raced respectably; gelding was a 2x winner off the Bongiorno claim and the move inside helps the cause tremendously. (6) PEDRO HANOVER returns locally off a sizzling win at Monticello and should be a late threat.
Race 4: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) IDEALSOMEMAGIC A has had a huge season with over $350K banked and last week he cruised at odds-on with the class relief. He pretty much gets a free ride at this level and the Stratton trainee deserves top billing. (3) AMERICAN DEALER N is also loaded with class and should prove the main threat as the second choice. (1) SPEED MAN N returns off a couple of months off and this veteran is also no slouch but he may need a little time to get back to top form.
Race 5: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
Tough race with many options...(2) SPLASH BROTHER steps up in class off a loss (to #1) but he's proven capable with this type in the past and can use a well-timed brush to score. (5) MOONLIGHT SHADOW beat this class from the pocket two back and Bartlett is back aboard. (3) DELIGHTFUL DUDE N was a sharp winner two back, finished close up last week.
Race 6: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(6) ROAN COLOR broke in his first start for this barn after shipping in from Ohio but he's raced well in his last two, with a win and a second. Bartlett is back driving and he appears to have some more upside than others. (2) NOB HILL FLASH was a winner here three back with Siegelman driving, and he's back in the bike tonight. (3) ARRHYTHMIC SURGE has hit the board in two of his last three at this level; Kakaley gets the drive.
Race 7: Open Handicap 1,8 assgn, 2-3,4-7 drawn Pace
(5) LEONIDAS A was a fast-closing second last week, home in :27 1/5, but the winner was able to rate kindly on the front end; he lands in a similar spot tonight and deserves another chance. (4) WHATS STANLEY GOT A has hit the board in every start here and certainly appears overdue at this top level; would like to see Kakaley be aggressive to cross over the inside three. (8) COVERED BRIDGE was last week's rated winner but I would be surprised if it was that easy tonight. Gillis trainee goes for win #16 in a terrific season.
Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BURNHAM BOY N returns locally now in the Doug Dilloian Jr. barn and these connections have had plenty of experience with these imports over the years. He's got some early speed and a driver who likes to utilize it. (2) SAILBOAT HANOVER needed a big drop in class to get back to the winner's circle and he starts the trek upwards now going for two straight. (1) MR PERFECT N drops, lands inside again and is a strong candidate to hit the ticket.

Race 9: 3-5YO $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) HIGH ON ROCKNROLL has been just okay in his three starts since being claimed by the Adamczyk barn but he has flashed speed on a couple of occasions and he can setup with a nice trip here. (5) SHUFFLE UP HANOVER hit a road bump last out on his trip up the NW class ladder so now he enters claimers. Hard to ignore these connections, though he has missed some time. (4) BATTLEFIELD is a fresh face as he ships in for the Cullipher barn and we'll see if he fits well with these.
Race 10: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) SAVE ME A DANCE makes his second start at this reduced level after finishing third last start. Engblom trainee retains Bartlett, has plenty of back class and may offer some value with #3 likely to take money. (3) KARLOO BRADLEY N ran into This Is The Plan last week and had to settle for second. Recent import steps up again and will need his best, but clearly that's possible. (1) CYRUS N has been solid in his last three and should make some noise from the rail.
