Yonkers: Analysis for Monday 10/19/26
:quality(75))
2026 MEET STATS: 287 - 898 / $1,550.82 (-$245.18)
BEST BETS: 52 - 95 / $176.72 (-$13.28)
BEST BET: WALKINSHAW N (4th)
SPOT PLAY: HEMSWORTH N (8th)
Race 1: NW10151 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) LYRICAL GENIUS A is able to drop from $40K claimers to this conditioned class. He draws decently and returns to Bartlett; likely to get the festivities off to a chalky start. (2) WHICHWAYTOTHEBEACH finally draws inside after a string of comically bad posts. This is a millionaire pacer who seems to still have plenty to offer and he's very dangerous with the class drop. (7) FORCE FULL A dropped and popped last out and sometimes that gets horses going; will be a big price from this post and maybe he can sneak into the tri or super.

Race 2: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(1) MISSED THE TRUTH A was reclaimed by the Laterza barn and won for these connections from a similar spot two back. Goes for four straight and five of six overall and has a tactical edge on the other contenders. (4) TYPHOON BANNER N was much-improved last week and with Bartlett now catch driving the Bongiorno trainee he's the one to fear. (3) PEACE OUT POSSE tends to race as well as he draws so from this post he can save ground and land a piece.
Race 3: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(7) COALFORD TOPGUY GB is now two-for-two at this level since being claimed by Bongiorno and considering how sharp he has looked in those wins I'm inclined to think overcoming the worst post won't be a major problem; Bartlett catch drives. (3) HAMMERING HANK has looked much better recently after a dry spell and he steps back into claimers with a post edge on his main rivals. (4) TOPVILLE SOMEBEACH failed to get involved in his last couple but the move to the middle of the pack gives him a legitimate chance.
Race 4: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(4) WALKINSHAW N was an easy winner two back and ran into a tough rival last week and had to settle for second; 14YO classmaster looks like he can make the front if Brennan wants and he should prove tough here. (1) LETSMAKELOTSAMONEY gets major post relief and was a winner from an inside draw three back. (8) SOUTHWIND IRON looks for two straight for top connections but will have to overcome post eight.
Race 5: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A returns from a trip to Saratoga and is now in the Blackler barn. Hate to default to Bartlett and a favorite but the driver change is notable as well as the class relief. (3) THONG CONTROL was reclaimed twice by Lachance and he ultimately took him out of claimers, so I'm guessing he likes this guy. Steps up a notch off a good runner-up effort and should be close again. (1) ODDS ON NO LIMIT is also close in most tries and the move to the rail makes him formidable.
Race 6: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SWEETHOMEALABAMA N paced a big back half last start in a solid wakeup effort and I'm hopeful that gets the Stratton trainee trending in the right direction. (1) CAPTAIN FEAR dropped in class for the third consecutive start last week and just missed. Draws best while staying at the same level. (4) BET ON BIG JOE returns at a reduced level after a brief freshening as the Laterza trainee tries to get things going for some returns on that $50K claim back in June.
Race 7: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) NEVERSTOPDREAMIN N hasn't won yet this year in eight tries but he's been close on a number of occasions and the class drop can get him over the top tonight. (4) TENZING BROMAC N returns from New England and the talented import seems to fit well here but he is 0 for 7 over the last couple of seasons at Yonkers so I'll use him underneath. (1) SOHO DOW JONES A is back up in class after winning in his first start off the bench.
Race 8: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) HEMSWORTH N steps up in class a notch while he goes for three straight and this 9YO veteran has been a solid performer at the top levels for years. Moves back inside and Stratton drives again. (5) MAC'S DELIGHT was in an easy spot last week and got the job done; Engblom trainee will have to work harder in order to repeat. (3) EVILEYE FLEEGLE has been right there in his last few and consistently finishes with strong final quarters.

Race 9: Invitational Pace
I'm not sure if (7) CHASE H HANOVER can make the front tonight but the Bongiorno trainee is speedy and as consistent as they come. Braxten Boyd catch drives and should offer a very honest price. (5) MOSSDALE BEN N took last week off before rejoining the Invitational ranks on the strength of two straight wins; Pete Tritton trainee always deserves major respect. (4) BOURBON COUNTY is the lone 4YO in here and has quickly proven to be a fit; decent post should get the Engblom trainee in play.
Race 10: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(4) THAT DOG WILL HUNT was well-rated and scored easily from a similar post last out and the connections keep him at the winning level looking for a repeat. (2) SOLESSEO MATUCA A broke late in last outing but was a good second the start prior. (3) FERRAGAMO HANOVER was much-improved in last and now picks up Bartlett.
