2025 MEET STATS: 308 - 1027 / $1,701.88 (-$352.12) BEST BETS: 54 - 101 / $174.44 (-$27.56) BEST BET: AMERICAN DEALER N (7th) SPOT PLAY: SMOOTH LOU (9th) Race 1: 3-6YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (3) JUST ENUFF STUFF was no match last week at the $40K claiming level but always has a home in this class regardless of what barn he's in; Brennan picks up the drive tonight and figures to be heading towards the front. (1) WARRIOR FOR TRUTH debuts for yet another new barn and was a blowout winner last out versus a notch lower. Bartlett stays on the now Dilloian Jr. trainee and looms large from the rail. (5) CHICKEN N DICE will be a big price based on his last couple of outings but he's a proven commodity with these and is worth considering for a piece. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW15001 in last 5 starts Pace (1) PANETTONE HANOVER is up in class again for the Stratton barn after blowing away NW5000, NW7500 and digging in vs. NW10000 in his last three races. He couldn't possibly be any sharper right now. (6) ROCK THE BELLES also steps back up a notch after a game try last week and he keeps Bartlett. (5) TWIN B DELUXE has been okay since being reclaimed for $60K by the Bako barn; this is a welcome drop in class. Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) THE GREEK FREAK has followed a similar pattern to #1 in the second race...look at those three races for his new barn after arriving from Canada! Much tougher spot here but I'm sticking with him. (2) KINGSVILLE is always close but doesn't always get it done; in line for another good share from this spot. (1) ESCAPE TO AMERICA also steps up a notch but was ultra-game in defeat last week, losing to Panettone Hanover in 1:51 3/5. Does Dube look to seat everybody and wire these? Race 4: 3-6YO Open Pace (3) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A is a multiple-time winner at this level in 2025 and will offer some value in a field stacked with legit contenders. He's best when he can make the front or get a pocket ride which may be possible from this spot. (1) ALWAYS A THRILL went down the road last week and was nailed on the money in 1:50 3/5. He's got the rail again and gets Bartlett in the bike. (5) SOHO FIRESTONE A is versatile and definitely capable. Only mark on his 2025 ledger was in the Grade 2 Aria when he broke and pulled up, but was right back in action six days later in a winning qualifier. Race 5: $40,000 Claiming Pace (2) MUSIC HALL is back to the Laterza barn yet again by reclaim and he's now proven with this type; post edge gives him top billing. (4) SOUTHWIND PETYR steps up in class but has been sneaky sharp. (5) ALL ALONE was live for these connections first out off the $30K claim. Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) NONE BETTOR A may never find a softer spot and the veteran will take advantage. (7) GINGRAS BEACH won by open lengths the last time Bartlett drove. (3) JM'S FINALTREASURE dropped and popped last week; Burke gelding steps up a notch, draws better. Race 7: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace I'm stuck on (2) AMERICAN DEALER N until I go broke. Fresh hands from leading driver can hopefully make the difference. (8) HELLABALOU is in a tough, tough spot but outclasses the rest. (1) DANCIN SANCHO has been very sharp since shipping into the Alexander barn. Race 8: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) REDWOOD HANOVER was tons the best in 1:51 1/5 first out for the Engblom barn; repeats. (1) HAZEVILLE was okay but a bit outclassed in the Open last week; should sit a live trip here probably behind the favorite. (3) MY ULTIMATE BYRON A has been good for an extended period of time now and is tough to leave completely off the ticket. Race 9: $40,000 Claiming Pace (3) SMOOTH LOU is not that far removed from a win at this $40K level then was lost from the eight hole in two of his last three. Toss those efforts and he's right with these at 20/1 ML. (2) SHAKESPEARE runs hot and cold but should be in line for a live trip tonight. (5) SLING SHOCK was a sharp winner in debut for these connections off the $40K claim. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (4) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N drops from the 3-6YO Open ranks and he's won his last two at this level. Makes him pretty logical, no? (3) HEMSWORTH N was recently third and a winner at the NW30K level and he always seems to draw well. (1) COPPERFIELD gave way after a seven-hole speed try last out; back inside and back to Bartlett. Race 11: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace I wonder if (1) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK will have a tactical edge on favored #3 in here with his speed and better draw. (3) NANDOLO N is back to Bartlett and needs no introduction. Clearly capable of grinding by. (4) PLEASELETMEKNOW is having major problems getting untracked this year with four starts and zero board finishes. He's inching ever so slowly to a million earned.
