2023 MEET STATS: 392 - 1109 / $2,065.30 (-$152.70)
BEST BETS: 59 - 103 / $196.80 (-$9.20)
BEST BET: MR DS ROCK (9th)
SPOT PLAY: MISS DOTTIE MAE (3rd)
Race 1: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) AUDI HARE N hasn't done much in recent memory to get the juices flowing but he did rally well for third behind a runaway winner in his local return and there isn't anything in here to be afraid of. Post gives Brennan options. (8) PAT STANLEY N was used too hard from the eight hole last week and while he's stuck outside again he faces much softer; not impossible here. (1) PURPLE POET drops and moves all the way back inside; he's very logical but will also be overbet.
Race 2: F&M Open Handicap 1-3, 4-6 drawn Pace

It was only a matter of time before (1) COACHELLABOUND N reached the top level so we'll find out how good she really is. Landing the rail gives Holland the option to take control early or let someone else cross over then retake. (5) MADRID A took all the money as expected last week and wasn't overly impressive winning; clearly this import could have more to offer. (4) KARMA SEELSTER could not reach in that last start but she was rolling prior to that; this is a better spot for Stratton to leave the gate.

Race 3: F&M NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) MISS DOTTIE MAE outraced her odds in her last couple with game on-the-board finishes. She'll be another good price tonight and is capable with a live trip. We know (6) LIT DE ROSE is the best in here and other Lachance trainees have done well recently; will she have too far to come? (1) TWIN B SUNKISSED will benefit from moving back inside after finishing well (but too late) last week.
Race 4: F&M NW22101 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) SILK CLOUD A fired to the front last week, rolled along and looked home free but hit a brick wall in the stretch. Maybe a more relaxed pace or a stalking trip will work out better for her. (1) MORNING HAS BROKEN overcame a bad start and almost got there after gapping the top choice; mare hasn't won in a while but is proven with this type. (5) TONY'S MOM is back after a two month break and she's capable of making some noise in here.
Race 5: $25,000 Claiming Pace
(7) BRACKLEY BEACH has been very consistent of late and he does drop back to the level of his last win; there is speed to his inside but if Stratton can improve position early he's got a shot at a decent price. (3) SWAGASAURUSREX is probably best a level or two down but this is not a strong field by any means and he does draw decently. (4) PICARD A is another rugged veteran in here who fits and can be forwardly placed.
Race 6: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) OKINAWA BEACH A hasn't been a serious player of late but she's been stuck facing tougher competition. Import gets some class relief and picks up a new pilot in Siegelman. I wouldn't be surprised if she steps up with a big effort. (1) OAXACAN DREAM N raced very well out of town in her last couple and she gives Yonkers a try now; connections had a couple of runners here the other night who were decent. (2) JODY makes her second start back from a layoff and the Burke trainee finds a good spot, but won't offer any value.
Race 7: NW12401 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) CRANBOURNE N arrives from Down Under to make his first U.S. start for the connections who bring us Leonidas A. He's been a good earner though just 52 lifetime starts and could be ready to go at first asking. (1) SHINE A LIGHT may lack the class of others in here but he lands the rail and figures to be in line for a live trip. (7) UNDRTHSOUTHRNSUN N took advantage of the recent class reprieve with a second and a win; Holland gets the call and he likes to be aggressive.

Race 8: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) TIN ROOF RAIDER A drops in class again and was a winner when last in this cheap. Holland drives again and he's worth a look at what will be the best price of the logicals. (3) ODDS ON PICK SIX was in a different zip code in his last two from outside posts but he finds a more reasonable spot tonight and note his lone win this year came three levels higher than this. (1) INDICTABLE HANOVER has just been going through the motions recently and is due for a more aggressive effort.
Race 9: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MR DS ROCK closed crisply in his local return facing one notch higher but this veteran also has early speed and a better post to work with. Joe B gets the catch drive and top billing. (1) SAUVIGNON BLUECHIP gets needed class and post relief, and it wasn't too long ago that Brennan steered this guy to back-to-back wins. (4) DELIGHTFUL TERROR has looked somewhat better in his last couple, but nowhere close to expectations when he was claimed for $30K a couple of months back. Jordan Stratton is back in the bike for his brother.
