MEET STATS: 276 - 784 / $1,502.40 (-$65.60) BEST BETS: 38 - 75 / $119.60 (-$30.40) Best Bet: TERRITORY (6th) Spot Play: GREY (2nd) Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace (3) JUST WAVE GOODBYE was claimed three back for $15K and had two races at the $20K level that were decent, but now DiDomenico drops him in for $12,500. Assuming he has four functioning legs he should win this. (5) CARTERS CAPER went quick early last week then was bottomed by the 1/9 winner. He seems capable of bouncing back. (1) TASTE OF HISTORY has been on the shelf for three months but he did qualify back okay and he lands the rail. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (4) GREY has raced reasonably well when a pro driver handled the lines; Zeron drives again and perhaps the mare can speed-pop this field. (8) GOTWUTEVERITTAKES was turned away by better last week and unfortunately he lands the worst post again but he does have live moves and could be a serious player despite the bad draw. (5) ALL CHAMPY was a good second last start in a quick final time. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: $15,000 Claiming Pace (1) ROCK N BLUE went down the road with ease last start for Team Bongiorno and the bump in class shouldn't be a problem as he looks to repeat. (4) GYPSY LEATHER was claimed again out of his last start, a winning effort; he also bumps up a notch in price for new trainer Gillis and he'll likely be on the move early. (6) BUSH MAN N trailed throughout last week but did pass a few late; perhaps he can land a share at a big price. Race 4: $20,000 Claiming Pace (3) PLAY THE FIELD has been pretty consistent lately, and he was game holding second last week after being passed by the leader. His early speed gives him an advantage. (5) ROUGH ODDS threw in a clunker last out and quickly drops from 30's to 20's; rebounds? (1) WESTERN REDHOT comes out of the same race at the top choice and he also held very well after going a long trip. Race 5: NW16200 in last 5 starts Trot (6) THE VETERAN has been much-improved in his last two for the Melander barn and he does have some early speed in his arsenal; he projects to be a much better price than Trond's rail horse and seems worth a play. (1) HILLEXOTIC has completely dominated in his last two facing age-restricted competition and prior to that he was thrown to the wolves in the Graduate; he's the deserving favorite. (2) TAD CRAZY HANOVER was a good second last start to a trotter setting a lifetime-best mark. Race 6: 3&4YO $30,000 Claiming Pace (3) TERRITORY has played the claiming game to perfection for his connections, who paid a bit over $15K for the 4-year-old and now has taken three straight in this class. He'll be odds-on to win another. (6) SAILBOAT HANOVER was bet right into the top one in his last start but broke at the gate; now he's 15/1 on the line and can be used for value. (4) MR DS ROCK took some play from the eight hole last start when it looked like he should have been 99/1, and predictably he did nothing. At least he has a better post to work with now. Race 7: Open Handicap Trot (3) MELADY'S MONET had no chance last week from the eight hole but now he lands in a much more realistic spot and is clearly the one to beat; Bartlett is back driving. (2) CHAMPAGNE ON ICE was a good pocket-sitting second last week and he can work out a similar trip here. (7) CHAPTIAMA never got involved last out. Now Brennan drives for Smedshammer, but this is another tough spot. Race 8: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) ON THE VIRG drops in class for like the 10th consecutive week it seems and he's shown little while falling off the ladder. Can he finally awaken? (4) LESPNDNITETOGETA N also faces softer upon arrival for Shane Tritton; veteran has made a whopping $792 this year but should be able to add to that amount. (2) KERRIN JOSEPH A was an easy winner recently at Philly in their lowest conditioned class. Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (4) THE LAST CHAPTER has been overdue for the longest time it seems and this is a field he could very well take wire-to-wire. (1) KANDY SWEET left the gate last week from midpack but was wiped out in the first turn by a breaker; obviously she deserves another chance. (3) ROCK OF CASHEL has loads of back class to call upon. He's got 48 career wins, though it feels like I bet him in his 205 other starts. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (2) VANQUISHED N isn't exactly a prolific winner but he's a check-earning machine and from an inside post he always seems capable of tripping out. (1) TOWNLINE ALL GOOD hasn't earned a penny since these connections dipped in for $50K but the gelding faces much softer here. (4) ROCKATHON had a total form reversal last week; let's see if he can build on that facing a bit better. Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 11: NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) BARRY BLACK does his best work a level or two down but he's been very consistent of late and could work out a winning trip from the pole position. (3) EYE OFA TIGER AS gets needed class relief and he's been behaving himself. (6) HILL OF A HORSE was second best in his last three tries at this level and he's always a closing threat. Race 12: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (3) TELLITSABB has looked good in two local starts after arriving from Indiana and Dube may be looking to take control early. (5) SPRINGSTEEN got the Bongiorno wakeup call when he shipped back from Ohio and promptly jogged; he's just too inconsistent to trust at a short price. (2) PATRIOT NATION finished with plenty from too far back in his last start but he'll be much closer to the action from this improved post. [DRF HARNESS: Follow me on Twitter! @drfharnessmatt]
