Race 1: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MCMARKLE SPARKLE has been dull in her last few at Scioto so her connections send her back to Yonkers and back with Engblom, where she's had loads of success in the past. Bartlett's out of town early on the card so Buter gets the call. (1) HELLO YES HI wired a softer field as the pick last week and the Burke charge is clearly capable of repeating. (2) ROCKN PHILLY gets some class and post relief so this veteran cannot be ignored.

Race 2: F&M NW23741 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) ATREACHEROUS A has just gone along for the ride in her last couple but she gets away from the streaking Lloyds Loves tonight and I have a feeling Holland will be taking a more aggressive stance. (1) TWIN B SUNKISSED has speed and the rail making this Burke trainee logical. (2) DOUGS BABE A has always been a bit enigmatic and now she has a breaking problem. Hard to trust.

Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot
(5) UNFORGETTABLE has been unable to win yet since shipping East and joining the Engblom barn but her last two at Pocono were pretty good and maybe that can carry over into tonight as she faces a soft field. (2) MYCROWNMYKINGDOM successfully dropped and popped last start but take note that was almost a month ago. (4) MANCLANE returns from Tioga and was a good second at this level back on 7/12.
Race 4: F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) SOMWHERUNDERNEAVN has yet to put in a bad start for these connections since shipping here from Ohio and she figures to be a big price facing some uncertain rivals. In a race I don't like the favorites I'm willing to take a chance here. (4) TRUE BLUE HANOVER doesn't win as often as I'd like but she's raced pretty well all season long and seems capable with a live trip. (1) NO WIN NO FEED A has been the Queen of these claiming mares but she finally got taken and now debuts for new connections. There's a built-in excuse here if she falters.
Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) GDS THUNDER GB has faced better than these most of the year and has had some success. Tonight he makes his second start at this reduced level and I have a feeling Marohn will have him more involved. (1) LYRICAL GENIUS A has had posts 7,8,7,5 in his last four Yonkers starts. Moving to the rail makes him a big player. (2) SOUTHBEACH HANOVER steps back up a notch looking for three straight; logical.
Race 6: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) GOLDEN QUEST N dropped in class last week and rolled down the road at five cents on the dollar. She's got more than enough back class and form to repeat. (3) FRONT PAGE STORY also jogged last start at 1/9 odds. Did Brennan choose this mare over a Burke trainee or is there something else in play here? Interesting. (4) DIXIE DREAM is the Burke piece and now gets Dube to drive. Maybe she rallies over the rest.
Race 7: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) MORNING EDITION just missed last week with a late charge and finished sharply the start prior. Brennan drives again and the 4YO seems overdue for a win. (1) DW'S POINT MAN moves back inside and the Lachance trainee usually shows up to play when drawn well. (3) RITSON has hit the board in his last two but needs to show a bit more late.
Race 8: NW15371 in last 5 starts Trot
(6) FLEURIE makes her first start for the Burke barn after arriving from Canada and seems good to go coming off that qualifier at Pocono. Could be worth a stab if anywhere around her 10/1 morning line. (3) DONATO PATRIOT K shows up to play most every start for Bongiorno but also hasn't won locally in a while. (1) EPOS OSTERVANG DK also hasn't found the winner's circle in quite some time but the Engblom trainee is never far off.
Race 9: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) WHATINEEDISAMAN has been dull as dishwater recently but this is the softest spot this mare has seen in quite some time so maybe we see some sort of turnaround. (1) IRON MISTRESS has just one win over the last two years but figures to be competitive from this spot. (6) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP returns to Yonkers for the first time in a couple of years and Bartlett chose her over an Engblom trainee.

Race 10: F&M NW12671 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) LUCKY ARTIST A was a good second last out from the seven hole and the classy mare now moves inside; she does meet a competitive field here but should work out a live trip from catch-driving Steve Smith, who has done well at Yonkers this year. (7) WHASSUP HANOVER is a 3YO filly with just 21 lifetime starts but she's won nine of them and two back with Bartlett she scored at 3/5. (4) PURAMERI is the ground-saving type who can slide into the number at a price.
Race 11: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot
(6) EMPEREURTHEBEST FR returned to Yonkers last week after an extended stay in the amateurs at The Big M and he exploded past at 57/1. Stays in the same class and is listed at 20/1. Can lightning strike twice? (3) BANK BOX TREASURE was favored in that race and did hold for second; board threat again. (2) EL TORO LOCO ships down from Mohawk and joins the Bako barn. Goes second-time Lasix and picks up Bartlett. Overbet?
Race 12: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) KARLOO BRADLEY N likely needed last week's start and now draws an improved post; expecting him to show more. (1) AUSSIE HANOVER has done little in six starts after being claimed for $40K but he did race better when dropped to this lowest level. (5) POSH ON THE BEACH A is 1 for 58 the last two years but he faces softer in his second start in the Bongiorno barn. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see him step up.
