Race 1: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) CAVIART SARGEANT has been overmatched at the $60K claiming level as evidenced by his double-digit odds in all of those races but the major drop to this class combined with the best post can turn things around in a hurry. (6) SHADOW CAT dropped and popped last week and he's got the class to step up a notch and be a player again. (4) TACK ROOM CHATTER was a non-factor upon arrival from Plainridge but the Bongiorno trainee seems to have found a better class here.

Race 2: F&M Invitational Pace

(3) DOUGS BABE A returns from a stint in Kentucky and this import showed unknown speed en route to a win when last at Yonkers; Siegelman drove that night and he's in the bike tonight. (4) COACHELLABOUND N has hit the board in her last live including three placings at this top level; clear contender. (5) SILK CLOUD A rolled on the front end in her last two, most recently in 1:51 3/5.

Race 3: NW10361 in last 5 starts Trot

(5) BAR COINS didn’t have enough to get there last week when odds-on but now off that loss and move to the five hole the price goes way up and I do think he's more than capable. (1) HELPOFTHESEASON prevailed in well-rated win versus a bit lesser and the Engblom trainee can repeat. (6) KASHA V broke last out after getting a win the week prior; closing threat here at a big price.

Race 4: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) ELEKTRA A continues to ascend the class ladder as she goes for three straight and four of five overall; Stratton picks up the drive tonight and figures to be stalking just off the pace. (4) SOMWHERUNDERHEAVN won but was dq'ed two back in barn debut then just missed last week; big player from these connections (6) VILLAGE JADE held for third in debut for Dilloian off the claim; will be a price with move outside but could rally late for a share.

Race 5: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot

(5) YANKS DUGOUT looks like the speed of the speed in here as the Burke trotter goes for another front-end win. (3) SEVENSHADESOFGREY was a solid off-the-pace winner last out when I thought he would show speed from the rail; that win set a career mark. (1) QUEEN OF ALL is able to drop from the FM invite level, figures to show more.

Race 6: F&M NW15421 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) DRAGONS LUCKY LADY is in the midst of a winless drought but she was a good second last start from the pocket and I wouldn't be surprised to see Bartlett put her on the front. (4) FADE OUT steps up again and is razor-sharp for the Cullipher barn. (3) LUCKY ARTIST A gets some needed class relief and was a winner when last at this level.

Race 7: F&M NW10291 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) TRUE BLUE HANOVER has been disappointing me lately but I'll give her one more chance on the class drop. (3) SUGAR BRITCHES also drops to an easier level, lands an improved post and Bartlett is back driving. (1) BETTER WATCH IT faced softer last week at Philly and got the job done. Maybe she can build off that confidence-boosting win.

Race 8: F&M NW22237 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) TALK CURDY TO ME is a stakes-placed 4YO mare who makes her Yonkers debut for the Cullipher barn and picks up the leading driver. She faces an obvious threat in (1) LIT DE ROSE but may offer a better price than that one, who has lost her last two at 35 cents on the dollar in both. (6) GOLDEN QUEST N isn't as sharp as she was earlier in the season and she lands outside her main competition; big price looming on top but maybe she can slide into the tri.

Race 9: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

Bottom-level types here and none have won a race over the last month-plus of action. (2) FOREVER FAV has no current form but he drops from mid-level claimers and it's a barn change here to Bongiorno. Maybe that helps wake this veteran up. (3) NOME HANOVER was claimed three back for $30K and this is a good spot to recoup some of that money. (5) GAMBLING TERROR is back with Holland and he usually likes to be aggressive with horses from this barn.

Race 10: NW5341 in last 5 starts Trot

This is a trotting version of the prior race with a field full of horses that haven't won here in a while. (1) DOWN THE PIKE MIKE hails from a barn that's had success at Yonkers in the past (though only 2 for 33 this year) and he makes just his second start after being on the shelf for eight months. Bartlett picks up the drive from the pole position. (5) PERRON is 0 for 22 and counting but time-wise he stacks up well here. (3) YOU GOT IT broke in two of his last three but showed good speed in a start sandwiched between.

Race 11: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) WHASSUP HANOVER put in a much-improved effort last week at Philly after dropping to the bottom class. she's a 3YO filly facing elders but hails from very live connections. (1) BRI EXPRESS N was second best from a similar spot three back and almost went the distance last out at Pocono; big player from the rail. (4) ONEDERFULBEACH makes her fourth start after moving from the Engblom barn to the Cory Stratton barn and this is the best post she's seen in some time.

Race 12: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) MISS DOTTIE MAE has had success here facing better than what she meets tonight and I expect Holland to take control with the mare. (8) JIVE DANCING A found a field she could beat last week and now she debuts for new connections; eight hole is tough but she's won from out there in the past. (1) BADDITUDE drops from the $50K claimers and figures to stay close from the rail.
