Spot Play: AFTER ALL PAUL (11th)
Race 1: Excelsior A 3YO C&G Pace
(3) SURREALIN has an effort two back that would be more than enough to easily dispose of this field if repeated. Not much value to be had, however, but he's the most likely winner. (1) SAUVIGNON BLUECHIP has major speed but has also been inconsistent and unreliable. (2) BACKSEAT JOKER was second best in his last Excelsior try and he'll be close to the front throughout.

Race 2: NYSS 3YO C&G Pace
(2) AMERICAN COURAGE disappointed last week in the Cane Pace after being used hard early. Prior to that he had a troubled trip in the Meadowlands Pace but don't forget he was the Messenger winner not so long ago. He's supposed to take control early and handle these with ease. (3) STOP STARING hasn't really done his best work recently in NYSS action but the combo of Ray Schnittker and Mark MacDonald is really clicking now. (1) MULLINAX figures to be sitting a good trip from this spot, perhaps even in the pocket to the heavy favorite.

Race 3: NYSS 3YO C&G Pace
(3) TOWN GOSSIP has taken his last two NYSS events for Team Bongiorno, including that front-end romp last out up at Batavia. He faces some legit talent here but should figure hard to catch if he makes the top without too much trouble. (2) NATAMERI is a bit of a late-bloomer but he was an Adios finalist and didn't disgrace himself in that event. (5) I'LL DRINK TO THAT figures to be forwardly placed here and can contend if he's not roughed up.
Race 4: $12,500 Claiming Pace
(7) WAVES OF FIRE A got hung to dry last week facing $15K claimers but he drops back to the level where he's most successful and he faces a field loaded with question marks. (5) GYPSY LEATHER goes for Tirella now off the claim, has been in good form recently and has loads of experience here. (1) YS SUNSHINE tired last out at Monti but his prior efforts there were solid, and he's helped by drawing the rail.
Race 5: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(5) ELECTRIC WESTERN bumps back up a notch to the $15K level looking for his third straight win and meets no standouts here. (6) BEGINNER'S LUCK has had a mixed bag of efforts recently at the $20K level but he drops back to the level of the claim for Garcia-Herrera and should fit well here. (4) BUGGER BRUISER wired a soft field at The Meadowlands last out and he's got plenty of back class.
Race 6: $20,000 Claiming Pace
(5) I GET THAT was off slowly last week and never got involved in a race that featured a blowout winner; he goes for Yogi Sheridan now off the claim and meets an evenly-matched field. Worth a try if the price is good. (2) MASTERSON gets needed post relief and is almost always a player when drawn inside. (4) IDEAL SON is reunited with Joe Bongiorno, who guided him to two recent wins.
Race 7: Preferred Handicap Trot
(3) SECRET BRO set a lifetime mark in his second start after moving to the Jenn Bongiorno barn; he faces better here but could be up to the challenge. (6) MISSISSIPPI STORM returns locally off a nice win down at Philly and he's had plenty of local success. (5) NEW HEAVEN rarely puts in a bad effort and last week he even raced well coming from off the pace; veteran deserves to be considered in all spots.
Race 8: 3&4YO $30,000 Claiming Pace
(5) TERRITORY was a big winner right off the $15K claim for DiDomenico and he meets much of the same talent again tonight. Hard to make a case against him, but you won't get much of a price. (1) SAILBOAT HANOVER wasn't bad last week, but wasn't great; Burke trainee should be in line for a smoother trip, however. (6) BOURBONS COURAGE was left in the winner's dust last start and flattened out; he'll be a big price here and has shown good closing ability in the past.
Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(1) KINDA LUCKY LINDY was nipped late by Top Flight Angel last week after cutting the mile; he's in a spot where he can potentially control the action again. (3) EV'S GIRL goes from Chindano to Burke/Brennan but that same angle didn't work out that well the other night. (2) TOP FLIGHT ANGEL doesn't put in back-to-back good efforts that often; use caution.
Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) ELWELL was a good second last week at Pocono and he returns locally at a reduced level; don't forget he was a winner off the bench versus better a couple of months ago. (6) WAGON MASTER was taken for $25K last start by Burke and fits this lower-conditioned level; 12/1. (1) AMERICAN BOY N moves to the Garcia-Herrera barn and gets his main guy Dube in the sulky; classmaster is eligible to improve.

Race 11: NW20000 in last 5 starts Trot
(1) AFTER ALL PAUL moves back inside for the Lance Hudson barn, which has been showing major signs of life recently. (4) NO MAS DRAMA has two seconds and a win in her last three local tries facing similar. (5) SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN has solid early speed and isn't shy about flaunting it.
Race 12: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) BETTING EXCHANGE is always better from an inside post but he drops to a new low and tries a new pilot in Buter; I would like to see some early speed from this veteran. (5) KIMANI N resurfaces locally after a stint at Plainridge and he's now in the Harris barn with Bartlett getting the drive; he should go well here. (1) ABERDEEN HANOVER will be more involved with the major post relief.
