Race 1: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) QUALITY BUD was used hard in the early stages last week and ended up tiring in a race that fell apart late. Veteran drops to the basement, lands a decent post and should be tough to deny. (6) SETTLEMOIR went a big effort in defeat first out off the Bako claim then never got involved last week when stuck in the eight hole. He's definitely one to consider at a price. (8) LEVINE is talented enough to go with these and he did flash good early speed in his local return.

Race 2: NW15881 in last 5 starts Trot

(7) MISSISSIPPI STORM is best in here and is tough to ignore at this reduced level. Outside post is no picnic, however. (3) THE LAST CHAPTER is clearly sharp now, and has even been showing a new dimension by rallying from off the pace. Big threat. (6) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN is back from a brief vacation and fits well with these. Brennan can make things interesting if he leaves in front of the top choice.

Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) CINNABAR DRAGON gets both class and post relief in his third start off the Renaud claim and Dube, who has had some success with this veteran, is back driving. (1) ST LADS BEAT IT put in an improved effort in his latest with the class relief and he drops another notch tonight while drawing best. (5) TELL THEM LOU doesn't have a whole lot of current form while facing better but driver Braxton Boyd has been live recently, especially with longshots.

Race 4: $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) PACING MAJOR N never seriously threatened last week at odds-on but overall he's been good and racing back on consecutive weeks again can be viewed as a positive. (4) AWESOMENESS is two-for-two since moving to the Dowse barn; logical contender with Simon Allard getting the catch drive. (5) MARTY MONKHOUSER A still has good speed and Jordan Stratton is back driving.

Race 5: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(1) SHERIFF N is another chalky Dowse trainee and he looks for three straight off the claim; Stratton subs for Bartlett so he doesn't lose much in the talent department. From this spot the veteran will be controlling the action again. (6) SEAFARER has been second best to the top one the last two weeks; can Brennan generate enough early speed to work out a live trip? (3) I GET THAT was claimed again out of his last start despite not having much form recently. When right he's more than capable of beating these.

Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot

(3) TOCCOA FALLS was uninvolved last week facing better but was a winner the start prior from this post at this class level; he should be able to work out a good trip and could have a minor surprise in store for logical chalk (4) ON HIGHER GROUND. The latter tried to leave from post eight last start but took back to the rear, then charged home to be second best. Joe B is back in the bike. (1) FANATIC is good enough to hold position and hit the ticket.

Race 7: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) SHANWAY N was used very aggressively on last week's dropdown and he gave way late as a massive 99/1 bomb swept the field. Bongiorno picks up the drive tonight on the Dilloian trainee and he should offer much more value. (7) BELTANE A jogged facing NW5000 types and came home in :27 flat. He's got plenty of back class as the $112K banked this year will attest to and he may be ignored a bit in the wagering. (1) BETTOR BE OSCAR A has done little in five starts for Laterza after being claimed for $50K but he gets away from those foes tonight and lands the rail.

Race 8: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(3) BLUEBIRD RECON has been a cash machine for Dowse & connections since returning locally and he'll be looking to take this field coast to coast again. He may actually offer a touch of value with Allard subbing for the absent Bartlett. (5) FAST N FIRST toured the track in his local debut from the eight hole facing $50K claimers, and I'm sure that was a needed start after being out of action for a year. Barn has had success here from limited starters. (1) BET ON BLAKE woke up with a better effort last week on the class drop, but he was still run over by a $243 winner.

Race 9: NW21901 in last 5 starts Trot

(6) DELAYED HANOVER has been facing some of the top trotters in the game over at The Meadowlands and anything that Svanstedt sends over here, especially with Dube catch-driving, is an automatic play at any price. (7) WARRIOR ONE won easily last week when dropping to this level and the Burke trainee is clearly best of the rest. (3) VINNY DE VIC broke last week while rallying uncovered in the final turn; prior two efforts versus lesser were solid.

Race 10: $25,000 Claiming Pace

(1) ASTON HILL DAVE was razor-sharp wiring a field of $20K claimers first out for this barn and he doesn't meet much tougher here on the bump in price. Boyd may go down the road again. (3) BETTOR'S DREAM hails from the live Gillis/Stratton connections and he returns off a win at Monti. (2) SPORTS BETTOR tired in his last start but had been racing well in all prior efforts; inside draw ensures a close-up trip.
