(5) NIHILATED TRUTH came back from an extended vacation and he's looked good in his last two; a similar effort tonight will dispose of these. (1) MILITARY MASTER A has been ok since the Blumenfeld claim, but he's coming off a sick scratch and some missed time; use caution. (4) CARTERS CAPER was second best from a similar spot two back.

Race 2: NW30000 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) SPOILED PRINCESS was overmatched in the Miss Versatility but her prior two local starts were solid and the Takter trainee should have a tactical advantage from a favorable post. (5) HILL OF A HORSE is a model of consistency and he'll be motoring late, with a legit change of reaching in time. (4) BARRY BLACK has also been very consistent of late and the French import (remember that?) figures for a share here.

Race 3: 3&4YO $30,000 Claiming Pace
(6) BOURBONS COURAGE has raced well since arriving locally for the Blackler barn and he meets a very suspect field of age-conditioned pacers; I dare you to come up with a better option in here. (2) MR DS ROCK hails from a struggling barn but he draws well and has some speed. (5) BIG SIR was scratched sick last time out, but he has been facing better than most of these.
Race 4: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(2) SOMWHERENBROOKLYN N drops in for a tag tonight for Garcia-Herrera/Dube and he's raced well here from inside posts in the past. (3) WESTERN REDHOT has raced well in four starts across the river for the Quevedo barn. (7) BLACKTREE squandered a pocket trip last week chasing the speedy winner; he drops in price tonight to face easier and could sneak into the number.
Race 5: $20,000 Claiming Pace
(2) BEGINNER'S LUCK went a trip last week more suited for Northfield than Yonkers and can be excused for tiring; he moves inside where he just missed two back. (3) MACHIAVELLI has paced just evenly in his two starts since coming back from the layoff and he drops in class tonight; he seems like the one to beat. (6) PEMBROKE JOEY is at his best a level down but this isn't a strong field of 20 claimers and he's sharp enough to consider.
Race 6: $20,000 Claiming Pace
(5) ART HISTORY jogged off the Bongiorno claim and he double-bumps in class but must be followed, considering the connections. (1) PLAY THE FIELD steps up a notch off the Garcia-Herrera claim and he's been good in practically all recent starts; veteran should be in line for a live trip starting from the pole. (3) ELRAMA N lands in a more realistic spot tonight after last week's tough trip.
Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(3) CHAMPAGNE ON ICE finished with some interest up the rail last week and now the Jenn Bongiorno trainee finds a spot where catch-driver Dan Dube can get much more aggressive with the trotting mare. (1) GLOBETROTTING ships over from Pocono for Burke and she was razor-sharp in her last three. (5) HOBBS is back in on consecutive weeks after missing a month and coming up flat.
Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) BULLY BOY broke at the start in his local return losing all chance but he's right back in with Buter getting the drive again; assuming measures were taken to ensure a clean getaway the gelding trotter seems like a nice fit here. (4) LADY EAGLE was nailed on the wire by the trip-sitter last week but she figures to be aggressively handled again looking to make amends. (1) STINGLIKE A B K didn't make a serious bid last out but it wasn't an awful effort; he lands a good inside post again.
Race 9: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) MACINTOSH N needs to pick his spots these days and he finds a field loaded with question marks; I expect the Vallee trainee to head to the front. (2) VIRGIN STORM has missed time off a sick scratch but he was pretty good in his prior start and he draws well here. (1) DREAMFAIR CHARRO was uninvolved from the outside post in his first start off the $30K DiDomenico claim and now he drops to the basement and moves all the way inside. No way I'm taking a short price on him, however. Have to mention (6) KILLER MARTINI here…veteran has barely had a pulse the last couple of years but now he shows up in the Jenn Bongiorno barn. Will he be back in the Opens soon?
Race 10: Open Handicap Trot
(3) PATRIARCH HANOVER was conservatively handled last week coming off a break and he finished decently; three back he missed a nose in the Open and the Burke trainee figures to be a square price. (1) HEY LIVVY was awesome, then sick, then broke; tough to gauge what happens tonight. (4) CHAPTIAMA was solid in his local return for Smedshammer.

Race 11: NW20000 in last 5 starts Trot
(3) SECRET BRO moves to Jenn Bongiorno via private purchase and I suspect his seasonal 0-fer will be coming to an end soon. Despite not winning, he was a solid earner for Sider. (1) BIG BOX HANOVER arrives from Ohio and I've seen enough of him at Northfield to think he'll fit nicely here. (5) NEW HEAVEN almost always gives a good accounting of himself.
Race 12: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) SUGARTOWN is in the midst of a good comeback season and he was claimed last out by the Alexander barn; he's worth a look in this competitive finale. (2) TELLITSABB returns locally and was in the Borgata series when last seen here. He's definitely a player here. (3) AMERICAN BOY N has seen better days but the speed is still there, as evidenced by that 1:50 4/5 win at Philly three back.
