Race 1: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(5) DANCININTHEFIRE was well off the pace last start and rallied for a small share but he picks up a more aggressive driver tonight and should be more involved. Three back in this class he won easily. (3) SARANAC BLUE CHIP moves to another new barn and clearly is better than his last race. (6) SAILBOAT HANOVER is as consistent as they come at this $15K claiming level but this is the worst draw he's had in quite a while and that may limit him to a smaller share tonight.

Race 2: F&M NW6544 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) LAURIE LEE hasn't been much of a player recently but she drops to the softest spot she's seen in some time and it's time for this classy veteran to wake up. (5) COACHELLABOUND N is another one loaded with back class and she's inching closer and closer to that elusive win. (3) MORE GOODA N has been just okay out of town and she lands Holland in her local return with the post edge on many of her rivals; she could be first to the front here.
Race 3: F&M NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) ISLAND BOUHINIA A lacks the class of others in here but she's been sharp up at Saratoga and ships down into a live barn, and into a live spot well inside some of the bigger names. (7) AARDIE B MIKI N was a McIntyre finalist and is able to drop while still racing well. She's the best in here despite the post, which could be her undoing. (6) LYDEO has loads of class and more importantly - gate speed. Let's see if new driver Marohn can get her to the front.
Race 4: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot
(4) AQUARIUS FACE S is sure to be overbet but the Engblom trainee simply looks best in here. (1) LUCKY MUM N finally draws a good post after having 7, 8, 7 in her last three. Four back from the six hole she just missed. (6) WARRIOR ONE makes his way back to Yonkers where he's done plenty of damage over the years. Now in the Adamczyk barn that race last week at Goshen wasn't awful.
Race 5: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) LUCKY ARTIST A can still bring it at her advanced age and she finds a softer field than she's been facing recently; could offer value picking up a driver who's capable but not a regular around these parts. (5) BOUT DAMN TIME A bumps up two notches in class off the Stratton reclaim coming off a dominating win; mare has missed a couple of weeks but still is capable with a similar effort. (2) TWIN B ECHO also steps up a bit in price off the Laterza claim and she's been on quite a roll recently.
Race 6: F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) WORKLIFEBALANCE had been inching closer and closer to a win recently and the Noel Daley 4YO finally broke through with a dominating score. She gets to stay at the same level as she fits the AE condition and is talented enough to repeat. (1) NILA MAREE N was second best to the top one last start and is in a prime position to be right there again. (3) WAITFOREVER N steps up off the Cory Stratton reclaim looking for three of four and Holland gets the catch drive tonight.
Race 7: NW10116 in last 5 starts Trot
(5) SIR MAVERICK has been right there in all recent Tioga starts and he now gives Yonkers a try to race for double the money. I think he's found a good spot here - he's got speed and is well-mannered. (7) HIGHLANDSTARBURST put it all together last week for her first win as a 4YO; Takter student is dangerous again despite the post. (3) MUSICAL RIDE was second best from a similar spot three starts ago.
Race 8: F&M Invitational Pace
(4) TICK A LOCH A had been unable to make an impression in her last two when too far back but now she moves in a couple of spots and early speed can be on display. (2) RASPALIA N gets another crack from an inside post as she wins the "2 thru 7" draw and will be a major player again. (6) COASTAL BABE N sizzled on the front end before tiring last week. Speed is her best game but she may be relegated to chasing tonight.

Race 9: NW16001 in last 5 starts Trot
(5) ONAJETPLANE looks to be rounding into top form as the Daley trainee transitions to life as an "aged" trotter; similar effort to his last gets it done. (1) VINNIE DE VIE moves all the way back to the inside where he'll be on or near the lead. (6) HONOLULU HANOVER ships in to Yonkers for Burke coming off a big closing effort at Pocono. He may not win tonight but could rally for a piece.
Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
This is a pretty rough field with a 6/5 ML dropping with little current form. Two shippers into new barns debut here at big prices on the ML so what the hell I'll use them. (8) LAMANDIER A arrives for Canadian connections via Tioga and Buffalo and lands in the Devita barn. He's intriguing despite the post. (5) CAPTAIN AWESOME makes his first start for Izzy Estrada after being caught up in a couple of fast miles recently at Philly. (2) HEZA RISK TAKER A is 0 for 14 but has been facing loads better recently; new driver tonight as Holland gets the call.
