MEET STATS: 197 - 544 / $1,116.60 (+$28.60) BEST BETS: 26 - 55 / $82.80 (-$27.20) Best Bet: MASTERSON (3rd) Spot Play: TOM ME GUN N (8th) Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace (2) VILLAGE CHAMP just missed two back at Philly when close to the pace and now the Garcia-Herrera trainee moves inside a few spots while dropping to the basement claiming class; seems like routine selecting. (1) SLUGGEM N is a logical speed player from the rail. (4) DEERFIELD BEACH took some money from the eight hole last week but was going nowhere; with the improved post Brennan will undoubtedly be more aggressive. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW15500 in last 5 starts Trot (3) KASHA V re-acclimated decently last week when he trotted evenly midpack facing better than these; Corelli trainee has shown serious talent at times and I think he fits well here. (1) SECRET BRO moves all the way inside after two consecutive eight holes and Kakaley sticks with him. (4) HOMER HALL has regained his stride recently for the Shane Tritton barn. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: $12,500 Claiming Pace (2) MASTERSON returns from Monticello and he's had plenty of success here over the years at the lower levels; Milici trainee should get it done as the chalk. (1) RANSOM DEMAND was all out for second last week as the uncovered winner got away; similar effort from a similar spot should yield similar results. (4) WILD WEST is much improved in his last two races; after being an afterthought every week he's now a legit contender. Race 4: $15,000 Claiming Pace (2) BLACKTREE was second best to a live winner last week after sitting a comfortable pocket trip; he should be in line for a similar-type journey tonight. (1) ZOEEZ BOY HENRY is one who I always seem to try to beat but the fact is the gelding has banked almost $40K this year and is usually live from inside posts. (6) PEMBROKE JOEY missed some time prior to last week's start and came up dull; he was an easy winner when last at this level. Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) MISTER DONALD A gives Yonkers a try after having some decent efforts at Meadowlands and Philly sprinkled in this season; Cassar trainee lands a decent starting spot in this rather dull field. (7) TIGERS WAY drops in class again for Lachance and he was an easy winner when last at this basement level; outside post is tough but that 20/1 morning line is attractive. (4) YAYAS HOT SPOT N surprisingly hasn't been first or second in 16 starts on the season which is disappointing for this import with over $500K earned. Race 6: $20,000 Claiming Pace (2) MACHING TIME was claimed last week by the always live Devita barn despite showing little the start prior; I'll give him a shot first time out for these connections. (3) ELRAMA N managed to pick up a check last week from the eight hole and now the Clegg trainee gets needed post relief; he's capable with this type as evidenced by that win four back. (5) ROUGH ODDS steps up in class off an easy front-end score upon arrival for the rejuvenated Dowse outfit. Race 7: Open Handicap Trot (7) HEY LIVVY proved that 1:53 qualifier was no fluke as she was a very impressive winner despite the long layoff; I hope it's not asking too much of her to repeat with the main competition to her inside but if the price is good I'll take a shot. (6) MISSISSIPPI STORM has been awesome all season (with the exception of one break in stride when parked out) and he gets a new pilot tonight with Brennan driving the Burke entrant. Bartlett will likely be on the move early with this one. (4) MELADY'S MONET finds a more realistic spot tonight and he would never be a surprise. Race 8: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) TOM ME GUN N finally lands a good inside post where he can be much more involved and he seems more than capable with smooth sailing. (3) ARCHANGEL THREE has been underachieving of late but he's raced well here in the past. (6) ERRRONTE A is another from this suddenly live Dowse barn and he lures Bartlett to drive. Race 9: NW25000 in last 5 starts Trot (2) FULL RIGHTS does have an Open win to his credit this year but he has tailed off a bit recently; he gets some needed class relief, lands a good post and tries a new pilot in Buter. (4) NEW HEAVEN is just a solid veteran trotter who always makes money for the Abbatiello barn; Marohn should have him on the move early from this spot. (3) REIGN OF HONOR has taken two straight in solid fashion up at Saratoga for lower-profile connections and he's got plenty of class to him. Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) OUR MAJORDAN A has gone from aged pacing sensation with a 1:47 3/5 mark at The Meadowlands to being questionable here in a NW5000. Will he show his class or burn more money? (1) PROVEN DESIRE also has loads of back class and he gets needed post relief. (3) ISLANDSPECIALMAJOR never got involved last week upon arrival; shows more tonight? [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 11: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (2) WITH OUT A DOUBT hinted at ability when we last saw her but she has really seemed to blossom over the last couple of months and Pocono and Philly; Garcia-Herrera trainee will probably be controlling the action here. (4) LINDSEY’S PRIDE gave way pretty badly last start at Philly, and combined with his prior start here makes this gelding awfully shaky. He does deserve consideration based on his prior body of work.  (7) NO MAS DRAMA finished third to Manchego last week; nothing wrong with that. Race 12: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (3) OZONE BLUE CHIP has been just okay of late but he is a good fit with this type and his early speed should set him up nicely. (1) HUNDIE N finished with plenty to just miss last out and now he gets Brennan back in the bike while drawing the rail; lots to like, but short price looming. (5) CLASSIC PRO figures to awaken eventually for a barn that's done good things all year.
