2026 MEET STATS: 122 - 356 / $688.79 (-$23.21) BEST BETS: 23 - 36 / $74.26 (+$2.26) BEST BET: FRONT PAGE STORY (9th) SPOT PLAY: SWEET BEACH LIFE (6th) Race 1: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) TH RIZZO was a good second in her local return and is tough to look past at this lower-conditioned level. (7) ALLERGA HANOVER has looked better in her last couple and does have early speed to get involved. (4) RACING FOR ROYALTY moves from claimers to this basement conditioned event and draws an improved post. Three back she was second best to a very classy winner. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (4) MUSCIAL RIDE double-drops in class and moves from the eight hole to the inside half of the gate. Even though the Lachance trainee has only hit the board once in eight tries this year (a win) this is a very logical spot. (8) HARD SEVEN has two qualifiers and a needed race at Philly under his belt to begin his 4YO campaign; Takter trainee figures to be moving forward despite the eight hole. (5) NO DRAMA PLEASE can call on that back class to pick up a piece. Race 3: F&M NW27171 in last 5 starts Pace Two talented recent Down-Under imports join the regulars here to spice up this race but I'm looking at (1) NILA MAREE N, who gets a free ride at this level after that easy win last out and the mare from the top Engblom/Bartlett tandem lands a controlling spot. She can rate her way to another victory (6) JENSVILLE A won her U.S. debut then finished with pace last start but had too far to come. Poor post again but she's a factor here. (4) LOOKSLIKEDIAMONDS A drew away for her first start with Team Tritton; steps up and can clearly take another one. Race 4: NW8501 in last 5 starts Trot (1) BRONZER is back from a good try at Tioga on their opening day and he's faced way better in all recent starts. Another logical favorite in a controlling spot. (7) THE HAZELTON was bothered last week when trying to get into play and lost all chance; Burke trainee was odds-on in that race and has been a money burner but will offer value tonight. (2) HIGHLANDSTARBURST was a little short in her 4YO debut for Takter. She was a stakes participant last year and also jogged in an overnight at Yonkers. Race 5: MGM Ursula McIntyre Series Consolation - 1 1/4 MILES **$25,000 Gtd. Pick-5 Pool** (2) BATH BOMB put in an honest effort through all five legs of the series and made over $42K in the process but didn't have enough to make the final. Last start was her fastest in that narrow defeat and I'm thinking once the dust settles she can move to the front and take these the (added) distance. (5) WALKIN ON SUNSHINE also battled through all five legs hitting the board every time but she mostly did seem a bit lacking in the late stages. Pelling trainee has been a winning machine here in the past and has every right to step up here. (8) DOUGS BABE A will be a longshot and has a chance to rally for a piece with Dexter. Race 6: MGM Borgata Pace Consolation - 1 1/4 MILES (8) SWEET BEACH LIFE showed a nice new dimension by coming from off the pace to make it close late in the final prelim and he's still got the speed to get off the gate from post eight. Alexander trainee has proven to be as good as any others in here and figures to be a very honest price. (4) CELTIC SPIRIT N can push off the gate for Bongiorno and he may well be the one to catch. (2) AYE AYE CAPTAIN N missed a nose in round one and then finished relatively close in each of the final four prelims. Holland can have her close again. Race 7: MGM Ursula McIntyre Series Final - 1 1/4 MILES (2) LOUIES GIRL N seems to have gotten stronger as the series has gone on and is coming into this off three straight wins, four of five since arriving, and back to back 1:51 4/5 life marks. Leading trainer and driver are perfectly spotted to take the lion's share of this $456K purse. (5) TARAPASTA has already had an accomplished career with almost $600K earned but she may have been doing her best racing throughout the McIntyre prelims. She can leave strong for the top but has also shown the ability to sustain a long time on the rim. (1) SILK CLOUD A may be in a position to hug the pylons throughout and hopefully get some running room. Lauren Tritton has handled the Pete Tritton trainee flawlessly. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: MGM Borgata Pace Final - 1 1/4 MILES (4) CAPTAIN ALBANO and (1) COACHES CORNER are two top-notch pacers from 2025 who battled in all the big races and were looking to keep it rolling into this season. Safe to say they have both come back strong and are hitting peak form as the stakes season is underway. I will give the edge here to #4, who lands a perfect post in this added-distance race and his two wins in the prelims came from spots where he was able to work out a good trip. Noel Daley trainee is well-spotted here and is capable of coming home fastest. Likely value over the deserving ML favorite in #1 are more positives in his corner. COACHES CORNER has a chance to do something here that was the only thing lacking on his resume - winning "the big one". Engblom trainee recently added Lasix and has done everything asked through his four preliminaries. Chance to be the controlling speed here and overcome the added distance. (7) MOSSDALE BEN N added a new dimension to his game this year with early speed now in the arsenal but from this outside post he's more likely to revert to his off-the-pace tactics. Last year's champ needs a trip but will be a price. Race 9: F&M NW15941 in last 5 starts Pace (2) FRONT PAGE STORY has the speed, the class and the much better post to work with tonight. She faces some talented ones but has a tactical edge and I think the race goes through her. (4) GLITTERING HOPE doesn't have the established class of others in here but she's raced well in her last couple and Holland gets along well with her. (2) CHERYLS SHADOW gets Bartlett back in the bike and figures to be close to the pace throughout.
