2026 MEET STATS: 122 - 356 / $688.79 (-$23.21) BEST BETS: 23 - 36 / $74.26 (+$2.26) BEST BET: CAPTAIN FEAR (6th) SPOT PLAY: SHEZ THE REASON A (2nd) Race 1: $15,000 Claiming Pace This race has many possibilities, and I'll go with the dropper (7) ROSE RUN ASTRO, who is in for $15K after being claimed by these connections last month for $20K. Whatever happened in that debacle of a race on May 2 seems to be corrected because that follow-up qualifier was fine, and I'm hoping this Dilloian Jr. trainee can offer value on the price and class drop. (3) BLOCKBUSTER TRADE finished well in his last two and the Lachance trainee seems to be rounding into winning form. (1) CHECKONWILLIAM GB is back in the Besim Odza barn via reclaim and he raced well for this outfit three back. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW6301 in last 5 starts Pace (6) SHEZ THE REASON A gets an aggressive catch driver in the bike as Holland gets the call and that's enough of an angle for me. (1) CRUISE ALERT draws the rail in a soft spot but she'll be much shorter odds than she's been recently and doesn't always step up when expected. (4) PINE BUSH MAGA figures to be using his early speed to his advantage. Race 3: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (7) FATHER MIKE is just 1 for 14 on the season but that one win was here against better and his race last week was fine. Poor draw again but maybe Dube can get him moving earlier. (3) UNEVERGONNAGETTHIS is still looking to recapture his form from prior years but that back class is tough to ignore. (4) CREDIT TO FRANK picked up a small share last out from the eight hole and the Burke homebred gets a much-improved post. Race 4: NW10226 in last 5 starts Trot (1) TORRONE has needed class and post relief tonight and it's those races from March 6 and February 27 where he won easily that have piqued my interest. (5) DIPLOMACY had finishing trot from trailing position last week and he figures to be much more involved tonight. (2) RITSON was a winner when last at the NW10000 base level and he'll be stalking from close up. Race 5: NW8226 in last 5 starts Trot (5) THE HAZELTON responded well last week when Brennan picked up the drive and he's back on the Burke trainee; sharp horse moving up gets the call. (1) STMIKES KERRYBLUES had some traffic from the pocket in his Yonkers debut and deserves another look. (3) LUCKY MUM N averaged $3,600 per start last year and now under $1,000 ps in 2026; maybe the couple of months off were good for her. Race 6: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) CAPTAIN FEAR has been caught up in some fast miles recently and he held his own; Fanning trainee should be perfectly spotted versus this camera-shy field. Rivals are a combined 2 for 80 in 2026. (4) THE MIKI TAKER A dropped to this level and flattened after an uncovered trip; Shane Tritton trainee gets a new driver as Brennan is in the bike tonight and looks to end a long winless streak. (1) CAVIART SARGENT was swallowed up late after battling classy rivals last out when he tipped from the pocket. Probably in line for a smoother trip. Race 7: NW15001 in last 5 starts Trot (2) BJM'S LIL MAN came from off the pace last week after airing it out the start prior and he charged home for the score. Step up in class won't derail him if he brings a similar effort. (3) P L OSCAR gets a new driver in Holland and has early speed. (1) DURANTE HANOVER was a winner two back then chased a 1:54 2/5 winner in his last start. Does he yield to outside speed or does Brennan look to seat rivals and take command? He may have that option starting from the rail. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: F&M NW24721 in last 5 starts Pace (5) JENSVILLE A hasn't done anything wrong in three starts after arriving from Down Under for the Chris Height barn; she gets a new driver as McCarthy is back across the river and looks tough here. (1) ELEKTRA A makes her first start since last October with just one qualifier under her belt but she is a legit Invitational-type talent. (8) RASPALIA N may be done in by the post but she's 8 for 10 on the season and deserves a long look. Race 9: F&M NW8251 in last 5 starts Pace (1) COACHELLABOUND N has exactly zero dollars earned in her last five but her rivals in here aren't exactly setting the world on fire either; class call from the rail in the finale. (2) BRI EXPRESS N has been racing in $50's and optional $60K claimers recently and has had awful posts recently. According to the conditions this level is the equivalent of a $15K claimer. (5) HUNTING HULA gets some more class relief and the Lachance trainee's lone win this year was against better.
