BEST BETS: 28 - 48 / $121.30 (+$25.30)

Spot Play: CINNABAR DRAGON (2nd)
Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace
(7) PEPPER GUY returned locally last week and was a good second to the class dropping Lettuceriprita A. Dowse trainee looks like routine selecting here despite the outside post. (4) BAKERSFIELD dropped to the basement for his last start and was okay. 11-year-old does have back class and should find a home at this level. (1) LOTTERY WINNER has put in two straight good efforts so maybe his problems are behind him.

Race 2: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(6) CINNABAR DRAGON was a winner when last at the $40K claiming level and tried taking a better field down the road in his last try before tiring. This is a very soft field he meets tonight and he seems more than capable. (4) PICARD A flashed good speed last week before tiring from the pocket. He had missed some time prior to that start so he may be tighter tonight. (3) EL JACKO N is two-for-two out of town since switching to this barn.

Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) SHANWAY N drops for the third consecutive start after returning from a couple of months off and he gets Kakaley in the bike tonight. Import should be a big factor here. (3) THE DOWNTOWN BUS had to drop to NW5000 to get a long-awaited win, but he looked good doing so. He's classy enough to repeat. (2) GAMBLING ADDICTION gets much-needed post relief and goes back to Bartlett. They teamed up for a second-place finish three back.
Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) RISKY MILLION closed a ton from nowhere last week to be second best at a big price. Though 0 for 12 he meets an equally camera-shy group tonight and seems capable with a live trip. (4) FOX VALLEY INFERNO drops from $20K claimers and the Spaccarelli trainee should be live here. (5) MISTER REBILLY A moves from the Pete Tritton barn to Bako and keeps Stratton; shows improvement?
Race 5: NW30000 in last 5 starts Trot
(8) HILLEXOTIC jogged from a similar spot four back, which was his first start for the Burke barn, and he raced decently in his last three over at The Meadowlands. Trotter clearly deserves top billing despite the eight hole. (3) FANATIC was aggressively handled last start but gave way late. Consistent sort should be in the picture. (1) NEW HEAVEN does his best work a level or two down but he's raced well in all recent and he draws best.
Race 6: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(5) AMERICAN BOY N was a solid winner last week, pacing a big back half to overtake the favorite and draw off at the end. Classy 11-year-old is clearly capable of repeating. (1) MISSILE SEELSTER took plenty of money into the top two in the same race as the top choice but he could not reach off cover; drawing inside should give him a better chance. (4) TONY TOO TALL was claimed countless times at the $50K level but came up empty last week and immediately drops to 40's. He can fire to the lead from this spot.
Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(5) SWANSEA raced better last week coming out of the pocket and was second best; DiDomenico trainee goes back to Brennan and meets a pretty soft field. (1) SHADRACK HANOVER blew away the field at Pocono two back when first-time Lasix, then held okay last out after a grinding trip. He can go well from this spot. (6) JUDGE BOB took tons of money facing better upon arrival but offered up nothing. Connections give him another try here and he does meet easier.
Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) LIFEONTHEBEACH A jogged last start in NW5000, which was probably expected since the Jenn Bongiorno barn claimed him three back for $50K; he seems more than capable of repeating bumping back up a notch. (1) AIR FORCE HANOVER was racing well with much better a couple of months back and would seem to have no excuse to not be right there with these. (5) I'M BENECIO A gets to drop after two poor efforts after being claimed by Bako for $50K; tough to know what to expect here.
Race 9: $20,000 Claiming Pace
(5) MANHATTAN BEACH has been a steady check-getter over at The Big M for Burke and he arrives locally now in the Cory Stratton barn. Form and back class would indicate that he will fit well with these. (4) HOPETOBEFIRST never seriously threatened upon shipping in from Pocono and finished an even third; maybe the 14-year-old making his 443rd lifetime start will benefit from that acclimating mile. (1) SPORTSKEEPER drops in class and moves all the way back inside.
Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) NEXT BIG THING could not sustain an uncovered bid last week in his second start off the Shane Tritton claim but he faces a bit softer and draws well again; one more try. (3) ON THE VIRG has been okay his last few starts and should be close to the pace throughout. (8) SAULSBROOK HERO was airborne in the stretch last out to snap third; can he do it again?

Race 11: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(4) SEAFARER didn't get involved until it was too late last start but the Jenn Bongiorno trainee gets Joe B in the bike tonight and he figures to be forwardly placed. (7) MY MIND IS MADEUP raced super last two starts and now goes for Dowse off another claim and picks up Bartlett. (2) VENIER HANOVER was claimed again out of his last start and now goes to DiDomenico; Dube keeps the drive and he's another in here that's been going well of late.
Race 12: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(1) SECRET BRO was a good second two back versus better and now drops and lands inside again; expect Bongiorno to try taking this field coast to coast. (3) THE LAST CHAPTER has good early speed which usually sets him up with a live trip. (6) JUSTLIKEHIM seems to have overcome his breaking problem and the Dowse trainee faces better looking for two straight.
