MEET STATS: 114 - 309 / $598.70 (-$19.30) BEST BETS: 15 - 31 / $49.60 (-$12.40) Best Bet: STORMY KROMER (7th) Spot Play: I’M BENICIO A (4th) Race 1: $12,500-$15,000 Claiming Handicap Pace (5) ZOEEZ BOY HENRY technically bumps up to the $15K claiming level but he doesn't land a bad spot in this abbreviated field and except for that race two back where he was wiped out the Garcia-Herrera trainee has been very consistent; veteran deserves top billing here looking for another win. (3) WAVES OF FIRE A was claimed back by the Temming barn and raced well last week to be third best; he should grab another good piece here. (4) CANDELL isn't all that much but he does get Brennan back in the bike and could be forwardly placed. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Blue Chip Matchmaker Mares Pace (4) ALEXA SKYE looks to remain perfect in the series and so far the recent purchase by the Cullipher barn has been working out great; she only faces four rivals tonight after taking last week off and she should find a way to get it done again. (3) SIESTA BEACH had been long overdue coming into last week's race and she charged home powerfully to nail not only the pacesetting Snobbytown but also the heavily favored Machinhope; former $40K claimer has a big chance here. (2) SOHO BURNING LOVE A has been a bit of a disappointment and has also missed time due to sickness; Tetrick isn't here to drive her which seems like another negative. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: $12,500 Claiming Pace (4) MILITARY MASTER A dropped in for a tag last week and was taken by Blumenfeld for Illinois connections and they recently had plenty of success with the veteran Control Tower; perhaps lightning can strike twice? (1) VICTORIAS MAVERICK returns locally and was a solid second here three back facing better; main threat. (3) MATT MAJOR suddenly has a breaking problem but he's got plenty of early speed if he minds his manners. Race 4: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (4) I’M BENICIO A finally broke through into the win column (and of course I didn't bet him) with a wire-to-wire score and I think he's talented enough to handle a bit better. (3) KILLER MARTINI woke up in a big way last week and he's capable of stringing together multiple good efforts. (1) BAKERSFIELD never had an anxious moment on the front end last week. Race 5: NW8200 in last 5 starts Pace (4) BILL HALEY N pulled pocket early last week but could not get by the stubborn leader; Lance Hudson trainee has put in multiple good efforts recently without a win to show for it so maybe tonight's the night. Price should be decent in this competitive field. (2) GHOST DANCE has also been going well lately and he should be in line for a good trip. (5) SILAS SEELSTER didn't rally last week when the classy Keystone Phoenix got loose on the lead; he does fit with these, however, and the barn is hot. Race 6: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) WAR DAN DELIGHT N gets some post and class relief and this is seemingly a much better spot tonight for this import; Harmon trainee should offer some value as the likely third choice. (4) GIVENUPDREAMING has been underachieving in all recent but he plunges to the basement and is running out of excuses. (1) FULLBACK seems to disappoint more often than not and is generally overbet when he's in live spots; don't accept too short of a price. Race 7: Open Handicap Trot (4) STORMY KROMER wins the 'four through eight' draw so the post relief makes him routine selecting; he's a strong candidate to take this field wire-to-wire. (5) MISSISSIPPI STORM came back from the layoff last week and charged home to nail it at the wire. He's listed as the 8/5 morning-line choice but in my opinion will never be the favorite here; Fanning trainee could complete the exacta. (7) SWANSEA came up a bit short from the pocket last out but we know he can go with these and could hit the ticket if not too far back. Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) GENIUS MAN was very game and determined with last week’s win; Bucci trainee faces better here but could be sharp enough to get it done. (4) CENTURY FURY pummeled a weak field two back then closed well last week; anything from the Jenn Bongiorno barn has to be respected. (6) CAPOZZO drops in class to the level where he's most competitive at but he's never done particularly well from outside posts; still worthy of consideration, however. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 9: NW17800 in last 5 starts Trot (5) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN dropped and popped last out now he moves back up the ladder a bit but he faces no standouts here; trotter seems like the one to beat here looking for his fourth seasonal win. (1) THE LAST CHAPTER has good speed from the best post and will be in line for a live trip. (7) WITH OUT A DOUBT put in a big scare to the backers of Melady's Monet last week when he cleared that foe passing three quarters but he broke soon after; clearly this Garcia-Herrera trainee has live moves and will be a big price here. Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) ALEPPO HANOVER loomed large turning home last start but hung a bit late and couldn't get past the well-meant frontrunner; this is clearly a live spot but use some caution as he has just one win over the last two seasons. (3) ARTMAGIC has back class and was a decent third versus similar two back; he can be considered picking up Kakaley, especially at his 12/1 morning line. (7) MR BIG WIG ships from Delaware and joins the DiDomenico barn; he's got little current form and a tough post but he bears watching.
