Race 1: NW20880 in last 5 starts Trot
(1) MAGICAL JOURNEY was aggressively handled in his first start with the hobbles added but tired badly from the pocket in a disappointing effort. He's right back in to go which is a good sign and he may not have to work as hard tonight to secure a good trip. (5) BARRY BLACK steps back up in class off a pocket-sitting score and the French-bred should be on the move early. (4) KASHA V is a quality trotter from the Corelli barn who doesn't win often but usually comes away with a share.

Race 2: $15,000 Claiming Pace
(5) DAAAMERICANSKY should appreciate the class relief and the Dowse trainee can take these the distance. (3) P H KENNY seems like he's been around forever and he also faces softer in his second start off the bench. (4) KINGSTONS BAD BOY lands in a better spot for Garcia-Herrera and should be more involved but he's burned money here in the past.

Race 3: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) KEYSTONE DASH looked like he was leaving from the eight hole last week but Bartlett aborted that mission, then he did have some pace finishing. Pacer faces some good ones in here but will be a juicy price. (5) MIGHTY SANTANA N hasn't done much since the $50K claim by the Stratton barn but he does face softer tonight. (1) EPIC ACE steps up off a solid win and he draws best.
Race 4: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(3) BUXTON took money in his first start in over a year but the Lachance trainee had a tough trip and could only pass tired and troubled ones. Perhaps with a smoother journey he could be ready to score. (4) EYE OFA TIGER AS reverted to bad habits again last week, but his start prior was a solid win. (7) SWANSEA figures to be on the move early but finishing his miles has been a problem recently.
Race 5: 2022 Blue Chip Matchmaker Mares FFA Leg #4 Pace
(1) MAN DONTFORGET ME finished with sneaky pace in the first two legs of the series and was a solid second to the runaway Racine Bell last week. Mare draws best and may be ready to score. (3) MACHNHOPE never got involved last week but just missed from a similar spot the start prior. (4) LIT DE ROSE took last week off after tiring with little excuse in round two; Lachance trainee should be leaving the gate from this spot.
Race 6: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) ROLLING WITH SAM plunges in class, moves to the Dowse barn, picks up Bartlett and draws best. Seems like all-systems-go tonight. (4) BETTER UP never entered contention last week but he draws better and just missed two back in a front-end try. (5) MAJOR BEAN got brutally parked here two back and can be excused for that effort; Cory Stratton trainee was a solid winner the start prior.
Race 7: 2022 Blue Chip Matchmaker Mares FFA Leg #4 Pace
(5) DRAMA ACT showed what she's really capable of last week with that solid two-move win where she battled with and wore down Miss You N. Burke trainee should be pointed to the front and can take these coast to coast like she did in the first Matchmaker round. (1) BEST HEAD WEST closed with plenty last week for a board spot and was a close second the prior two starts; major threat moving back inside. (3) MYSTICAL CARRIE took last week off after posting wins in the first two legs; she's a must-use in exotic play.
Race 8: Open Handicap Trot
(3) MISSISSIPPI STORM was jammed in the pocket last start and got clear too late; he's a proven Open entity and from this good draw he looms the one to beat. (4) STREET GOSSIP tripped out in his last two races to post upset wins and he figures to offer a bit of value again. (6) EUROBOND broke in his last local try but followed that up with two strong wins at Pocono.
Race 9: 2022 Blue Chip Matchmaker Mares FFA Leg #4 Pace
(4) BLUE IVY came up dull in round one in the series but followed that up with back-to-back solid second-place finishes, reminding us that she can still go with these top mares. Favorable trip can get it done. (6) MISS YOU N was outbattled by Drama Act last week in a stirring stretch duel; talented mare has speed and Dunn probably doesn't want to be sitting near the back. (3) GIA'S SURREAL finished a respectable third after missing the first two legs of the series, showing a sick scratch in round one.

Race 10: NW5175 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) SPOILERONTHEBEACH dropped to this basement level last week and went down the road but was nipped on the wire. He deserves another chance, despite Bartlett opting off. (7) PADUKA N drops in class again looking for that elusive first 2022 victory; this is the horse that Bartlett stuck with. (3) SWEET TRUTH had dull cover and didn't fire last out; he may try saving ground tonight and shake free with late pace.
Race 11: $20,000 Claiming Pace
(5) PACING MAJOR N is clearly feeling good again after finding a home at this $20K claiming level and despite seeing his modest winning streak snapped last out this Pete Tritton-trained veteran deserves top billing. (4) SEAFARER overcame a poor start to finish strongly for second last out and now goes for Bongiorno off the claim; Bartlett gets the catch-drive. (1) VERGEOFGREATNESS N moves all the way inside after a string of poor posts.
