2024 MEET STATS: 68 - 224 / $400.60 (-$47.40) BEST BETS: 11 - 19 / $39.50 (+$1.50) BEST BET: LAURIE LEE (8th) SPOT PLAY: WINDSUN TIARA (6th) Race 1: NW10176 in last 5 starts Trot (3) MAX has put in two solid efforts in his last two local races and the Garcia-Herrera trotter may be ready to tackle a bit better. (2) SWEET SOUL DAVID has missed a couple of weeks off a sick scratch but he's a perfect fit at this level and draws well. (5) GRINDER was an easy winner when last at this base level and he's certainly held his own facing better; Holland is back driving as Gingras opted for #8. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW30000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) TWIN B SUNKISSED was in NW5000 not too long ago (and didn't even win) but she's made her way back up the ladder with a series of solid efforts; Burke trainee had post eight last week going nowhere but just missed the start prior from this post. (6) SILK CLOUD A goes for the hat trick and four of five overall; post is clearly a concern but we've seen her rally from the back as well. (1) DRAGONS LUCKY LADY should appreciate the move back inside and figures to be close to the pace; lands a share. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: F&M NW20041 in last 5 starts Pace I've been following (1) LUCKY ARTIST A for an extended period of time and despite being a touch short last week overall this classy mare has been good. Drop to NW20000 and rail draw should make her tough. (5) NO WIN NO FEED A has been right there in every start this year and she figures to be moving early again. (4) OAXACAN DREAM N closed from nowhere with plenty at a big number in her local return and she can also be successful from up on the pace. Race 4: Blue Chip Matchmaker Leg #4 F&M Pace (3) DOUGS BABE A was able to reach last week in round three despite having to come from last in that five-horse affair; post improvement makes her the logical favorite to repeat. (4) COACHELLABOUND N responded nicely with Gingras picking up the drive and he's in the bike again; Bucci trainee deserves a long look. (2) MIKALA never got involved last week but now she moves back inside and she will likely be the one to catch. Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot (2) SEVENSHADESOFGREY throws in the occasional miscue but when he minds his manners he's proven to be a legit talent; Holland is back driving and he's won with him in the past. (3) THE LAST CHAPTER is one of the main speeds in here and is more than capable of winning this. (5) KASHA V went steadily as no threat first time out with the hobbles and he's eligible to improve. Race 6: F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) WINDSUN TIARA added Lasix a few back and took two straight in front-end fashion at Pocono; Cullipher trainee returns to Yonkers facing better but I think she's too sharp to ignore. (5) PEMBROKE SOUTHIE is another razor-sharp mare in here and though too far back to make a serious bid in her debut at this level she finished strongly to be third. Dexter Dunn picks up the drive again and perhaps will take a more aggressive route. (1) HELLO YES HI makes her 4YO debut for the Burke stable and has a lot to prove coming off the bench; homebred has very strong bloodlines. Race 7: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (5) BENHOPE RULZ N has been forwardly placed in his last two after dropping to this level and he faces a field where the favorites may be a bit shaky. (7) AMERICAN MERCURY is classiest but he's burned money in his two seasonal starts and now on the drop he's faced with an outside post. (1) OCEAN RIDGE N is just 1 for 8 this year after winning 17 times in 2023; another who drops without much current form. Race 8: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (4) LAURIE LEE returns to Yonkers and she's had plenty of success here in the past. Dunn picks up the drive from a midpack post where she can utilize some of her early speed. (2) GAME OF SHADOWS gets needed class relief and figures to be more involved here. (6) GINGER TREE LIZ just missed in an improved effort last week on the dropdown and she looks to offer some value here. Race 9: Blue Chip Matchmaker Leg #4 F&M Pace (1) LIT DE ROSE has been sharp through the series and may not have to work that hard to pick up a third win. No much value here but she does deserve top billing. (6) DELITFULCATHERIN N hit a bit of a dull patch a few months back but she's back in top form. Only question is how aggressively she's sent off the gate as she's got some potential speed lined up inside of her. (4) RACINE BELL was better last week with Lasix added; millionaire needs to pick up some series points quickly. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW16421 in last 5 starts Trot (3) HAT TRICK MARLEAU double-jumped in class last week and rallied nicely to be second; I suspect he'll be forwardly placed tonight with only #1 to contend with early inside of him. (6) VINNY DE VIE returns from an unsuccessful try at The Meadowlands and was a good second locally the start prior. (1) WINDSONG PIONEER has speed and the rail but has been lacking in the stamina department; use underneath. Race 11: F&M NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) COWGIRL LILLY has gotten off to a slow start this season after banking $156K last year but at this bottom level she figures to be a major player. (5) FORTUNADA drops from the age-restricted NW ranks as she makes her second start off the bench; likely short price looming with Bartlett. (4) CLEAR THE WAY also drops from the NW's lifetime ranks and lands a much better post.
