2026 MEET STATS: 30 - 100 / $149.26 (-$50.74) BEST BETS: 6 - 10 / $17.42 (-$2.58) BEST BET: CHERYLS SHADOW (5th) SPOT PLAY: INCANTATION (7th) Race 1: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot (1) PISCES RISING ships in returning locally for Burke and he fits the lowest class here looking for two straight; Gingras drives. (4) IRA WHO moves into the Engblom for his local debut off so-so form down at Dover; Trotter picks up Bartlett and probably fits at this level. (3) VOSS BLUE CHIP is another invader who is now in the Fucso barn and he was racing in $40K claimers when we last saw him here. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (1) IM OFFGONE N hasn't been bad in four starts after arriving locally and joining the Alexander barn. Mare picked off a few last week from the eight hole and now moves all the way in to the rail. (2) LAURIE LEE hasn't won at Yonkers in over a year but she's got a long and relatively successful history here mostly facing better. She's inching towards $500K lifetime. (3) MARIA ALLEGONDA N set a pressed pace and tired last week when dropping to this class. She'll likely be off the pace tonight and regular driver Siegelman has quietly been driving well. Race 3: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot (2) TORRONE blazed down the road last week parking a rival and held gamely and safely to the wire. Fanning trainee steps up a level but he's got plenty of back class to handle better. (3) LUCKY MUM N wasn't far off last out in an improved effort and the mare could be ready for a big race; she will offer some value if she hits the top two. (4) CHAPHEART now has a close third and a win in two starts for the Engblom barn after arriving from Dover but he does have to step up another level. Race 4: F&M NW16841 in last 5 starts Pace (2) FRONT PAGE STORY is as consistent as they come and is always a major player when drawn on the inner half of the gate. She can do it on the lead or from the pocket and one of those scenarios is very likely to play out tonight. (1) GLITTERING HOPE was a winner last week and gets to stay at the same level. Her last three at this NW15000 base class have resulted in two wins and a solid second. (6) DRAGONS LUCKY LADY drops again for the top driver/trainer but it's been a while since she's shown early speed and obviously Bartlett has to get her in play early to have a legit chance. Race 5: F&M NW10721 in last 5 starts Pace (3) CHERYLS SHADOW very likely benefitted from last week's trip, her first in over three months. Classy mare drops, draws a better post and switches to Bartlett. Likely to have a major tactical edge on recent import (4) SHEZ THE REASON A, who has finished strongly for two straight wins since arriving for Steve Smith and Karen Garland. (2) HUNTING HULA drops a level in her second seasonal start for Lachance and gets major post relief; smooth trip gets her a piece. Race 6: NW10000 in last 5 starts Trot (7) INCANTATION rallied past a couple of rivals for a small piece in her first race with the hobbles added, and both that effort and the qualifier with the new equipment seem to point to further improvement being a distinct possibility. 4YO mare faces a field with many camera-shy rivals and she'll be a price coming off her 20/1 ML. (4) SEVENSHADESOFGREY has to step up in class off three close defeats and that puts him at 1 for 30 since the beginning of 2025. Tough to love that as a heavy favorite. (6) STREET GOSSIP is another who lacks the winning habit but he did fly home for a rare win last week and does have plenty of back class. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 7: F&M NW5201 in last 5 starts Pace (1) TOBAGO TIME is by far the classiest in here and she drops to the bottom, draws the rail and switches to Bartlett. She really doesn't have much of an excuse tonight. (3) SP DANCINWITHSTARZ exits $20K claimers and she was second the last time she drew a reasonable post. (5) TALENT TO SPARE A also drops back to the NW5000 level and moves inside a couple of notches for the Lance Hudson barn, which has been good all season. Race 8: F&M Invitational Pace (1) COASTAL BABE N was a total jogburger in her initial start for the Bako barn after arriving from Down Under and she gets the nod to repeat stepping up to the top class, especially from the rail. (4) TICK A LOCH A is also a recent import, this one for the Height barn, and she's done nothing wrong since arriving; expect her to be right there at the wire. (7) LLOYD'S LOVES is already 3 for 3 this season and LOVES to win. Actually her win record over the last three seasons is quite remarkable, but she'll have to be super to get another one after drawing the worst post. Race 9: NW7500 in last 5 starts Trot (5) ONCE IN A LIFETIME finished third from the eight hole last week facing better and the Jim Campbell trainee was a winner the last time he was in this class. Only potential drawback is the lack of early speed - maybe Kakaley can get going earlier tonight. (1) HAT TRICK MARLEAU is extremely logical here but the $100K earner over the last 13 months stands at just 3 for 45 in the win column. (7) VINNY DE VIE was nailed on the wire last week and now moves outside but he's capable and will offer some value. [DRF HARNESS: Follow me on X! @drfharnessmatt]
