Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace

(6) CONTROL TOWER drops back to the $12,500 Claiming level and he moves in a couple of spots after being uninvolved last week from the eight hole; DiDomenino-trained veteran should find a way to beat these. (3) ROCK ON PRECIOUS benefitted from the leader quitting last out but he still turned it around in a big way when he scored at 42/1; no reason why the 13-year-old can't be right there again. (7) ZOEEZ BOY HENRY folded badly last week but was claimed out of the race by Garcia-Herrera, who has been live with everything recently.

Race 2: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) SWANSEA was nipped late by a sharp rival in last week's effort which ended up being a two-horse affair; he seems to be steadily getting sharper and deserves top billing. (6) MELADY'S MONET never fired last out at The Meadowlands but his prior half-mile form has been stellar; if he can make his way on or near the front he'll come away with a big piece. (3) KINDA LUCKY LINDY will probably be grinding uncovered and can hold off the rest for a piece.

Race 3: $12,500 Claiming Pace

(5) P H KENNY was claimed for $15K two back and finished second at that level last out; he now drops in for $12,500 and we've seen DiDomenico do this in the past with good results. (2) MATT MAJOR was second best in his last two for the hot Alexander barn. (1) OHOKA JOHNNY N returns from Monticello for Cory Stratton and he's in for a tag now while drawing best; he should be in line for a good trip.

Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) DARK ENERGY N got shuffled back last week when stuck behind a tiring rival; Cassar trainee raced decently the prior two starts and the import seems overdue. (1) SUNKEN TREASURE took some money last week even though he had missed some time and it didn't seem like a good spot. He's back in on consecutive weeks now and moves all the way inside. (8) SOHO LEVIATHAN A clearly fits with these; only problem is the post.

Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) ABERDEEN HANOVER has never been the most prolific winner but he's hard to pass up at this bottom-conditioned level. (7) I’M BENICIO A rallied mildly last week in a much-improved pari-mutuel effort and a catch-driver is listed again. (1) ALEPPO HANOVER put in a decent effort in last before tiring; Bartlett's choice.

Race 6: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) RAPTORS FLIGHT N returns from a failed try in the claiming series at Pocono and he was a winner here in his last start with Kakaley at the controls; he can get it done with a smooth trip. (1) SANTAFE'S COACH got it done at odds-on at this level two back for Lachance and he figures to be one of the choices again tonight. (3) MACINTOSH N has good early speed which makes this veteran a serious player with this type.

Race 7: Open Trot

(5) STORMY KROMER was away at the rear last week and did rally nicely into second, though no match for the sharp Lindsey's Pride. Stafford trainee should be able to make the lead tonight and he can take these the distance. (3) BROADWAY ATHENA hikes back up to the top level after his pocket-sitting score where she edged by Swansea. As noted many times recently the Garcia-Herrera barn is hot. (6) LINDSEY’S PRIDE set a lifetime mark last week in a razor-sharp effort; he's got to be considered despite drawing the outermost post.

Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) BETTORS FIRE N drops in class and this classy veteran is starting to run out of excuses; I'll give him one more chance. (5) MARK WITHA K just missed last out and seems to be feeling good again. (8) AIR FORCE HANOVER found a soft spot last week and converted at ridiculous 1/9 odds. He's up in class and stuck all the way outside, but obviously the price goes way up if you fancy him.

Race 9: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot

(4) NEW HEAVEN rallied mildly in his last three from tough outside posts which indicates he's maintained his sharpness; veteran usually offers good value. (2) THE LAST CHAPTER is up a notch in class off a trip-sitting win and he's got the talent to handle better. (1) ARABELLA'S CADET also steps back up the ladder going for three straight; just don't accept too short of a price in a field with many other options.

Race 10: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) ROCK DIAMONDS N just missed last out when he shook free too late and he had drawn into a good spot before they cancelled; Cushing veteran can trip out here. (6) IDEAL JIMMY takes a notable drop in class and would be no surprise. (5) ROCK LIGHTS returns from a failed try down at Dover but the Harris trainee just missed in two prior local efforts and he can come away with a good piece here.
