Best Bet: SNOBBYTOWN (6th)
Spot Play: MAJOR BUCKS (3rd)
Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace
(2) ZOEEZ BOY HENRY has been very strong in his last two for the tandem of Garcia-Herrera and Dan Dube, despite getting nipped last week by a rival with back class. Veteran is clearly the one to beat in the opener. (1) THEREISPACEFORUS went a big mile in defeat last out and now he gets major post relief; second best? (8) P H KENNY has been a hot commodity at the claim box despite not winning recently and he goes back to the Hernandez barn for tonight but he's stuck outside again.

Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) CENTURY FURY has a 1:53 2/5 win here already this season facing NW6 conditioned types and he draws best in this NW5000 event for Team Bongiorno. Only problem here is the recent injured scratch and missed time so it's hard to get overly excited about him at odds-on. (3) ART SCENE tired from the pocket in his local return but his prior local starts versus better were decent and he's got back class. (7) TAP TAP TAP lands another outside post but he raced well in his last two and obviously he fits well here.

Race 3: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MAJOR BUCKS was taken out of his last by Jenn Bongiorno for $15K and he drops in tonight for NW5000. Barn change here makes him pretty routine selecting. (1) SOLID ASA ROCK A has been facing better recently with limited success; veteran will appreciate the class relief. (2) SPORTSKEEPER has been a steady check-earner in most of his recent starts and will be sitting close up from this spot.
Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MARTY MONKHOUSER A beat a notch better than these to close out 2020 and the drop to NW5000 will certainly help his cause; Stratton drives again for his brother and the 12-year-old deserves top billing. (1) MILITARY MASTER A was a good second last week chasing a strong front-end winner and obviously he looms large tonight from the rail spot. (7) DEETZY has plenty of back class and looks to have regained his confidence with blowout wins versus lesser up at Saratoga; Tetrick picks up the catch-drive and we’ll see if he can get involved from the poor post.
Race 5: Open Handicap Trot
In what is always a tough event to figure out, (4) EYE OFA TIGER AS got Tetick in the bike last out and kicked home strongly to roll by lesser. Lorentzon trainee has a load of class and can handle this type if he minds his manners. (2) ARABELLA'S CADET was cruising along on the front end last start but broke preparing for the stretch drive; Jenn Bongiorno trainee had won her prior three which earned her a bump to the Open ranks. With smooth sailing she may be talented enough. (7) LINDSEY'S PRIDE had no chance last week from the eight hole so just ignore that race; while she's still outside this is a better spot to take a shot firing from the gate.
Race 6: Blue Chip Matchmaker Pacing Series
(2) SNOBBYTOWN was outbattled late in a game try in round two of the Matchmaker and Brennan will be favored with the Burke trainee to take these coast to coast. (6) KEEP ROCKIN A was decent in her U.S. debut, missing a nose for second to Alexa Skye; this looks like a good spot for Tetrick to take a swing off the gate. (1) CAVIART CHERIE will be sitting close up, perhaps in the pocket to the top choice.
Race 7: Blue Chip Matchmaker Pacing Series
(6) ALEXA SKYE is perfect so far in the series, with two easy front-end scores. Mare may have to work a bit harder tonight but she deserves the nod to take another. (5) BLUE IVY certainly hasn't disappointed thus far, closing crisply in both local races. She does have tactical speed at Buter's disposal from this midpack post. (2) SEASWIFT JOY N was left alone on an open lead last week at 11/1 despite the fact they weren't going all that fast; she should come out of this race with another nice piece.
Race 8: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) AIR FORCE HANOVER brushed and crushed two back versus lesser, then was left with a little too much to do coming from last into a rated pace last out; move all the way inside makes the Shane Tritton trainee the one to beat. (2) THE REV has speed from a good post and the veteran will be part of the early action. (5) SILAS SEELSTER closed well in his last couple and the Devita trainee certainly seems overdue for a win.

Race 9: NW16050 in last 5 starts Trot
(6) MELADY'S MONET hasn't been at the absolute top of his game recently but the drop in class from the Open ranks will help his cause. Veteran can take this with a reasonable trip. (2) YES moved back to the Erv Miller barn and has reeled off three in a row while moving up the class ladder; he may be sharp enough to contend versus these. (4) THE LAST CHAPTER looks like the main speed in here…never a bad thing.
Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SPORTS BETTOR drops back down to the NW5000 level where he always does his best work and he should offer a better price than the logical (4) BELTANE A. The latter has been good for Lance Hudson since coming back from vacation and he closed very willingly last week from too far back. (1) ROCK N BLUE was no match for the top two last week in what was a quick mile for this class; he draws inside again and should hit the ticket.
