MEET STATS: 25 - 70 / $115.70 (-$24.30) BEST BETS: 4 - 7 / $13.90 (-$0.10) Best Bet: MELADY'S MONET (9th) Spot Play: BLAYDE HANOVER (1st) Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace (2) BLAYDE HANOVER got torched from the eight hole in his first start off the DiDomenico claim and he can clearly be excused for that effort. Post improvement makes him a big player here. (1) REASONABLE FORCE doesn't win often but he hails from a hot barn and should have a good stalking trip. (5) GUNPOWDER N was finally claimed away from Peter Tritton and he remains at a winning level for Garcia-Herrera while keeping Stratton in the bike; I'll look to beat him tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (2) BARRY BLACK failed to get involved last week but he did have some decent finishing speed. Bucci trainee still appears to be sharp and he gets top call. (3) GRINDER gets major post relief and figures to be in the thick of things. (5) LINDSEY’S PRIDE is back up in class off a front-end score at 1/9 odds; note the barn change here to Travis Alexander. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: $15,000 Claiming Pace (3) RECORD YEAR raced well off the DiDomenico claim to be second best to a sharp rival; he faces some good talent in here but could offer the best price of the contenders. (1) SHOREVIEW has been racing well from off the pace recently but he figures to be aggressively handled tonight by Bongiorno. (5) BANK SEA returns from The Meadowlands down in claiming price and he was a winner here on 12/7. Race 4: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) ROCK N TONY has been showing nothing recently at the lowest conditioned level at The Big M but he moves into the Cory Stratton barn and brother Jordan picks up the drive. Maybe the change in scenery helps his cause. (4) BARIMAH A hasn't won in some time but his last few races haven't been all that bad; price option. (7) YANKEE OSBORNE gets some needed class relief but he needs to work out a trip from post seven. Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (4) PEPPER GUY rallied very willingly two back from a similar spot; Stafford trainee gets Holland back in the bike and he's got some class to him. (6) HEISMAN PLAYER qualified very nicely upon his return from Canada and he took plenty of money when last here (with mixed results). 5-year-old should fit well with these and could offer a decent price. (3) BRAVO TEX N drops and gets post relief; he raced well to hit the board versus better two and three back. Race 6: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) LOCKTON LUCK A finished mildly last Friday in a needed start and he's back in to go on consecutive weeks; Lance Hudson trainee won't offer much value but he appears to be the one to beat. (5) MAGRITTE has some back class and is usually a live player at this NW5000 level. (2) SPORTSKEEPER sat the pocket from start to finish last week at a big price and that was his first start in over a month. Veteran has beaten better than these in the past. Race 7: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (6) MACHIATTO A has flashed solid early speed in his last two to set up nice pocket trips; he gets Bartlett in the bike tonight and may be able to work out a nice trip again at a good price. (5) ANTHEM N seems like he should be better than he is but he drops in class and should respond. (3) SANTAFE'S COACH has been close up recently with better. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 8: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (6) MCERLEAN showed little when up in class but was a game winner the start prior with similar; classy veteran is about to eclipse the million-dollar mark in earnings. (1) BABES DIG ME returns locally, draws best and is reunited with Bartlett; the favorite? (3) SUNKEN TREASURE was second best last out facing better and that was his first start in over two months; Temming trainee gets Stratton in the bike tonight. Race 9: NW20500 in last 5 starts Trot (2) MELADY'S MONET has been razor-sharp recently at the top level at Freehold and the ageless wonder just keeps trucking along; he lands a nice post here and is clearly the one to deny. (3) EYE OFA TIGER AS added hobbles for his last start and he responded with a wire-to-wire score; Bartlett stays with the Lorentzon trainee and he should land a nice share. (6) SWANSEA has grown into a great upper-conditioned trotter and he certainly needed last week's start after a long vacation. Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (2) IMAROCNROLLEGEND N didn't do much last out facing better but it was a much-improved effort after that debacle on 1/11; Jenn Bongiorno trainee should be better than these. (4) NO ORDINARY MAN came ready to play last week and he could be sharp enough to handle the bump in class. (3) STOP ACTION rallied very nicely at a big price last start.
